Champion of Toran PrC

I would like to have a character progress from Paladin to Champion of Toran.  I looked at the requirements to take the prestige class and it is listed as one of the complex classes requiring updated bio and multiple CDQs.  I read a post by EdTheKet about the nuances of the Champion Prc.  I want to make sure that I RP in the right direction so that when I get to somewhere between 7th and 10th level I will meet the requirements and can have the CDQs done to take the levels as Champion of it gets approved.  What I am asking for is some guidance with respect to what is expected for someone seeking this PrC.  

Should I start the CDQs right away since it requires multiple CDQs prior to 10th level?  

What character qualities would need to be evidenced in the development thread (I think the post by Ed mostly covered this but I would be interested in anyone's opinion)?  

Is there anything else I should be sure to get done prior to 10th level besides RP'ing, the development thread, and the CDQs (like should she contact anyone in particular in the church to make her intentions known)?

I want to make sure that I cover all the bases so when the time comes I won't be stuck waiting because I didn't know what all was involved.   Thanks for the help.

Hopefully soon, an updated Pantheon will be released, including a bit more information on the Champions. I suggest you wait for that.

I would say days or weeks, certainly not months...  Just my guess!

The Pantheon should be released pretty soon....I would guess within a few weeks, but I'm not the final authority there.

Any chance this will finally allow PCs to play champions of corath and prytechon?

I don't think so, unless the alignment changes for them. They are set to CE for both Prytechon and Corath

 I know he is correct about the current alignment, but I was hoping (I know it has been discussed before) that the alignment requirements were being looked at and moved to LE, rather than CE. Following a lot of other fantasy settings, evil paladins, or death knights, were often LE. Just look at Dragon Lance and the Knights of Solmania that broke off and followed Takisis (they were LE). So I was just wondering and hoping that the move from CE to LE was being considered.

Well, unholy (or holy) champions should have the exact same alignment as their deities, else they can't really be a champion. As we only have the class for Corath and Pyrtechon, who are both CE, the unholy champs of Corath and Pyrtechon will then be CE, not LE.
