*the journal is just your basic everyday bound leather book with some scribbles in it*
* the journal is written in dwarven and the handwriting is ok but the grammer isnt the greatest*
After that terrible day when every member of my clan, Clan Silveryaxe, was besides myself was killed, I wandered the lands of Milstone. I only stopped to rest when it was needed. I wasn't going to any place in particular, but just trying to get some distance between me and the destroyed moutain home of my youth. Yes, I am sadden for the loss of my kin, but I now know that Vorax blessed me that day, so that my life could be spent helping others and searching out and destroying the undead minions of Corath.

After a few days of travel I came across a small town by the name of Hlint. Being new to this town i went searching for a friendly soul, someone that could help show me around. I mentioned I was new to this human women, but she seemed to busy to show a complete stranger around. However, an elf seemed to overhear my predicament. He recommended that I talk to some of the locals, and help them out so that I would be accepted in Hlint. This elf went by the name of Merilor Coldcrescant. Merilor told me to talk to a women by the name of Florah, he said she might need some help. She seemed to have a problem with a theft of a book of tax records. It seemed some creature, she called him the Ratman had taken it. I could not say no for I am always eager to help someone in need. So me and Merilor joined togther to complete this task. We headed down into the sewers underneath the town. When we down in the sewers we ran into anouther man by the name of Barbare. It seemed he was also trying to help Florah, so the three of us joined forces and headed though the sewers. We got though the first level of the sewers without to much trouble, just a few rats here and a few rats there, but when we went to the second level we ran into more dangerous creatures. We ran into not only bigger rats, but deadly poisonous spiders. We clear out a few more rooms, when I saw the creature that Florah had named the Ratman. The creature attacked us as soon as it noticed that we had entered his domain. The three of us vaquished the ratman and I retrived the book of tax records for Florah. Merilor also gave me a nice rat pelt, said you never know who might need one of these. We made our way back though the sewers and to the surface. I then seeked out Florah immediately knowing that she would definatly want the tax book back as soon as possible. Florah was most happy to have the book back. Then I was off to my next adventure...

So after we retrieved the tax book for Florah, the elf named Merilor decided to depart, so me and Barbare decided to help out anouther in need without Merilor. Barbare had heard of this bard in the local tavern that had lost her necklace in a nearby cave. Barbare was confident we could retrieve this necklace just the two of us, but I figured it would be good to find some help. We walked by some benches were I noticed a younge female with a hood over her face. I decided sense that she was the only one around to ask her if she'd help us. The lady, who interduced herself as Rhynn Shaebhal, helped us, but in not my favorite way. Magic, the trickery of the mages instead of fighting side by side, weapons drawn. Thou the spells did seem to be useful. After Rhynn had aided us with her magic, me and Barbare headed off to retrive the Bard's necklace. We headed out into the forest, luckily we stayed out of sight of any dangerous creatures. Well we traveled only a short way into the forest when we came across the cave in which the bard had spoken of. As we entered the cave we saw a anouther dwarf fighting some Kolbolds. We just jumped into the scene for this dwarf looked like he might need some help. After the threat was ended we talked with the dwarf. He needed to get going so we kept it brief, but I did learn the dwarf's name. Faldak is what he called himself. He seemed like a good soul I hope I might see him around Hlint again. So we continued on though the cave where we not only ran into more kolbolds, but also big cubes of ooze. I wasn't sure how to fight these creatures, but an axe seemed to get the job done in the end. After the oozes, it seemed we were getting to the end of the cave when we ran into a group of goblins. After some arrows fired by Barbare and a few swings of my axe we found the bard's missing necklace. We traveled the same path back that we had taken though the cave. We didn't have any more trouble except for one last group of kolbolds at the cave's enterance. We went though the forest and back into the town of Hlint. We returned the necklace to the bard. She was most pleased. Then Barbare and I went out seperate ways. I went to rest next to the fire till the next day's journey...

My next time out in the town of Hlint was a fairly busy one. I was walking around the eastern side of town when I ran into the Postmaster. Trying to be friendly and get on the good side of Hlint, and Postmaster Vale. I asked him if he needed any help. He said he could use some help in delivering a letter to Systrian, who was somewhere around town. So I took the letter and went looking for this Ms. Systrian. I didnt have to look to hard when I found her on the side of Hlint's pond. She said her thanks and then I went off looking for more people to help...

