well a few of us are wondering how come the New Cathedral  wasn't put into the mod.  Any information would be great .....

Do you have any more information then this?  Like an original request, someone who submitted it, a team contact that you were working with to have the new one built, where it was supposed to go?

Sorry to throw all those questions at you without looking it up myself, but of all the areas changed or new, I have absolutely no recollection of a Rofirein Cathedral.

And that thread is an update of this one, which says the same thing:

A new Temple will be constructed in the town of Western Gate on Corsain Island.

There was a player-driven idea to build a temple there prior to this event/agreement, but it became more of a simple donation request after it became an official NPC policy.  Tarradon and Jennara each donated half a million True to the Church for its construction, and who knows how much else was given or what resources the Church had dedicated?

I think I can answer this by saying I don't believe anyone has submitted such a request to the devs to make something like this happen.  A lot of things might be "built" without actually being in-game.  Usually posting things in general forums is not enough and can often be overlooked by those who need to know about them.

That post was dated 7/30/2007, and on that date Chongo and I were in the last stages of updates and testing.  I can say that if we had an area to put in at that time, it would have been included.  If we had to build one, it's questionable whether or not it would have made it in.  I'm pretty sure neither of us was informed directly about this addition, though given the chaos, stress and overloaded schedules at the time, it could have been missed.

This is not a matter of excluding anything but rather of what was communicated to us in time to make a difference.  Perhaps someone is building the area right now for inclusion, but if it is, I'm not aware of it.  If someone gets an area, or at least a detailed description to Chongo, I'm confident he can work it in to an upcoming update.

Maybe Ed can say something here as he is aware of this as well. I believe it was one of those things that Darkwulf was organising to happen.

In game it was fairly well known that this was going to be happening and yes there has been a significant amount of time and effort in game to acquire the funds necessary to achieve such a construction.

This may be one of those cases where the wishes of the writers got missed in the intentions of the makers.

This has been going on and developing since about November last year to my knowledge.
