The Return
« on: December 24, 2006, 05:39:23 PM »
Hello everyone.

Some of you will remember me, others won't. I left here sometime around the end of June because of a faulty internet connection which went on until near September. Since then I've been working hard towards becoming a professional writer and found that I couldn't concentrate on that and good RP at the same time. I'm now 4 novelettes, several short stories and half a novel done, and I'm slowly making a return to this place.

Anyway, enough of that. The real point of this post, is just to clear up a couple of things. I've been milling around here for the last few days, and I've been in game doing a bit of crafting and meeting new people, etc, but I notice that my character (Kurgaz Ulfson) no longer has a Lore page (unless you query him) and doesn't appear in any of the top tradeskill lists (weaponsmithing in particular as he's level 13). So I'm just wondering if there is any reason for this, and if there's anything I can do to rectify it.

Thanks in advance.

Oh, and Merry Christmas ;)

Edit: I should probably note that I have two other characters who are both listed in the Lore pages still.

In reverse order...

You're pulled from the Tradeskill lists after a certain number of days of inactivity IN THAT CRAFT. For example, if Pyyran were to not poisoncraft for a couple of months, I'd lose my spot as a level 7 poisoncrafter on that list. Same with his level 5 in Fishing. (I'm very proud of both of those, by the way. ;) )

Not sure why he doesn't have a LORE page...  I'm not sure what you mean. If you mean you can't go to his page (Should be http://nwn.layonara.com/Kurgaz%20Ulfson ), then it's a problem on your end, as I can see it fine. (Let's hear it for Dwarven Defenders!)

Writing professionally is HARD. If you can do it, please, gods, tell me how. *Chuckles.* I'm a total failure.

And lastly...

WELCOME BACK!!! :) Dwarves are fun.

Welcome back! Where could I find a copy of your work? I'd be willing to pay. I'm a reader who needs something new to read.

The Tradeskills stats page only shows those characters who have been active within the last 90 days. No crafting levels have been lost.
  Oh, and welcome back!  :)

Welcome back Feniox!

I certainly remember you and Kurgaz :)

You couldn't have picked a better time too, since the dwarven activity is pretty much at it's peak right now.

Can't wait to see you IG.

Welcome back. You should show on LORE once it updates, no worries.

That's fine. I can view the page, but couldn't find his name in the PCs listings, and was worrying that it might affect people sending me falcons and the like. It all seems to be fine though, so there's no crisis.

Nothing is public yet. I'll be sending out my novel manuscript in February, and short stories shortly after that. When something becomes available, I will be sure to shamelessly plug in your direction ;) It's horror fiction though: not everyone's cup of tea.

To everyone else: thanks for the replies. I will look forward to seeing you all in game again soon.
