WL running quest for new players

I was asked if I could run a quest for a dwarf which wants to become a battle rager,

Now, is there some standard procedures I have to follow or how do I go by this?

Further do I get some tools to work with? Otherwise I believe there will not be much “depth” in the event.
Of course we can talk , talk, talk and then hack, slash, crunch, punch – though I would like to make it a bit more tricky….

Anyway… Gms some help please…

There are systems in the game that allow you for instance to place a treasure chest and to write a map for him. You can create puzzles and such when you explain the way to the treasure and so forth. This could be a part of it.

But really, taking him to the arena for practice, talking to him about the duties of a Rager and the ways of Vorax would go a long way in my opinion. Since we are in the same timezone I can help you out with something small. But I think with a little creativity you can do this on your own ;)

Good reply Harlas. Much of what I would have stated as well. We do have those systems in place for players so hopefully they can help you in this sort of thing Varka.

1)
I'll pm/call you harlas - concerning the treasure chest later on...

2)
As there is no direct answer to "Now, is there some standard procedures I have to follow or how do I go by this?".. Especially about WL stating success or failure of the quest - I will simply pm Harlas what the outcome of the "quest" have become.

3) I will reply here what choice the player made in the end for this (WL or a cdq by a GM)... as to simply inform GM's and the team how this went...

Hang on a second...
Are you asking if you can essentially run what will in effect be a CDQ for a character to take a Battlerager PrC, with the character's success/failure and thereby ability to take Battlerager levels being determined by the outcome of this quest? Or are you saying the quest will be the first steps toward an eventual resubmission and CDQ for Battlerager?

1) yes
2) no

Dorganath...i will wait for more respons..

Short notice and follow up on what I "hear" a WL run quest is (but I might be wrong of course. that is why I ask you guys):

"The concept behind WL run a "CDQ quest" is that the world leader takes on the role of training the character in a prestige class. And sets the character a series of tasks. This is to (1) create a linkage between the new generation of chracters and the past (2) lighten the load on requiring a GM present."

If I am wrong please just tell me shortly and I will ask the player to submit a CDQ. Thank you

Sorry guys I know you are busy....
You can put this topic aside.
When you will decide if a WL can run a quest or not please post it in another more official post...

I have told the player to look for a GM.

Thank you
