Big bug with goblin

Ok I got aproved recently for a goblin character. But I am having many problems. First the default skin doesnt seem to work, I stay with the head of an halfling. Then anything that requires a bit more from the pc makes NWN crash. Example: after creating the second goblin I made some experienes like changing weapons and armors. When I was taking the clothes the NWN crashed and now each time I try to log in it crashes. It only hapens with the goblins. Like so I would require some help here in order to play with this character. Any ideas?

Ok after a last try I finaly understood whats going on with the Goblin thingie. First of all: after the log in the skin changes from halfling to goblin skin, all correct till now. After that it says i am going to be booted in order to finish the goblin skin. When you log in again instead of goblin head you have goblin head. Second: aparently a player cant put a goblin "naked" because the NWN crashes (maybe too much information). So if I missclick or something its poof, bye bye character. After you take the clothes it seems there is nothing you can do. Is it possible to fix?

It sounds to me like a hak issue on your side, my friend. I've never heard about this kind of bug for Goblins, but I will look. Expect an answer shortly..

Make sure you have the latest control hak. It was updated last weekend.

No really I just checked it all and I have all the haks i need

The head will probably have to be set by a GM.  There are no "goblin" heads, but rather goblin-looking halfling heads.

And make sure you re-download the control HAK.  The name is the same, but the contents have changed.

Okay I tried to sort this out, he was all messed up. He looked like a halfling with strange metallic discolourations. I tried to use the goblin appearance changer which didn't have the desired effect.

he ended up not being able to rest due to being on "horseback"

oh I just fixed that, heh turns out it was my fault.


Anyway I set his appearance to an NPC goblin skin for the interim until someone can help him get the PC goblin skin though he indicated that he might be happier with the one I gave him anyway.

I'm having the same problem as well.  Now when I try to log on my NWN shuts down.  When I first logged on, I had a really cool goblin looking wizard and then I was booted for skin stuff.  I re-logged and found a goblin with a halfling head and goblin hands.  I think I tried to get him down to his skivvies, but I was booted and ever since, I can't log back on.   I have all the haks (Downloaded twice to make sure).  The character name is Glurrk and my log in name is Dagesh. You need to ask a dm in game after you get reloged. Warning: Never take or change your armour/cloth until a dm helps you, otherwise you will crash

The problem is I can't log in at all with this character and the only way I could log in is if I made a new character which would need to be deleted and I don't know the rules on that.  arg

You can have any PC deleted, it just takes time. See this link for how. If your character truly has some error and needs to be remade I believe you can remake your pc, with an extra space in the name. However I'd wait on doing that till we establish that it is indeed necessary.

Before you all go deleting characters, this particular bug should be fixed with the next update, and that should happen within a day or so.
