....My baby boy is getting all grown up!

Today I took his cot down, assembled his bed and then made it up with the amazingly cute space betset I discovered in a sale.

On one hand I can't wait to see his reaction when he sees it for the first time and on the other hand a part of me is gonna miss all the daft little things that went along with him sleeping in a cot.

Of course as my man pointed out....We are assuming he will actually like said cute bedset, knowing my luck he'll hate it

Get him his own mini TV and music system....and he'll love it!
Put a X-box or Playstation 2 in there....and you won't see him except for dinner time. hehe

Our soon to be 6 year old has her own PC although not her own TV yet....She's yet to work out that all the games she enjoys playing on it are actually very educational!

Cute! I remember that step with our kids here. Just like you we wondered how each one would take it and we also looked foward to their first reaction to seeing the changes. Its one of those neat steps in parenting.

Well enjoy your time with him regardless of how he likes the bed.  My little baby is now 6'2" and starts playing college football this fall.  College registration over Father's Day was a bit harder then I thought it would be.  I guarantee you the time goes faster then you ever think is possible.  Almost layo time it now seems like.

See, the key is to keep your child ignorant of the fact that non-educational games exist (at least for a while). A difficult task I know, but highly worth it.

Aww .  Mine switched as soon as the little monkey was climbing out of his crib, it was more an adjustment for me than him I think!

Containment Honora..... the containment I miss more!  Baby, not so much, I don't think dads exist in a babies eyes... We don't provide... food.

Now that mine is seven...

I miss containment, now if I put him in a cage it's child abuse...

My little guy has been in a big boy bed for 18 months or so now. He has never once fallen out and yet I still go in every night, before I go to bed, and put pillows next to his bed.

 I remember when i was 6 or so... my mom gave me my first video game, a SNES, well, what happened was exactly what LordCove said... =P
