fallen of the oak

:winds and birds carry the message to all friends of the wilds of one of their own has fallen never to rise again:

:a cheetah makes its way outside the city of hempstead carefully dodging all eyes to the angels door where an amulet covered in blood is dropped with its weavings of the leaves and bark:

A red haired woman enters the edge of the Silkwood and stops to watch the badgers play.  After a sitting quietly and contemplating for a while she carefully makes her way to a large oak at the edge of the clearing.  Boosting herself up gracefully she climbs about mid height of the tree and looks round. From here she can see the badgers, the clearing and the forest well.  She takes her pack off carefully and removes an item.   A set of wind chimes soon tinkles in the afternoon breeze. Carved facets of a cheetah, a dragon, a bird and a kitten make up the musical chime.  She carefully attaches it to a limb of the tree so that when the wind blows just right the faint sound of ....Drogo... can be heard in the breeze.  She climbs down carefully and then listens for the remembrance of her once friend. ....

Ferrit, who received the bloody Amulet of the Oak from the cheetah's mouth, wraps it carefully in green leaves and puts in in a small wooden chest in her pack.  Someday, she'll visit the Great Oak, and bury Drogo's cherished badge and blood among its roots so that he may continue to protect and nourish the great tree.

Daniel receives the oak leaf from the young cheetah and gently presses it into his journal next to a crude sketch of an wild elf.  Taking a much used iron sword from his pack, he snaps it two over his armored knee destroying its minor electrical enchantment and buries it at the foot of an oak tree.  "Veew fa omealw Wmeve", Daniel whispers as he walks away.

*Tyrian sits on the edge of her bed after receiving word*

*looks up at he roof... unsatisfied... she walks outside and looks at the sky*

"Goodnight Drogo", she says, bowing her head at the sky.

Dressed entirely in black, Dalan strides through the woods of Silkwood.  He briefly smiles as he hears a wind chime softly in the breeze.  And then once more his face grows solumn.  "To many times have I worn this cloth of black at the loss of a friend. Still Drogo has returned to the soil, tree and wind of his beloved forest.  I know he watches all who travel through this land from some special place."
 
 With those words, he recalls memories of his friend as he settles down on the top of a hill not far from Hlint to watch the badger cubs play and to keep silent vigil for a time.