I went out exploring the rest of Hlint when I entered the local craft house. I saw a a man walking around and we began to talk. Turns out his wife was very sick, but he needed to gather some pelts, so I offered my services to help gather the pelts he needed. He said I should first collect a rat pelt. I remembered Merilor had given me a rat pelt. So I gave Johan the pelt that he asked for. He then asked for a bat pelt and then I went off to search for this pelt...

As I went searching for the rat pelt, I ran into the Quatermaster of Hlint. Quatermaster Talon, is what the man introduced himself to me as. He said he had a goblin problem and wanted to know if I would help him. Just knowing he needed help made me ready to clear these goblins out. He said I should collect five ears to prove that I had cleared out the goblins. I then searched for someone who could tell me exactly where the goblins were. I ran into a fellow dwarf, Gothim Shieldbreaker, was his name. He was a very kind dwarf, he not only told me where to find these goblins, but offered to help me complete my task for Quatermaster Talon. As we left Hlint and went to the wilderness, I found out that Gothim also was a follower of Vorax. Gothim, a cleric of Vorax, called upon Vorax to give us his blessing. After Vorax had blessed us with some powers, we were off. We cleared out the first wave of goblins without to much trouble, but I only retrived two ears. We went back to the fire, to wait for more goblins to come out. Gothim, had to leave, but I thanked him for all his help. I returned on up on the hill and cleared out the second wave of goblins, still with the powers that Vorax has blessed us with. I then retrived two more ears and then rest by the fire. When I was finished resting, Vorax's blessings were gone. I went to the hill and I only saw a few goblins. I cleared them out, and retrived the last ear I needed. I then went back to town to give the ears back to Quatermaster Talon. He was thankful for my help. I then went back to the fire to get some well earned rest...

Over the next few days I was rather busy. I met up with a fellow dwarf by the name of Erk. Seemed he was helping out anouther fellow by the name of Qual. Qual seemed to need help finding the leader of the Red Light Goblins, seemed a man had a bounty on this goblins head. We went though clearing out the goblins, while we were down there thou I did find a bat to skin, so I could return it back to Johan. Erk, Qual, and I collected the head of the goblin leader that Qual was searching for. We then went back to the surface and I departed from Qual and Erk. I went to turn in the bat pelt to Johan. He was pleased and then asked me to find him a badger pelt. So I then went searching for a badger. I found some badgers outside the west wall of Hlint. I then skinned the badger that I found and went to turn in the pelt. He said is usual thanks and asked me to find him the pelt of a deer. I went walking around in search of someone who could tell where I might find a deer, I then was alittle spooked when a deer came running though Hlint and began to attack me. I slew the deer and returned the pelt back to Johan. When he then asked me to find him the pelt of a boar. So I walked to the main part of Hlint, when I ran across a man by the name of Celgar Magnus, who told me that I could find a boar in the Sielwood Forest. I was lucky on this journey for I didn't run into any problems. I found by boar just where Celgar said they would be. I then slewed and got my pelt. Thou It seemed I wasn't done in the Sielwood Forest. On my return trip to Hlint, I ran into a fellow dwarf by the name of Lora. She also needed a boar pelt, so I asked if she would like my help in finding one. So with my helpshe her pelt and we both made if safely out of the Sielwood Forest and back to Johan to return the pelts. After all that work for Johan I decided to go rest by the fire...

As I awoke and thought to myself, I had a long hard day yesterday maybe I should just relax today. Well that didn't happen. I went wondering around town when I noticed a fairly large group of people standing outside the sewer. Seemed all these people were to help Ms. Florah, who apparently had gotten the tax book stolen again. So I asked the group if I could help them help Ms. Florah. So I and eight other companions went though the sewers to find the taxbook. With such a large group clearing the sewers and the quest to retrieve Ms. Florah's taxbook seemed to be a simple task. After the completion of the task was done to members of group went their own seperate ways. The other six and I went to help out the undertaker of Hlint, a odd looking sir by the name of Erag. Now when thier was a metion of slaying some undead I was more then willing to go along. The grip on my axe grew tighter and I felt some fire building in me. For I knew this was a chance avenge the my lost clan members, and Clan Silveryaxe. * there is a few circles on the page where the ink is smeared as if someone's tears had hit the paper* When we entere the crypts of Hlint I took the lead. With Vorax guiding my axe and the fire burning in my heart of my lost clan, I cut down several of the undead skeletons. We continued our path through the crypts as I continued to lead. My silvered axe also hungry to kill the enemy of my god's minions. We cleared out all the undead. Skeletons, zombies and wraiths and even a lesser dark soul didn't stand against me and my other companions. We then took back the essence to Erag had wanted. In which I lead the party back though the crypts, clearing out any of the undead we had missed. After we turned in the essence I left the group and went to rest for I was rather tired after clearing out the crypts. So I went and rested by the fire after anouther event day...

