*Peanut takes out the Big Book and begins to write*
Hlint is nice. Although I have met only a few others here I think this will be a nice place to stay for awhile. I need to reserve some of the little coin in my pocket and find some odd jobs to put meat on my bones.
The other day as I was out exploring Hlint I found myself in front of the Weapons vendor and laying there in the display window was the greatest weapon ever! I just had to get a closer look at it. So I tighten my belt, rolled up my sleeves, stood up straight and walked right in to speak with the weapon vendor. At the counter, with a clear firm voice I said very plainly that I would like to see the copper weapon in the window please. The vendor looked down at me with eyebrows raised and a smirk on his face and said that I could get a sling shot at the other side of the building. Well there was no backing down and I asked to see it a second time and put my coin pouch on the counter with a loud ching. I didn't have to set the coins down that loudly considering there wasn't much in it but I just had to make a point.
As the vendor began to laugh he reached with one hand and brought the weapon out of the window and set it on the counter. He then proceeded to tell me that he had a small collection of daggers that I might be interested in. Not interested I told him, I'll take this one here. This thing here is a Scimitar he told me...you'll never be able to carry it. (Boy, he didn't know me and how strong I am!) *giggles as she writes* I looked him in the eye and told him my money was as good as anyone elses and to name his price. I settled with him the price and put my pouch away. I braced my legs and reached with both hands for the scimitar and with the grace of the best future weapons master I slid it down off the counter and let the blade rest on my right shoulder. Looking at the vendor with a brightness in my eyes I sauntered out the door. I could swear I heard bits of laughter as the door swung closed from the vendor. I didn't care, I had the best weapon ever perched on my shoulder and it was then and there ,on my way home, I made a vow to myself to become one with this wonderful weapon.

*Peanut takes out her big Book and begins to write*
Hlint needs Peanut! Good thing I came when I did. It seems that there is always someone who needs a helping hand and I’m just the one to give it. I’ve met a few more people in and around Hlint such as Mylindra, Erik, Clarissa and a couple more who I don’t remember the names of.
I have gotten quite good at using my scimitar that I decided to use the gold from my odd jobs to upgrade to an iron one. I didn’t want to go back to the weapons vendor in Hlint because he laughed at me. So I put a note up in the Trade and Market hall. Mylindra was the first one to offer me a great deal. Right away I knew I had met another friend. I bought her iron scimitar and we chatted for a few minutes. She didn’t want to brag but I could tell she was a very powerful Cleric. I took the scimitar that I bought from her and did a practice swing and low and behold it began to glow! It was sooooo pretty. I looked up at Mylindra to see if she saw it too. She just smiled and said that little extra was a gift. Yep, Mylindra is my new friend! I’ll do what I can to help her just like she was helping me. Just imagine how strong I am now. I rest that iron scimitar on my right shoulder all the time. Others don’t know it but that’s the trick, letting it rest on my right shoulder. Those badies better watch out for Peanut!
I met another new friend too. His name is Mr. Erik. He’s not lonely anymore. Peanut fixed him right up! By the end of the day we had gotten us an adventuring party together and set off to do some exploring. Erik is a really good fighter…to bad he doesn’t have a scimitar like me. He took us to all kinds of places and we had a really good time. I could tell that Mr. Erik wasn’t lonely anymore, good thing Peanut came along.

*begins to write*
It has been a fine day. Saw Mr. Eric again the other day....he had a smile on his face. We bashed some badies for awhile.
*giggles* When I'm not running errands, I visit the Hlint crypts to show off my sword. I always give them a fair warning before I come down but they never listen. They seem to believe that my small size will let them prevail, but they don't know Peanut very well.
I cought 4 fish today! Yipee!!! I cooked them and they were really good. Hopfully I can find some fishing holes and eventually become a great cook too.
I need to meet Lillian, who I heard is a great weapons master! She is about my size and from what I have been told looks a lot like me. I wonder if she would be interested in apprenticing me. I will have to track her down and ask her.

