Character description

I've just started playing and I've noticed that when I "examine" other characters, they have many quite interesting and cool descriptions.

I'm not sure what my description is, how to look it up while I'm playing, or how to change it?

Any help would be most welcome.

If you didn't change it when you created your character you will have the generic description depending on your basic race (Dwarf/elf/human etc).

I'm not sure, but I don't think it's possivle to change it once you've started playing. I seem to remember somebody asked the same question a while ago.

To see your own character's description, set examine to one of the thirty-six hotkeys, and examine your character.

To change the character description after creation, you have to use a 3rd party program like LETO and directly edit the character file outside the game.

Now, the tricky thing here is that only a few DMs have the access to those files so you would have to post a request in the dispute forum. Remember that this takes some effort (read: time) for those people, so it's generally only recommended to ask for a description change if you have an IC-reason for that.