When I woke I wandered around in Hlint to see if anyone needed any help. I ran into my friend Erk, he said he was off to mine some minerals and wondered if I would like to come. We set though the Sielwood Forest and into a cave. It was the same cave that I and Barbare had found the bard's necklace. We cleared out the goblins, kobolds, and oozes, then Erk went to work mining some minerals he needed. After he was though mining and we cleared the rest of the kolbolds we had missed we traveled back through the Sielwood Forest and went to go chat by the fire. We talked about a few things but one topic was most interesting. I told Erk that one day I wanted to train and become an Undead Slayer. He said he knew a great undead slayer and that he would talk to him for me. I was most thankful. He then left after out long discussion. So I then just decided to gets some sleep...

Tis anouther day I thought has I was sitting on a bench in Hlint. I then started talking to a few kin of mine. Gilshem and Beli are there names. They invited me to go on a mining trip, to a mine near Haven. When I arrived in Haven, I noticed a castle and decided to check it out, seems a Lord Rodor was in need of some help. He asked me to kill the ogre leader that had taked over the mines, in which we were about to go mining in. I agreed, when
I arrived at the mine, Gilshem and Beli were already ready. We entered the mine and it didnt take to long to find the ogres that Lord Rodor had spoken of. It was a long and hard jouney though the mines, but in the very last room where the best veins were was the ogre chieften. After a great battle me friends and me were victorious. Then Gilshem and Beli began to mine. After the mined we left cleared out a few more ogres. I then returned to Lord Rodor with the ogre's head as proof. He was most pleased. After that dangerous journey, I decided to get some rest...

After me rest, I decided to head back to town, but when I arrived at town I ran into anouther kin. Dalan this one called himself. Seemed was interested in mining some copper in the Red Light Caves. I said, I planned to go thier meself to retrive the head of the goblin leader. Seemed a fellow dwarf, by the name of Ronus wanted it. He said he could use the company and didn't mind hunting down some goblins either. As we entered the cave we met up with a goblin welcomeing party. We cleared them out, and the rest of the goblins of the first level. After we did we went down to the second level. With Dalan with me clearing out the mines seemed to be a little easy. While he mined on the second level I watched gaurd. I saw something, but it wasn't no goblins. Two companions, who also seeked the head of the goblin leader for Ronus. So we join togethered and cleared out the goblins and retrieved the leaders head. The elf of the group said I should take too Ronus. So we headed back out of the gave and I headed back to Hlint, to give Ronus the goblin's head...

After I turned in the head I went to sit on a bench to rest. When I overheard a few strangers talking, turned out to be Master Quantom Winword, the Undead Slayer tha Erk agreed to talk to for me. After I introduced meself we went to talk by the fire. He asked me why I was interested in training to become an Undead Slayer. After I told him of how Corath's minions had killed all of my clan member, I told him that I felt that Vorax was telling me this is where I fell into his plans. Then I spoke of I wanted to avenge the death of me clan. He agreed to teach me. He then sent me on his me first task as his apprentice. He told me to go into the crypts and get two skeletons' knuckles and an essence of a dark soul. So I then left and went to the crypts of Hlint. When I could feel the burning in me heart again for me lost clan members. I cleared out the first level of all the skeletons without much trouble, for my axe was being guided by Vorax. I then went down to the lower level and clear out all of the undead that got in the way of me silvered axe. I then vanquished the darksoul and got the essence that Master Quantom had asked fer. I then followed my same path back and cleared out the few remaining undead creatures that crossed my path...

When I got to the benches of Hlint, I saw a new face. We began to speak, I found out some information, from this man. His name was Yuki, seemed he needed some copper to fix his father's sword. I said I would be more then happy to help him. So I asked a few friends to help me on this journey to through the Red Light Caves. Talia and Val had agreed to help me through this journey. So went into the cave and cleared out the first level without to much trouble. Has we went down to the second level of the cave I started looking for some viens. We had a few more fights, we did find the viens. Seemed Yuki didn't know how to mine some I mined some ingots of copper. After we finished mining we went to clear out the new leader of the goblins, someout knew Ronus would be asking for it. After the goblin leader was vanquised and we took his head we headed back to the cave's enterance. A few more battles on the way up, but nothing to difficult. I gave Yuki the copper that he needed and I departed from the group, for I was rather tired and needed rest....