*takes the big book off the shelf with excitement and quickly records the events of the day so as not to forget them ever*
I met up with Clarissa and her friend Lexor today. I convinced them to help me get some ashes for a little girl in Krandor from the crypts. Unfortunately things did not go as well as I had hoped. We all died. After Clarissa and I took a trip to the bind stones we decided we would go back in to rescue Lexor. Clarissa got word to her friends Erik and Krysthalien. With their help we were able to get back to his body and have Erik raise him. I felt horrible for what happened to Lexor. I was mad and wanted to take revenge but knew that I would have no hope alone. I am learning more and more stuff about myself and I am glad that Clarissa's friends were able to help. The good thing was that with their help we did end up getting the ashes for Nikki and they are now safe in her hands again.

These are the mushrooms I need to collect for Miss Lilly! I met her! She is the most wonderful fighter I have ever seen. On the way to Hlint I saw a battle going on in Zainge River area. Ogres were falling by the dozens...and Peanut does not exagerate. I thought there must be an army of soldiers to take down that many...but it was a halfling girl....all by herself.
She took them all out and with a scimitar. It took me awhile to collect my nerve so that I could go up and introduce myself. I think she was just as amazed at meeting me as I was her. Miss Lilly asked if we could talk so she could find out more about me. I was so nervous and excited at the same time. I couldn't believe I was standing before the very halfling that everyone has been telling me about. So immediataly I said yes! It was so amazing how I was able to relax with her...I even confided with her about my lack of confidence in my abilites. She didn't even laugh at me....
After a lengthy discussion she said that if I was willing to accept her task and pass it as well she would apprentice me! The joy in my heart was so much. I gladly accepted....so that brings me to MUSHROOMS. I have to gather 1 of every kind with my own hand and return them to her. *giggles* I can't wait! Peanut will be strong! One thing she said to me was that I needed to control my strength and use it properly. We'll see. I hope to make a worthy pupil for Miss Lillian.

Life is good! I found the purple mushrooms today. They were a little more difficult jto get to. Griffons are bad birds! Miss Lilly will be so proud of Peanut...two kinds of mushrooms already.
I updated my armor today to Copper full plate leaving my purse light once again. One of these days i'll be as strong as Lillian and a great fighter just like her and then I will be able to collect more coins.
Peanut caught a Bass today! I cooked it right away too. Oh it was so good that I think I will do some more fishing later this evening and have some for supper.

Peanut is so excited! All is going wonderful. The past couple of days have been filled with meeting new friends and helping others. First of all Mylindra was able to put light on my new copper full plate. I don't know what I would be able to do if it wasn't for her looking out for me. The crypts and caves aren't so dark now. Thank you Mylindra!
The next best thing that happened was or the BESTEST thing ever as far as Peanut can think of right now is........she has ALL the mushrooms! *lays them out across the floor in a straight line. Red, yellow, black, spotted and purple* *giggles with glee as she writes* I can't wait to give them to Miss Lilly! After asking all over where I could find the last two I came upon two small people just like Peanut. Their names are Jennarra and Canius. They knew where I could find the spotted and red ones but told me that I would not be wise to search for them by myself and offered to escort me to get them. After telling them that it was very important that I pick them with my own hand we started off on our adventure. Canius was able to make us unseen for some of our trip and Peanut got to see just how dangerous the trek by herself would have ended very badly. I even got to wave at the griffons at Fort Hope! They sure are mean but Peanut is going to make friends with one....it'll take time but I'll start by leaving bits of food for them so they can start warming up to me. Anyways our trip took us to the town of Shoufal and Storan's Crypt. Never, Never, Never would I have made it by myself. I can see that becoming a weapons master takes more than just strength and skill with a special weapon (looks at her beloved scimitar) it takes wisdom and good councel from others to know how to make good decisions. Thank you for helping me with my task Jennarra and Canius.
Another thing that was good, but not as good as getting mushrooms, but good still, was ....I taught someone else how to make a fire and cook fish. I was afraid that he would get sick eating it all raw. Sometimes meat goes bad. But I taught him...it felt real good to help someone out.
Fishing is going great! I caught some trout and a throwing ax! *giggles*
*leaves the book on the floor and picks up her mushrooms one by one with a smile on her face*

