    Malleck the Quick-THought's- stories-events
    « on: February 14, 2007, 12:19:50 PM »
I arrived in Hilnt one week ago this morning, and I would hardly recognize my self. I’ve learned so much more in this short week then in the years of training leading up too this. My teacher was right there’s no training like a real fight where your life is on the line.

My first expedition was alone into the sewers I thought to my self “how tough can rats be”. Well I learned that answer very tough when there 4 or 5 of them nipping at your heels. That little for I did not last long. As I walking threw town half dead a kind cleric took petty on my and healed my wounds.

I don’t recall his name however he was a short fellow. He had recently been hired by the undertaker to retrieve something from eh crypts and asked me if I would like to earn a few true. I said yes very quickly. Our companion was another man who called him self a “hire blade” I assumed that meant he was a mercenary. It was out fourth companion that intrigued me the most. A haughty Elven man who specialized in the arcane. The was rather rude however he was indeed powerful. His spells racked havoc among the undead. There was one that could only be described as a fire storm that seemed to work the best.

I greatly honed my skills with the long sword in the hours we spent in that crypt. Now it’s almost hard to use any other weapon in battle than my two long swords. They feel more like extensions of my body than weapons. I emerged from that crypt a new man a “battle handed man “if you will. However I learned that groups are not always fair. It seemed the short cleric keep the vast majority of the true for him self. Since I learned so much it was not that big a problem. However I will be much more careful in the future.

I wandered around for a few days till I meet another young warrior who also needed the head of the red light Goblin leader for a dwarf’s caravan driver. We agreed to hunt the goblins together for I needed 5 goblin ears for the local captain of the guard. I personally have nothing against the goblins they have there place in the world too. However I needed better armor if I was too survive long and I was hungry so today was there day to die and not mine. A seasoned adventure named “hawken: or some thing similar said we would surly die with out a more seasoned helper with us. I just wanted to get paid so I cared little who did or did not join us.

This Hawken was an amazing warrior seemingly to wield a sword and the arcane word and cast spells as well as he fought with the blade. The goblins were much more changling that the undead of the crypt’s. I greatly enjoyed the effectiveness of the blades on the living. It was a hard battle in those caves I noticed a great abundance of Salt and copper in there which I’ll have to remember for a later time. I simply took great joy is sending these creatures into the realm of my lord Corath. Stalking and killing these creatures brought me joy and pleasure I never felt on the farm tilling the dreaded soil for a meager living.

After my foray into the goblin controlled lands to the west, I meet a woman in town named Ferrit. She called her self a peddler I found out that her husband was a great smith and I was soon looking threw his wares. He offered to extend me credit so I ended up purchasing a very fine ser of Copper half plate and a second Long sword. He had a fine iron long sword however when I grasped it I felt I still had a thing or two to learn before I could properly wield that weapon.

After acquiring my newly found arms and armor I decided to teach those rats a lesson and seek out this “rat-man” for the tax collector. With my newly honed skills and equipment I made very short work of the rats this time as well as this rat man.

In one short week on the road seeking my fortune I’ve had more true flow threw my hands that I’ve seen in my life time. I think I’m going to like this. I can see my powers and skills growing almost daily soon all who stand before me shall surely regret there choice.

      Full Name: Malleck the quick
      Age:18
      Class(es): Fighter ( 10) cleric (10 )
      Race: Human
      Sub race:
Alignment: TN (eventually plan on becoming NE or LE )
      Deity: Corath
Domains (if cleric): when cleric Death/chaos

      Biography and Description:

Malleck grew up in a small farming village on the out skirts of Hlint, he never really fit in there. As a young man Malleck always wanted more than the life of a poor and in his mind weak farmer. Every once in a while bandit’s or brigands would extract “taxes” from the farmers. Malleck never understood why the farmers did not just fight back. After awhile he grew too understand that the farmers the bandit’s and everyone eels in the world served a kind of place in the game of life.

