Characters on or not on LORE

I'd have posted in the part of the forum marked 'LORE Bugs' but that link seems to direct one to an otherwise blank page in LORE itself.

Anyhow, while I realize LORE was recently moved and all, it seems I'm experiencing a couple oddities.

First off, my character Dradnats Lausu doesn't seem to be listed in LORE at all.

Secondly, the informational page regarding my character Emwonk T'noduoy doesn't seem to be updating with recent information.  Last update for him was on 2007-03-11 at 06:50:38, back when he was 7th Level.  He's currently 10th Level.

While I realize LORE has become a rather low priority, if it indeed has any prioriy left to it at all, I'd appreciate someone responding to this post at very least, and if nothing can be done I'll go on merrilly playing here on Layonara anyhow.  But, if it can be fixed, I'll be rather greatful, as I've always found the LORE system to be one of the great things about Layonara that sets it apart from most other persistant worlds.

LORE hasn't properly updated since migrating to the new forums, so whether a new character isn't showing up or an old character isn't current, both are symptomatic of the same thing.

Character updating should be working again but there was a problem with the bic file transfer process and will require a little more time on my part. Not sure when I can get to that. Most likely next weekend.

As for bird sending, parchment folders and etc, I do not believe they are functional at this time. Sorry.

Yes, that post gave me the impression that character updating was working again...of course if the 'bic file transfer process' mentioned has something to do with the characters updating I apologize for posting here and wasting time.  Being a non-technical person for the most part, I didn't realize the full meaning of OneST8's comments.  Thanks.

Ah, sorry.  a .BIC file is a character file.  Sorry for the confusion there.

If the .BICs are not transferring, then the old characters won't properly update and the new ones won't show up.

My fault. I have not had the time to run the sync program for a while. I should be doing it every night and, well, I forget, get busy, have other issues to deal with, and I could go on. But it is an excuse that I know shouldn't be used, its just that I don't have the time right now. I will go run the sync file now so that it is up to date over the next 48 or so hours so long as during the move the transfer still happens; and I am not sure it is or not.

Ah, well that explains a lot Leanthar, I wasn't aware the updates to LORE were manually triggered/run by you.  With that said, I (and likely everyone else who's a devoted player in your world) thank you for the time and effort you do put into this amazing online community/playground.

Just an fyi that the bic files (binary character information) are not being transferred to the LORE server at this time which means that while the updater is working, no new changes are being made. I will get to this when I find the time.

Bug fixed. Performing a vault-wide update now so that all the characters get the encoding stored/displayed correctly.