*hugs her big book with glee*
I found Miss Lillian today and she took me on as her apprentice! Nothing could make Peanut happier right now. All things will go by the wayside now as I begin to focus on being the best student for her. Miss Lillian asked me about the mushrooms and I gave her vivid details on how I got them. Now I need to set myself aside and devote all things into becoming the greatest weapons master ever to weild a scimitar (except for Miss Lilly). She gave me another task that will be in making a copper dagger. I must dig clay and mine ore with my own two hands. I have already started with the clay and have made a few attempts to mine the copper. Oh my gosh ....life is good! *she wishes she could write as fast as she thinks*
I got to do some adventuring with Lex'or and Clarissa. We had a good time at the beginning but towards the end Clarissa had a confrontation with Muiriann (I think that is her name). Lex'or tried real hard to smooth things over between the two of them but I am not so sure it worked. I think Lex is good for Clarissa, she needs some balance in her life. The two of them work well together.

*lies on the floor and writes*
My shoulders hurt something fierce right now! Clay and more clay to turn into molds and copper and more copper to smelt. But it was all worth it....I made my first dagger for Miss Lillian! I can't wait to give it to her. She will be so pleased. Peanut sure thinks alot about Miss Lillian...wondering if she will live up to her standards. Whenever I am with her I feel as though I am in a trance. She captures my attention completely.
After a few hours of work I decided to go to the grey Peaks by myself. Oh my gosh! The Ogres there were huge..but *giggles* Peanut gave them a quick one-two. They were out cold. I didn't want to press my luck so I headed back to Hlint before sunset and did some fishing behind the bank. I caught a mangeled piece of copper and 3 fish. Hehehe....
Well I better get to bed early so I can work on my training tomorrow. I hope I see Miss Lilly again soon!

Where is Miss Lilly? I can't find her. I have the dagger she asked me to make and have spent the last couple of day digging clay and mining ore. It seems the hard work is paying off! My arms are getting some nice muscles and I like that.
Ran into Canius today in Hlint. He was on his way to a place called Dregar. Maybe one of these days he can let me tag along. It would be nice! I can show him what I have been learning from Miss Lilly and maybe we can go fishing together sometime.

My skill is increasing! Today I made a Bronze dagger and I put it in my bag to show Miss Lilly. Now I have two to give her. Canius took Peanut out on a Patrol the other day. We had so much fun. Ogres were out and about so we spent some time ridding the land of them as much as possible. Eventually we ran into Clarissa and I asked Canius is she could come along and he let her. He was such a great leader! We fought scorpians and these kobald looking things that rode spiders and big dogs. I thought to myself "if they can ride spiders and dogs why can't Peanut rider herself a Griffon"? So whenever I find the time and have a little left over from supper I take it to the Griffons. I've left some fish and deer meat for them but still they attack me. Peanut forgives them though...they don't know any better and one day they will come to know that Peanut is their friend. And just maybe, maybe I can get close enough to pet one.
Now, If I can find Miss Lilly. I hope she is well. I can't wait to see her!

*pulls out her big book and begins to write*
Saw Miss Lilly in Hlint the other day. I was so excited to see her and to give her the copper dagger I made. You see, that was the task she gave me to do…was to make a copper dagger with my own hands and return the finished product to her. Well Peanut worked so hard that she was actually able to make a bronze one too. *giggles* I bet that surprised Miss Lilly! I’ll show her just how dedicated I am at being her apprentice. While I was showing Miss Lilly my daggers this other FELLOW told me my name was ODD. “Peanut, what an ODD name” he said laughing. No one makes fun of Peanuts name. I turned around just as quick as you please to show him what Peanut was all about but Miss Lilly restrained me with her commanding yet gentle voice. Oh my gosh! If Miss Lilly hadn’t been there I don’t what I would have done to him. She saved his life she did…or at least some kind of serious injury. Once I was seated on the bench in Hlint ..Glaring at the fellow across the way, Miss Lilly said she was going to go into the smithy to test the craftsmanship of the daggers. That was ok with me...but I had to sit there with that FELLOW across the way. I gave him the evil eye! My friend Drexia came up while I was sitting there and she saw the commotion going on between me and the FELLOW and said she would go talk to him for me. Drexia is one of Peanuts very good friends. Well in the end Drexia and I ended up going to food donation center for the orphans and such. I was so caught up in what was going on that I forgot that Miss Lilly was in the smithy. I still hope to see her again and find out how she liked my daggers.
I met a whole bunch of adventures too. Some of the ones I remember are Kyris…..something or another, Steel (talked with his hands), Shiff (giggles) TREE,
And Miss Clarissa. There were some more there and they was all nice to Peanut but I forget their names. As we were preparing to go mine some one put tree skin on all of us and I thought we all looked like trees. Mr. Shiff said I was a bush! Oh my he was like a rock in my boot from then on. By the end of the trip I get him to admit I was a tree like everyone else and not a bush. He said I was a oak sapling. That was a start! Through all of our fussing I found out that he wanted to master his weapon. It was then I had to tell him about Miss Lilly! The greatest weapons Master of the Scimitar of all time. I told him I would mention his name to Miss Lilly and see if she was interested in taking on another apprentice. But one thing for sure…Peanut has first dibs!

