Storolds thoughts on falling

//This is a log from yesterday where Storold sort of made up his mind about all this I will get back with more OOC comments soon
[17:30:44]
Storold Doesscha:
*Waves a little*
[17:31:00]
Storold Doesscha:
Hello Alleina...
[17:31:05]
Alleina Shiante:
*She smiles a little and waves back, while looking down at the little child playing with her ball.*
[17:31:17]
Storold Doesscha:
Why do you have your hood on?
[17:31:34]
Alleina Shiante:
It's comfortable...
[17:31:55]
Storold Doesscha:
*Nods a little*How is everything and do you mind if I sit?
[17:32:42]
Alleina Shiante:
Oh... do sit down if you wish.
[17:33:00]
Alleina Shiante:
*She smiles again, still keeping her eyes on the child.* I don't think anything can ever be bad again.
[17:33:10]
Storold Doesscha:
Well I have little else to do*Smiles a little said with a tone of no emotions*
[17:33:23]
Alleina Shiante:
Oh?
[17:33:46]
Storold Doesscha:
Well the children went fishing with Mylindra so I thought I would go here
[17:33:53]
Alleina Shiante:
*She nods a little.*
[17:34:29]
Storold Doesscha:
*Sighs quietly*I guess I should go to Spellgard later
[17:35:32]
Alleina Shiante:
*She tilts her head slightly.*
[17:36:47]
Storold Doesscha:
Something.... Not so good happened
[17:37:22]
Alleina Shiante:
Is it something you wish to speak about...?
[17:37:42]
Storold Doesscha:
*Smiles a little*I guess you would understand better than most
[17:38:01]
Alleina Shiante:
*She gives him a puzzled look.*
[17:39:00]
Storold Doesscha:
**Fiddles his amulet which seems changed*
[17:39:31]
Alleina Shiante:
*She's still giving him a look of pure confusion.*
[17:40:17]
Storold Doesscha:
Lucinda... Choose not to let me have any of my divine powers for the next while...
[17:40:25]
Storold Doesscha:
**Looks down*
[17:41:37]
Alleina Shiante:
Oh...
[17:41:55]
Alleina Shiante:
*She asks in a catious voice.* What did you do...?
[17:42:05]
Storold Doesscha:
Aid enemies of the faith
[17:42:51]
Storold Doesscha:
Could be worse though... I am still part of the clergy for now
[17:43:53]
Alleina Shiante:
I see... *She murmurs something and then nods.*
[17:44:26]
Storold Doesscha:
*Sighs*
[17:45:39]
Alleina Shiante:
*She looks down at the baby and then smiles again.* I'm jealous. It is so very peaceful to be such small, to have no worries, to have no troubles. Every day passing by just like any other... no dislike, no hatred.
[17:45:53]
Storold Doesscha:
**Nods a little*
[17:47:48]
Storold Doesscha:
I don't know what to do now...
[17:48:33]
Alleina Shiante:
What do you want to do now?
[17:48:49] Muireann: Storold, Alleina
[17:49:15]
Storold Doesscha:
Hello Muireann...
[17:49:28]
Storold Doesscha:
**Looks up briefly
[17:49:45]
Alleina Shiante:
Hi, Muireann! *The little child in her arms seems not to notice the people around her, happily and innocently toying with the colorful ball of hers.*
[17:50:15] Muireann: **raises an eyebrow slightly* I'll leave you two to talk
[17:52:14]
Storold Doesscha:
Well I want to know what I should do
[17:53:11]
Alleina Shiante:
What do you think you should do? *She tilts her head again.*
[17:53:42]
Storold Doesscha:
I don't really know.... Try harder...
[17:53:54]
Alleina Shiante:
Oh...?
[17:54:48]
Storold Doesscha:
Try harder to serve
[17:55:34]
Alleina Shiante:
I don't really think that's a solution for a well defined path. *She smiles a little.*
[17:56:18]
Storold Doesscha:
How so?
[17:56:32]
Alleina Shiante:
It's like saying "fix it".
[17:56:50]
Storold Doesscha:
Ehhhh?
[17:57:10]
Alleina Shiante:
Try -what- harder?
[17:58:11]
Storold Doesscha:
Well what I have been trying all along
[17:58:35]
Alleina Shiante:
Which is...?
[17:58:52]
Storold Doesscha:
Serve the Lady of spells in the best possible way
[17:59:01]
Alleina Shiante:
Which is...?
[17:59:37]
Alleina Shiante:
*She gives a hearty laugh while hugging her child close again.* Your answers are as vague as the soup I had for breakfast.