My home this town of Hlint started to change, The goblins that were but a minor problem, got much more skilled and caused to much trouble. The residents of Hlint started leaving for a safer town. I soon had to agree, I left in search of a much safer town. I journyed to a much larger town, but it was safer. Port Hempstead it was called, twas me new home. Of course the first day I had to look around. Me and anouther journyed around the city to see all the sights...

Over the next few day I was rather busy, for I had to explore my new surrondings. I needed to see what was all around me new home of Hlint. I met up with a fellow dwarf that was preety easy on the eyes. A Ms. Grena Rockbasher, we journeyed around for some adventure. THou thier was some adventure in town for after I and Grena went our ways I was asked to help the sewer lady. Seemed something in the sewers was clogging the pipes and she asked me to take a look. I entered the sewers and didnt see anything to excited some rats here and there, a couple of spiders. Thou when I came to the last couple of rooms I found what was causing the clogs. Seemed acouple of lizard men were making some troubles. After I had vanquiest them and went to tell the sewer lady that the problem was solved, she was most thankful. That was not the only adventure thou I found that Trent a guard need some help with the Kolbolds out of town. Seemed thou that Beli had already taken care of it I then just went and told Trent who was most happy. I went adventuring with Beli and few others. Once I departed from them I met a mage who told me to call her by the name of Ms. Lucky and a half-orc by the name of Gork. We then went into these spooky woods. We then ran into some more undead. I then took out my silvered axe and began vanquising these foes. After went deeper into the woods I found a small camp in which was in need of help. Seemed some creature was needed to be killed, so ofcourse I couldn't ignore a cry for help and me, Gork, and Ms. Lucky went to vanquish this beast. After a few more encounters with the undead me found the beast the group had spoken of. We then vanquished and went back to the camp to tell them the task was compleated. We then went our own ways and I return to Port Hempstead for some much needed rest...

Anouther day, I spent with Master Quantom, he was proud that I had completed my first task. We then went over a very importance lesson, he told me six things that should not be forgotten, for they shall be needed during my travels, if I train well enough to be an Undead Slayer.
1. Never underestimate your opponent
2. Learn all about the undead creature you are to face
Gave an examples with Shades. He taught me of the three different shades, theier strength and weaknesses.
3. That I should search pubs of rumers of the undead for even a rumer have some truth.
4. Be mindful of the public, not all people want to know you are on a job to kill the undead, for they may be frightful of yourself.
5. Keep people you trust enough to travel with safe. Thou you should not put the others you travel with in danger.
6. Thier will be places I need to go and do and I should be ready when it is time. He taught me I should learn how to fight like a blind person, incase of creature that might become invisible, also I should learn how to knock down a foe.
We continue he talking about weapons and enchantments I could put on them. We seemed to talk about things for a while til he gave me his next quest to retrive a will-o-wisp essence, but I should follow #2 and learn all about the creature first...

I then went to do what Master Quantom had told me to do. I went in search of all the information about a will-o-wisp. I asked around until I found Celgar again and his friend. Seemed they could help me with my problem. They taught all about my foe, this will-o-wisp, until I was confident that I could accomplish the task. I then departed from the two and headed to retrive the essence. When I ran into Ms. Grena, we discussed my plan and she offered to come with me to get the essence. Wasn't to hard of a journey, thou I did remember that will-o-wisp were dangerous and hard to hit. They could you certain spells. Thou armed with this information me and Grena were able to defeat one. I then got the essence and we returned to Port Hempstead. I then departed from Grena and get in abit of shut eye...

Twas anouther day in me life. Thou this one wasn't the most adventures it twas still quite interesting. I was just walking around outside of Port Hempstead when I saw an unusual creature. Seemed she was some type of lion but with six limbs. Then anouther man, a druid it seemed to be started talking to it in some type of animal tounge. It was rather strange. I began to spreak wit the druid. Seemed the lion creature was from far away and it was called a Wemic. He also told me that he was trying to teach this wemic the common language. So all three us had an intersting chat, turns out the Wemic was named Freana and the druid Kallin. Well i taught Freana a few words like dwarf. When we heard a few others get into a fight with some kobolds. We went rushing over to help them out. When the battle was over the other went away. I then thought it was about time for me to leave as well. I said my goodbye and went to relax in the safe wall of Port Hempstead...
