It sure is. Indeed, how can mere mortals such as we are understand the ways of the gods?
You've noticed something that many people smarter and more knowledgeable than me could expound upon at length. An excellent topic to be discussed in game with the right characters.
But since this is not a bug, I'll be moving it to the Fixed Bugs forum.