[17:59:58]
Storold Doesscha:
**Throws his hands up*Well what can I do
[18:01:51]
Alleina Shiante:
Tried with talking with yourself? Reaching inside one's heart to see what you -wants- to do? If one's beliefs are just strong enough, I think everything is possible. *She smiles.*
[18:02:39]
Storold Doesscha:
Well I could just give up and throw away everything that made sense in my life till I found Mylindra and settle down in CLover
[18:02:43]
Storold Doesscha:
*Clover
[18:04:07]
Alleina Shiante:
Then do that if that's what you really want.
[18:04:20]
Storold Doesscha:
I don't know what I want
[18:04:46]
Storold Doesscha:
And more than that I don't know why I would want to do any of those two in the first place
[18:04:55]
Alleina Shiante:
*She answers bluntly* Then you can never reach a decision, but only letting the whole matter grow more and more painful.
[18:07:04]
Storold Doesscha:
Well the problem is that there would be no point in making this decition before now
[18:08:20]
Alleina Shiante:
*She lets out a sigh as she looks down at the happy child again, her features soften slightly.* You are very different from me, even though what we face, or has faced, are quite the same. The decision of putting the decision further away in time, the wish to cling to all.
[18:09:13]
Storold Doesscha:
Well I guess for now I am still part of the clergy so nothing entirely bad has happened yet... So far Lucinda is just testing me
[18:09:47]
Alleina Shiante:
I never made my decision before I finally made it either. *She shakes her head slightly.* Of course there would have been a point making such a decision before, although the lack of decision by itself can by some people be considered a decision already.
[18:10:53]
Storold Doesscha:
Indeed... But so far I haven't decited anything yet and I am still the same as I were before just without my divine link
[18:11:16]
Alleina Shiante:
*She smiles a little again.* You know, I actually made up my decision rather early. Or rather, that my mind made up the decision for me. Though, it turned out that the decision being done was not the one I had decided for, or not out of the same reason in the end.
[18:12:20]
Storold Doesscha:
Well my problem is that I have nowhere to turn at any rate, so I choose just to leave because I don't feel welcome anymore or stay because I know Lucinda still cares about me
[18:13:57]
Alleina Shiante:
*She remains silent.*
[18:15:25]
Storold Doesscha:
And really leaving at this point would be a rather odd decition since everyone reasured me that I was still welcome and I was still in favor just not in full favor as I used to be
[18:16:56]
Alleina Shiante:
What would you do if you knew that you would never be able to regain her favor?
[18:17:36]
Storold Doesscha:
I don't know, go home I guess, leave a note that they could send a letter if they needed me
[18:17:41]
Alleina Shiante:
*She now seems to have changed her attention from the child to him completely, although her face is rather expressionless.*
[18:18:04]
Alleina Shiante:
To leave or to stay?
[18:18:25]
Storold Doesscha:
Leave?
[18:18:31]
Storold Doesscha:
What do you mean?
[18:19:57]
Alleina Shiante:
*She points at a trashcan some distance away from her.* The choice is very close. If you had been told that you would never be able to regain her favor, would that be your choice?
[18:20:21]
Storold Doesscha:
Would what be my choice?
[18:20:54]
Alleina Shiante:
*She gives him a look of disbelief and then just shakes her head.* Nevermind.
[18:21:27]
Storold Doesscha:
Are yo implying that there would be a choice if she said she wanted nothing to do with me?
[18:21:51]
Alleina Shiante:
Are you implying that there are none?
[18:21:57]
Storold Doesscha:
Because to me that just sounds like what I did before I became a protector and started acting
[18:22:29]
Storold Doesscha:
Well there is little you could do then other than keep serving as you always have, that doesn't sound like there is a choice
[18:22:54]
Alleina Shiante:
You could leave and serve no more.
[18:23:24]
Storold Doesscha:
There is a difference, when I say leave I mean leave Spellgard
[18:23:41]
Storold Doesscha:
I would never leave Lucinda though
[18:23:51]
Alleina Shiante:
Then, I mean the same thing when I say leave.
[18:24:19]
Storold Doesscha:
That would still be different, leaving the clergy and not serving anymore is different
[18:24:37]
Storold Doesscha:
You might not be in favor but you can still serve the diety as you see fit
[18:24:51]
Alleina Shiante:
You would not be in her favor in that case.
[18:25:05]
Storold Doesscha:
No, but that wouldn't matter to me
[18:25:54]
Alleina Shiante:
If that's what will make you content, then so be it. *She smiles a little, returning her attention to the child again.*
[18:26:40]
Storold Doesscha:
*Frowns and looks oddly at Alleina*
[18:28:19]
Storold Doesscha:
I don't understand you
[18:28:20]
Alleina Shiante:
I've suddenly lost grasp of the whole issue here. You are clearly uncomfortable in the church, having no real mindset on keep going on that path beside what others are trying to persuade back into.