At age 10 when the kings soldiers caught up too a small band of bandits that had recently collect there “ taxes “ young malleck hid in a near by corpse of trees and watched the although brutal very short battle. Some thing in him took great joy in the pain inflicted by the king’s men. The blood and gore brought a smile to his rather humble face. Long after the dust settled and the kinds men collect there bought malleck picked over the dead like a small vulture. He found a strange black bound book with writing in what appeared to be blood. Although it was simply a book carried by a devoted follow of a strange and some would say dark god. Too malleck it made sense of all his feelings and desires. He knew he was always different than those around him so he keeps his secret hidden well.

He decided at a young age he would never be weak and his place in the world was the top, he would get there by what ever means were necessary. He often fought and wrestled with the other farm boys and always seemed to wink by what ever means he deemed nescarry. One day a traveling robed woman saw this and offered young Malleck a new choice in life, he took it. He gladly left his life of a simple farmer behind and traveled with the woman a short distance to a local hall of warrior's he began his training as a Fighter.

Our little malleck who is quite plan in every way, he would easily blend into a crowd seemed to excel in his training. At least the physical aspects he was a decanted trainer and learned the craft of a warrior well. However his mental/ spiritual training was lacking. He never seemed to truly pick up the teaching of the world and how one should act in it. Malleck is a clever one though and seemed too fool the vast majority of the trainers into believing that he was learning the spiritual lessons as well.

Malleck appearance is of a plan simple young man, although he does not look strong in the sense of a muscle bound thug. There is a certain aura perhaps confidence perhaps determation to service when your up close and personal with the simple young man you get the feeling that threes much more too this one that first glance would tell.

SO always feeling that he does not really belong Malleck teacher has suggested to Malleck too seek the road of life to learn his place in the world. Having lived in the area Malleck knew that only a short distance away is Hlint a place where some one with his skills could learn quite allot.

This the beginning of my second week in the hilnt area has proven as exciting as my first. I aquired my first Iron long sword. I have to admit it felt god to fine tune my skills too the point I feel comfortable wielding such a fine blade. I spent quite a few days/nights hunting in the crypts alone. The skele’s and zombies have a fair amount of ture on them. It does concern me on what or who has the ability to raise so many of them no matter how many I kill there always seems to be more. What a power to wield an undead army, your sorce of troops is endless. Every battle the win would onlt leave you with more fresh troops.

I meet a young cleric named Barbare who told me he can turn the skele bones into potions that would heal my wonds. Too think all this time I was selling them too the pawn broker for 1 ture each. I shale save them now and hopefully find a kind cleric to make me these potions.

I travled to haven and ventured into the mines there. I Died for the first time there, the pain of reseration is great I hope to never experience that again. The orges took half the ture’s I had one me I quess I should be greatfull that it was only half of them.

I travled to Leilon and got certified to creat simple objects I’ll have too put that too good use soon.

Today was my most exciting adventure yet, I joined a rather large party of fellow adventures I think I was the greenest of the bunch.  We first tackled the lizard people in the swamp. There good warriors and have a few majickers in the mist. The trees in that swamp east of hilnt are strange indeed. The swamp is hard going and I Tired fast in eh metal armor. The going was rough however the fine honing of my skills and the things I learned are unmessureable.

After that we decided to venture into the are infested caverns near haven. I meet Hawken again and he agreed to take us along for his mining venture. We agreed me could have all the ore I was after the ogre chieftains head for the lord of haven. IT was a hard battle in those depths and with out eh party I was with those foes were well beyond my skill. The hit quite hard it was too hard to get our of there way. I decided there and then this Metal armor was not for me. I could not properly use my skills with speed in that bulky and rather noisy armor.

The gore and blood for the long battle with the ogres proved to heighten my skills> I found my self reveling in the slaughter, there just something for the fever of battle and the taking of another life is exerliating, make some true in eh process is only a bonus. Although the ogre chief was no ware to be found I profited greatly for my little venture.

Once I got back in hilnt I bought a set of leather armor so I could move more easily and I must say I greatly enjoy the freedom it provides.  I had the armor colored red and black too honor Corath. The more I progress in skill at battle and the more bloodied bodies I leave in my wake the more I feel I serve my dark lord.