Miss Lilly said my daggars were brittle. Soooo I have to make them all over again. AND this time I have to make an iron one too! Maybe with more practice I'll get better. I don't want to let her down.
Peanut got to go on a taining mission with her. *giggles as she remembers* The first thing we worked on was my stance. We practiced over and over. Once I would get into position she would try and push me over and every time I wobbeled. But Peanut never fell. *smiles* We also worked on picking the best place to position ourselves to engage an enemy. Such as using cliffs, rocks, narrow passage ways and even bodies of water. She is very wise. One day I will come to treat my scimitar as an extension of my arm ,that I will not have to think about how to use it. Peanut and the scimitar will become one.
I am so blesses to have Miss Lilly training me ...One day I will be like her.

*takes out her quill and writes*
I can definitely tell how well I am becoming one with my scimitar. Just the other day as I was fighting giants and I realized what little effort it took to pull out my weapon. It's almost graceful and most definitely natural the way I handle it now. Miss Lilly has taught me much more than she realizes I think. All the mining ore and swinging the pick axe has given me the opportunity to practice my stance, aim, and other key movements. Three iron daggers I have made so far. That was the last task Miss Lilly gave me before she went away. I've heard that she is back and I am anxious to talk to her once again. During the rain the other day I thought it would be a good idea to dig some clay while the ground was wet. I headed out to East of Hlint where the dirt is just right for digging. While I was out there I saw Miss Katrien. She was setting up camp and looking for some meat. I could tell by the look on her face that she was not looking forward to the deed of killing the deer that happened to wander out of the forest nearby. Peanut offered to do it for her but she said it was something she needed to do for herself. They were just skin and bone though, hardly enough meat to last very long. As I dug my clay and she prepared her campfire we had a pleasant chat. I told her about my love of griffons and how I had been feeding them. She seemed amused at this. She asked if I was going to be a griffon rider. I never knew there was such a thing. I told her I wanted one as a pet and she laughed. She did tell me I should seek out another halfling by the name of Triba and that she might be able to give me some tips and history about the griffons. I sure want one bad like. Just the right size for old Peanut. I've met so many friends lately, it's hard to keep track of them all. I miss Drexia and don't see her around as much these days. And Shiff, boy is he a handful. I tell ya. He has to get a handle on this drinking thing and not being able to get any sleep. If not, Peanut's gonna have to konk him on the head just so he can get some rest. I am sure that'll do it. He'll be snoozng away.
*yawns and looks at the scraps left over from supper and the old fish heads*
Time to head out to feed the griffons again. I wish one of them would take a liking to me.

