Scary sounding GM quest's

Anyone else scared to sign up for these Januray GM Quests?

I don't know about you....but Escape and Capture and Whatever is and What should Never be are scaring the hell's outta me. Im signing up because they sound cool.....but they're scaring the heck outta me since my Char aint no hero.

So....I have a question.
On a GM Quest, if you die the three times....do you still loose the XP?
Or is that reimbursed since you may not have been charging ahead into the fray like a raving looney when you died, and may have simpy fallen into an Icy crevasse....Shot by slaver's whilst cowering on a boat....or contracted a fatal plague whilst wandering casually about Hurm.

Just wondering.

I ain't complaining of course....just wondering if anyone else fears for their's PC's life.
( Which of course, if you do, don't sign up....*grins* )

If you die three times in your allotted time frame per your level, you do loose the exp, as well as the money if carried. It is not reimbursed. RP death is the same as a bashing death. *winks*

I can say, since I'm running the What is and What Should Never Be series, that I put up descriptions like that not so much to make you fear for your life, but to make sure you know what you may be getting into.  There was no level minimum set so those lover level PC's may find repeated death.  Or on the flipside, you may go and find any encounter I make to be very easy.  Either way, I wanted to make sure any who may want to attend know the possible risks up front.

Bad things can and do happen to good characters regardless of level however, and this is true for any GM quest.  I found it best to just seem scary up front instead of leaving somebody with the possibility of sore feelings afterwards thinking they were mislead into something quite beyond what they'd normally attempt.

See, for me, it just sounds like a whole barrel of fun. I would be worried if I saw a quest titled "Walking in the woods, Petting the Bunnies" or ""Trip to Grandma's" If I sign up for a quest that says "Warning, danger of being eaten by ravenous pixies", I am not disappointed when I see my toon at negative 190 HP.
Then again, I want to see the *REALLY* creepy stuff that our benevolent and totally sane GM team think about.

Hehehe... "Trip To Grandma's"... That's definitely a sign for "WATCH OUT!". :P

The first quest I ran here, at one point I had the party so jumpy they were all distrusting each other.  I suppose though that's the kind of fun you can have when the antagonist is a shape-shifting demoness.  :)
Oh and the name:  The Cage

Let's see.... some of mine.

Mooo, No More?
Lost&Found 1-7 (Hmm, maybe I should do some whispers on the wind again "The wicked... the insidious... Excavators". That'd freak some people out still! You know who you are!)
Something Stirs... I-VII
Plays of Power
Triangle of Eyes

All nice titles, nothing ominous about it... Right? :)
