Subrace Error?

Hi all! I'm having a little trouble. Just created a new character, woodelf, Leithwin Ravenbrow - I used WoodElf as the subrace (as per lore) but when I started the character I got a message "You should chose a proper Subrace" or something. My character says "WoodELF" now.. ... NWN crashed on Alt Tab so I do n't have the exact wording.. But does it matter? How do I know if it worked properly?

"Your subrace cannot be a member of the race you selected" It comes up every time I load the character. Any ideas?

My guess would be you didn't select Elf as a base race when you were creating the character (since server status page says Leithwin's race is Human)...

Oh boy To select a base race, do you press 'ELF' and then go back into it and write "WoodElf" ?

Yeah, you click on 'Elf' first, then click on 'Subrace' and enter "WoodElf"

Yeah, just did it then (it DID change my char to an elf... though I have a feeling there may be other problems..) But I have another issue, being that I am stuck in death realm. I've posted it in the Issues/griefing/whatever forum.

Did you try using your remembering orb?

I thought the remembering orb just marked your location? How do you use it to teleport to your location? I used the remembering orb in town last so if that were the case it wo uld be fine!

Using it in the death void should return you to someplace less dark.  Only do that though if you've been there for more than 30 seconds.

However, upon second thought, you've logged in and out several times, so your last location is now likely set in the Death Void, so yeah...try to get the attention of a GM to port you out.

It still tells me my last soul bind is in the beginning city - Ps. To talk to a GM do I use the DM channel? WHen I do it doesn't display any text or anything?

Yes, the DM channel is how you do it.  And that's correct...you won't see anything there.  A GM usually responds in tells.

To increase your chances, you might try posting when you'll be on so a GM might be able to see this and log on to help you.  Alternatively, you can try to get a GM's attention via IRC

Looks like you're having your character deleted though, so that should get you out of the Void as well!

And you might not have bound your character to a Bindstone either, there are many around towns and locales at the servers, mostly looking like a celtic cross or a standing tablet,  they can be seen from afar by the shaft of blue light on them. Hope this helps your next character
