Stickied in this very forum is "Zero's rough pricing guide." While not everything is there, a great deal of information about the about pricing is available there if you can sift through all the mess of posts. Also, I'm no going to guarantee everything there is current. Perhaps I will work up a new pricing guide... oh, wait... I have to have free time first.... =P
Seriously, though, somewhere in there I posted about the prices of several raw goods. My prices were disputed, and rightfully so as I've worked the layo market much longer now and tend to agree with the critiques.
One thing you have to address is demand. If something is highly sought after, the price should increase. Demand for an item is what determines it's value. If nobody wants something, it's worthless, but if everyone wants it, it's priceless. Aloe, for instance, is often in a fairly high demand. As such, it should be sold at fairly high prices. Eggs, oddly enough, also have a tendency to become a hot commodity, and as such I've seen a box of eggs sell for as much as 10,000 gp. Way too high you say? Not if you consider their demand, and that demand determines value. (or at least it does in a RL setting. thanks to an infinite supply of gold coins, sometimes prices in Layo can get inflated as the value of money decreases because everyone has lots of it... which is again an issue of demand)
Anywho, hope this helps.