*heaves out the the big book and goes to sit by the fireplace to write*
Well Lordy Lordy, so much to write I have. Miss Lilly seems to be gone more aften for longer periods of time...sure wish she could take me along with her some time. Must be great adventuring to be had wherever she takes off too. One day it will be Peanut's turn ..yes sir! Me thinks she would be happy how one I am with my scimitar. *smiles as she remembers her teachings*
But the most specialest thing to happen next to knowing Miss Lilly is Knowing Beasty! *a smile creeps on her face as whe writes his name* We have been spending lots and lots of time together and most would think we are together and I guess they would be right. *giggles* Beasty met me at Dalanther (what a lucky day for him) while forming a adventuring party to the Great Rift.
He didn't know it but Peanut was watching his every move. There is a wild, untamable, passionate behavior about him. He is so strong and his hair...oh my gosh...is glorious! I try to spend all the time I can with him to watch and learn and just to breathe the same air as he. We have gotten close enough to share our things with each other and and every once in a while he surprises Peanut with a pie! He sure knows how to get to my heart. We've had long talks and I've shared my inner most secrets with him. Even my desire to have my very own griffon one of these days. He says he would like to have a Giant Beattle one day. Could you imagine *giggles* here comes Beasty on his Beattle and Peanut on her Griffon. Saving the day! That a day that would be. I'm still trying to find someone who can speak to a Griffon to let them know Peanut is their friend and I still try and feed them. I think they are starting expect it now cause I see lots of tracks and the ground is sorta worn away at the feeding spot. There is a often a small feather and droppings to show that they are coming.
Drexia my goodest friend in the whole wide world has gotten much quicker and stronger with her hands and feet. I am so glad we are friends...we work really well together and she made me a Lion bag with Peanuts name stitched into it. That was the sweetest thing. Oh and Beasty made Peanut one too and I asked Drexia to stich Peanut loves Beasty on it...what a pretty job she did with that one too. Yes indeed, Peanut is very content. Peanut feels love for the first time in her life. Strong for the first time in her life. Needed for the first time in her life. I can do it , I can do it, I can do it!
*as she looks at her carved wooden griffon sitting on the mantle that Jacchri gave her she smiles and draws a griffon on the bottom of the page and writes "Peanut loves Beasty" and doodles with hearts and flowers to cover the rest of the page*
*she closes the book and puts it away to go find Beasty and possible Drexia*

Things to Do list
1. Don't go by myself anywheres
2. Talk to Miss Acacea
3. Destroy the key
4. Find a way to destroy the you know what!
5. Visit the Spirit Dunes
6. Feed the Griffons and Starla *giggles*
7. Talk to Zup about his sneaking...(being small not so bad ?)
8. Fish more...Beasty eats alot!
9. Learn how to cook.....Pea eats alot too!
*scribbles some ideas at the bottom*
Don't always rush Peanut! Get in a corner wait for Beasty to attack first and then go in just when they least expect it and BAM! take em' down. Being small ain't so bad..no way! Pea can gets into lots of places that tall folk can't go. Maybe Zup can teach Peanut a thing or two...he is mighty good at being sneaky..of course Pea pretty good a sneaking out to the griffons to feed them too. *laughs*

Well gosh darn it....I had to plant a lilly today in honor of the poor griffon Pea had to put to rest. It was a shame for sure. He or she, i couldn't tell which, musta been waiting for those fish heads because as soon as I got as close as I could, BAM! it came right for me. I sure wish one would start liking Peanut. I've been feeding them now for a couple of years and they still don't know me. Sometimes coming out here at night to watch them is so peaceful like. I know one thing for sure...I need to keep working on my sneaking lessons from Zup...I hopes to get close enough one day to touch one and feel it's breath on me hand and face. What a day that will be ...if it don't eat Peanut. Cause I won't get to pet anymore after that.
Went to visit the workers in the Spirit Dunes. Sure was mighty hot. It took Pea awhile to find the head worker but I's did and told him to let Pea know if she can help with the excavating. He looked like he didn't trust me too much and for sure was a little curious as to I was. Told him I gots two good hands and fist full of shovels and to look Pea up or send word to her if she can help with anything.
So far so good. Ain't been no slavers after Peanut. We sure put a hurtin on them last time they tried to take Peanut. Still need to be careful when I's out by myself.
Where is my good old friend Drexia...sure do miss her lots. I think she givin Beasty and me some alone time..and that is mighty sweet. But she knows she welcome with us anytime. She like part of the family she is.
Beasty Beasty Beasty....I can't say it enough. Pea needs to go see if she can find him out on trails and see if Zup is with him. It be time for some more lessons.

