Tactician anyone?
« on: May 22, 2007, 10:30:01 PM »
// This solicitation can be found in various places around Hempstead, Vehl, Wayfare, Krandor, Llast, and Hlint. There is even one at the Stormcrest Shack.
// It appears to have been roughly written, and reads as follows:

Tactician looking for work. Growing combat experience/*currently level 6*/.
Five effective strategies. Meele: iron sabre. Ranged: Heavy Crossbow
Minimum request is 5T.
The rest depends on the loot found.
Good tactics increase the chances of survival.

Kenelm Alan

// Note: (number)T is equivalent to (number) True.

// Secondary Note: "T" refers to a symbol I have yet to figure out.

// Third note: The "currently level ..." comment may be more helpful than we realize...

*A cloaked figure examines the posting, then dips a quill in ink and scribbles a reply*

Limited combat experience, and you're so proud of your tactical abilities that you're making demands?  Three True and that'll get you a room at the Scamp to sleep off whatever you've been drinking.

// A not too premature premature bump! Not to mention a post by Kenelm!

*A scruffy-looking, bedraggeled gentleman reads the posting in the mug, shakes his head, and quickly scribes*
- Perhaps if you were to give some idea of what thy patrons would be receiving in exchange for their gold, ye'd have slightly more success?  And if ye plan on accompanying to ensure that your strategies pay off well, perhaps you should just ask for a share of the party's profit.  Just a notion. -

    *Looks and grins*

How much you charge for target holder? Or living target?

Oh, I don't know, 200,000,000,000T to be either a living target, or a target-bearer. It would have to be paid up front, in full, at the bank.[/i]