My collection of ears is progressing well I wish I could get ears of more than just eh red-light goblins. I head or two for my little collection box will serve me well also. I’ve salted my little collection or gore so it won’t smell.

I meet a friendly Orc warrior in hilnt today, he must be used too everyone being mean too him. I could care less weather he was an orc, a goblin an elf or a dwarf. It matters not too me one race or one beliefs so long as I can use them is some way to further my goals. Me did not seem too bright and I some how offended him and he quickly walked away.

The more I progress in my training the more I like this life. There’s just something about blood soaked armor that makes me spell better at night. I’ve amassed a small fortune in these few short months that I never could have imaged that day working the land for a meager living at best. I have decided I will never return too the life of a farmer. I will do anything to prevent that. No matter who or what stands in my way, I’ll kill them all if I must.  I would rather soak the land in blood then till that soil once more.

Tonight I traveled with a new friend VAX and a fine dwarf’s cleric. I like the dwarves there always up for a fight, and there gods seem too prefer battle. I can see havn dwarves close too I will be of great benefit in the future. There also fans of them skell bones I always find, I’ve found quite a number of clerics willing to purchase them or trade for Potions that heal my wounds.

I’ve made quite a nice amount of true gathering sand for the tinkerers as well and gaining a little skill my self making molds for the weapon makers. Soon I will be craftn the glass the enchanters want soo badly.  For now I will have too supplement my income with this work rather than battle.  It’s only tempary and soon I think I will learn the secrets of poison. The goblns seem to make good use of it on me when I hunt them. I shale have to find one with the skills of poison use and learn what I can from them.

I greatly enjoy my choice in the lighter armor of leather. I seem to dispatch my foes allot quicker being able to make full use of my Twin blades.  Soon I will have to find a good cloak I keep seeing others in.

Last night there was a rather strange looking woman playn with her majicks in town. She was sort of clear and hard too see weaving in and out o the shadows.  A few thought she was a spy at first. I thought is she was a spy she’s not a very good one if I saw her. She appeared too us as a Drow. Now not that I dislike the drow however hinlt is not the best place for those of there kind.  Actually I kind of like those drow powerful allies they could be, I would rather have them as allies then enemies that’s for sure.

It turned out she was not eleven at all, especially not a dark elf. She was a rather strange lookn human woman. Never seen one with skin and eyes like that one.  Latter in the gobln waste lands we meet another drow. He seemed friendly enough. I w2onder if those drow are up too something. Last time the invaded from eh crypts I spend allot o time down there I shale have too be more careful on my hunts down there.

I have gathered all the sand and clay I could stomach, I felt as if I had been doing this for months although it was only a day or so. I returned to the east side of hint to fire some molds and glass ingots for trade and tree’s.

I delivered 2 ½ boxes of small molds to Kyle the smith and a few ingots of copper and tin I picked up over the last week or so.  We agreed on a fair amount to credit towards some arms.

Later that day I meet up with ferrit and kyle in hint just out side the bank. A companion of mine Gillard was also there. I was admiring him hew Tower shield he also purchased from Kyle a fortnight prior.

We all went to the Fort where Ferrit and kyle have a house. Spent many an hour going threw there wares to find some new shinny items for the road. I got my self a nifty new set of Hide armor to better suite my fighting style. Also I got an amulet with the grace of a cat. Along with a Nice Cloak to help me stay hidden when I choose too. I also got a nice ring the emits an aura that deflects the occasional blow of an enemies weapon. I spotted a few other things however I fear I do not yet possess the skill to make full use of them.

Me and Gillard decided too take our new found items too the cave of kobolds too test them out. We spent quite a long time in them caves dispatching those lil buggers. It seems I would be better served too allow the armored warriors bear the brunt of battle. Although I’m quick on my feet it seems I still have a thing or too learn about group battles.  The more I progress the more I seem too enjoy the smell of blood-soaked leather wither it’s mine or the blood of a recently departed foe.

I dyed my new armor and cloak too the colors of Corath, the red and black just seem to fit perfectly. Soon the inhabitants of these lands will learn to fear the sight of a of these colors when spotted in battle. Soon all shale fear the name Malleck.