*digging her way through the mountains of blankets and pillows she catches a glimmer of morning sun peeking through the folds of the covers. Looking around and rubbing her eyes she see's and feels that she has a few scrapes and bruises. There are soup bowls, water jugs and discarded bandages laying around; blueberries lay on the floor as if waiting to be plucked up and tasted. Sitting up she see's a fresh Lilly flower and note that has been left on the stand next to the bed. Smiling she reads the note written in rough handwriting noticing right away that it was from Beasty.
Peanut My Angel,
Don't ya git out alone. Be wif someones alls the time. I's out lookin for em' withs a few frins. Gonna kills the bassards. They's ain't gettin my Peanut! We's need to gets you some more sneakin lessons. Be's safe my angel.
Beasty
Folding the note she lays back in bed and lets the sea of blankets and pillows swallow her once again.*

Those bugbears didn't know Pea was there *giggles* I walked right by them and made a quick chopping move right in front of them. They didn't even see it. Now if I's can gets a little closer to those Griffons. I think it saw me so I have work to do. I watched it from a distance and oh is it special. Pea could of layed there all evening long..but the rain started makeing me look all puckered so I headed home for the night.
I kepts a good eye out and tried to stay in the shadows running from tree to tree to keep hidden from the slavers. They going to get a big peice of Peanut one of these days that's for sure. I just gotta out think em! Need to stay one step ahead..well maybe like three or four will be better for now. But I tell ya what they gonna wish they're momma had spanked they're bottoms by the time Peanut get done with em for sure.
I mets with Miss Acacea a short while back she gonna introduce Pea to Miss Triba. I think they might just be able to help Peanut. Miss Acacea says griffons are selective of who they let arounds them. It be almost like a calling I suppose. One day I hope to be able to talk to them to show they can trust Peanut, oh yes I do. I done set it in my mind that that's what I'm going to do.
*note to Peanuts brain*
Talk to Griffon Carver man....he just might be able to help.
Do some more fishing..
Try sneaking on some more creatures in the woods
Oh and am I glad Festus is better! Aloe and ginger sure did the trick to stop the runs..yes it did. He back to his old self that for sure...a little on the skinny side but he'll pull through.

Word sure travels fast when ya wanten something bad enough. Of course it helps to have a big mouth like mine to spread the word. Peoples got to find out one ways or another. And Pea's the one to do it..yes'sir! Now rumor was that these here ranger fellas know alot about sneaking and huntin and scouting in the woods. So's I took it upon myself to go and see if it be true. One of them, I declare, if Peanut didn't already know! Imagine that. That be Mr. Jacchri. Peanuts wood carver. He sure was holding back on Peanut that was for sure. I needs to talk to him more it seems. I wonder where he hides out. *puts the tip of her quill in her mouth and chews and thinks while drool and slobber ever so slowly makes it's way to her chin*This other fella I heards is a lots harder to find. His name be Mr. Rodlin. Well low and behold did the stars shine down on Peanut ( cause it was night time). Me was on my way out of Dalanthar, praciticing my sneaking skills next to the forest edge when I heard something. (Now of course Pea hears all kinds of things and most times it's her stomach aching for pie or such.) I thought for sure those slavers had seen me again..and I was trying to be so quite and stick to the shadows tooo. But it weren't them at all. It was this elf ranger Mr.
Rodlin. Seems he heard I was looking for some training on scouting and learning more about speaking to animals. I don't think he thought that Peanut thought that she knew what she was really getting into. He sorta was asking me all these questions. Trying to trip Peanut or see if she sure about this goal of hers. He wanted to get right to the heart of the matter. He asked some tough ones too...Likes what does a ranger mean to Peanut? How does a ranger use the forest for his/her livelihood? How does a ranger hide? I think the funniest thing was being able to mask our scent. Now Pea she can camouflage herself, blend into the trees to hide but masking her scent now...*laughs* Peanut always smells like Peanut. She will need some help on that one. For sure! *pays no attention to the blue slobber that has dripped from her chin to the pages of the Big book she is writing in*So's I'm thinking Pea needs to work in Hunting, traping, sneaking, camouflageing herself, *thinks of those nasty slavers*and stealth. That will help Peanut with one day meeting up with her beloved griffons. Anyways, I guess Peanut was giving all the right answer's because he finally said I'll help Peanut. I was like what? I didn't know I was being interviewed. He said he needed to hear this stuff from Peanuts own mouth and not from some rumors. Pea liked that about him. Boy does he have his hands full now...*grins and wipes blue slobber across her face with the sleave of her shirt* he just don't know it yet.
*Looks at the door as Beasty comes in and smiles* "What in the world you's been eatin there's Peanut?" he said. "Nothin", I said as I put the quill down wet and cracked from chewing on it.
