Sheik Hisally Jimud a powerful, independently wealthy investor and highly influential mercantile banker residing in Prantz announced today the formation of a new Guild in Prantz. The newly formed Silver Crescent Guild will be responsible for developing trade across Dreger using the main ports of Audiria on the west coast and Hurm on the east coast.
The announcement has caused consternation amongst the guild fraternity in Prantz and in other organizations currently engaged in the same activities.
Although questioned in regards to the controversial name of the organization the Sheik merely made the comment that he has every assurance that the name is merely a chance coincidence and in no way linked to the notorious organization that is said to engage in slavery in many of the western nations.
The corporate entity that comprises the Sheiks many widespread interests has acted quickly to set up a headquarters in Prantz and a similar one in Audiria. The Sheik has acknowledged that negotiations will soon begin with the Ruler of Liwich in relation to approaching Hurm authorities about the newly formed guild operations out of that rapidly growing influential port. He has indicated that the potential wealth and prestige that the Port city could reap from such a venture could be enormous and that he personally will be applying pressure on the kingdoms ruler Lady Angelica Liwich to agree to such a business venture.
In Hurm, the spokesman for both Lady Angelica Liwich and Regnant Morgensen; Marcheisan Anovarius, has came forward and made comment that they will not be dictated to in terms of any such agreement with the so called Silver Crescent guild and that any plans involving the port of Hurm will have to be directed through proper channels rather than through the Lady Angelica. Marcheisan has stated clearly that Lady Angelica has made quite clear that she trusts that her Regnant can more than handle the situation without her interference.
