From neutral to lucinda as deity
« on: January 19, 2007, 03:19:37 AM »
I know a few things about changing to a deity. Following it and all. but to be aproved for changing from neutral do lucinda would my character need to have a mentor to guide her or not.

Let me know so I can go on with things.

Deity changes are usually no big deal , And they usually require about a week to two weeks of good rp and a well developed CDT. Mentors or nice but you wouldnt need one to change into a Lucindite. If you're looking to become an affirmed mage OF Lucinda I think that's a different story and that's where mentors and Affirmation and all that stuff comes in.

However keep in mind before you change deities that the GM team isn't especially fond of one changing their Deity feild ten million times. one can respect a deity without officially following (Like Rhynn, who doesn't fit one deity and has gone through two changes already).  However, I've seen Sonya's rp and Lucinda would be good for her. You're on the right path to it.

Rhynn is correct on the difference between the privately venerating but unacknowledged deity switch and the Affirmation into the faith. Those seeking to become Affirmed mages are sponsored by those in the clergy or Tower that are qualified to train others and presented at the Rites to the Warder along with all the other candidates, and the deity switch happens at that time.

Those can happen in game when there looks to be at least a handful of people around seeking Affirmation, or a few needing promotions and such. Since that isn't very often, the in-game Rites are few and far between. ;)
