I wasnt sure if I was the only one but this has been comfirmed by at least one other that i went with.
After you trasition, the screen freezes (at least for me as it does in most new areas) and there is a sound bug high pitch distortion sweeping down. It is actualy pretty loud taht any one playing with head phones and not knowing of the bug, could potentialy get earing problem out of it..

We think we fixed this error in the next update. Hard when we can't replicate it faithfully.

It's happened to me across servers since I first went online with NWN. It always happens for me and may be a sound card issue and not a thing the Project Team can fix.

On that note, I am actually buying my second sound card of my life (They don't make Audigy Gamers like they used to... like 6 years ago...)

I haven't been there in a while to see if this is still there but when V3 first came on the sound was the same sound that gets made when you go into the first screen of the rift and magic is stripped.

Bug Report

Descrition:
The area seems to have very high distortion on the sound characteristics. It sounds like your inside a cave. That could lead to the high pitched sound that is being experinced here, among along with the freezing of the screen.

To me, it sounds like horrible, evil, demonic static.

the only other place i have heard the same kind of distortion was when you enter the rift cave wher you got a dispelling funtion fired up. But this one is way louder, and shouldnt be there.

So for the sound card issue idea this one is not it.
