Yeah... So I've heard, over and over again, about how juniper berries are CNR's biggest mistake, as they're poisonous, and such and such.

As I've eaten jelly made from juniper berries, I've always wondered. So... Here you go.

eh, so people use em as spices, people eat sugars that are ntohing but harmful to your teeth, smoke cigarettes that do nothing but hurt your teeth, throat, and lungs, not to mentiont he heart as well. Tons of thigns people consume that are bad for them =P

Some mammals' systems deal with toxins differently than others. Take chocolate for example, not toxic to humans (though eating massive doses isn't perzackly good for you) but give a small dose to a dog and it's dead.

Depending on the size and weight of the dog, the animal would have to eat somewhere from under one pound to about six pounds (or more).

Stephen is most certainly right; juniper berries have been used historically as both a food and in herbal remedies (especially for heart problems and some kidney/excretion issues), and are still used today. However (for the hardcore RPers), your character shouldn't eat the berries when pregnant. The berries were once used to bring on menstruation and induce labor, and are still thought to pose some risk to women during pregnancy.

Funny .... I thought the biggest mistake in the crafting system was that "malting" not only required skill .... but also happened instantly.