[18:28:57]
Storold Doesscha:
No one is trying to persuade me to anything
[18:29:49]
Storold Doesscha:
I just don't feel comfortable there and I never have been... However now is a time to correct that instead of making it worse, it is just a hard way to take as things are
[18:29:54]
Alleina Shiante:
*She says in a voice to imitate him.* And really, leaving at this point would be a rather odd decision, since everyone reassured me that I was still welcome.
[18:30:47]
Storold Doesscha:
*Chuckles lightly*
[18:30:49]
Alleina Shiante:
That is, apart from literary begging, is as close as one can come to persuasion.
[18:31:05]
Alleina Shiante:
*She smiles a little and tilts her head.*
[18:31:10]
Storold Doesscha:
Well maybe they care... Who knows....
[18:31:40]
Storold Doesscha:
I have to figure them out really.. I never really felt at home there so now I can at least start all over with them
[18:32:37]
Alleina Shiante:
Do you think they will change?
[18:32:45]
Storold Doesscha:
Not really... Maybe I will
[18:33:16]
Alleina Shiante:
*She smiles and nods again.* I'm glad to hear that.
[18:33:49]
Storold Doesscha:
*Shrugs*All depends... I guess I will be spending more time there now than I used to
[18:34:56]
Alleina Shiante:
*She does an imitation again, shruging also.* Yes, yes... depends, depends...
[18:35:04]
Storold Doesscha:
Pfftt...
[18:35:41]
Storold Doesscha:
I guess it doesn't... My children still need me
[18:37:12]
Alleina Shiante:
There might eventually be a point when you have to decide for either, you know. It doesn't mean you have to part with either, but it does mean a choice has to be made for which to put one's time on first.
[18:37:38]
Storold Doesscha:
*Grumbles*
[18:37:51]
Storold Doesscha:
It wont be any time soon
[18:38:44]
Alleina Shiante:
Probably not...
[18:38:57]
Storold Doesscha:
It WONT
[18:39:26]
Alleina Shiante:
*She gives him an amused look and says in another imitation.* Depends...
[18:40:12]
Alleina Shiante:
*She seems to have a rather hard time not to burst out, laughing.*
[18:40:21]
Storold Doesscha:
**Just shakes his head*
[18:40:48]
Storold Doesscha:
Why should it...
[18:42:13]
Alleina Shiante:
*She gives a hearty laugh as she says in a rather squeeky voice.* Depends...!
[18:42:33]
Storold Doesscha:
**Sighs and shakes his head*
[18:42:41]
Storold Doesscha:
Why are you doing this?
[18:44:13]
Alleina Shiante:
*She smiles.* I find your indecision very amusing, as it doesn't seem to be steeming from the answer itself, but perhaps more of the questions one has to ask oneself.
[18:44:57]
Storold Doesscha:
I don't have any questions I want to ask myself
[18:45:15]
Alleina Shiante:
Therefore you do not have clear answers either.
[18:46:25]
Storold Doesscha:
Well what is the whole point in making it even more unclear then?
[18:48:02]
Alleina Shiante:
Because it hopefully is forcing yourself to think more about the whole issue than trying to put it under the rugs? Or simply because you were not getting anywhere anyway and it would not have mattered what I did or what I said.
[18:50:21]
Storold Doesscha:
I don't want to care about it really
[18:50:40]
Storold Doesscha:
It just happened that is it, so no reason to take it any further
[18:50:58]
Alleina Shiante:
*She snorts.* Fine.
[18:51:34]
Storold Doesscha:
*Chuckles lightly*
[18:52:10]
Storold Doesscha:
Really... I can't do anything, I can't turn back time so I can only see what tomorrow brings
[18:53:40] Merki The Town Crier: Gather 'round and hear!
[18:53:50] Merki The Town Crier: Hear of Undead Slayers - Shape changing Druids, thats who. Druids exploring the crypts of Vehl were victim of some form of possession. The matter was put right by another shape changing Druid of Hempstead, sleep easy friend....tales that the undead creature was not properly destroyed are probably not true..though reports of groups of skeletons gathering on the outskirts of Spirit Dunes persist.
[18:54:17]
Storold Doesscha:
*Grumbles a little looking angry at the Town Crier*
[18:54:20]
Alleina Shiante:
*She smiles a little.* Storold, if you do not wish to have any help or don't want to listen to what I have to say, simply tell me. It saves time for both of us.
[18:54:36]
Alleina Shiante:
*She seems a bit too far away for the annoying sound of the towncrier to reach her!*
[18:54:44]
Storold Doesscha:
Well to be honest how are you trying to help right now?
[18:56:02]
Alleina Shiante:
*She lets out a deep sigh and murmurs for herself.* Hopeless... *She then says in a normal voice again.* How am I supposed to help you then?
[18:57:02]
Storold Doesscha:
Well what are you trying to do besides making me answer questions there are not really helping me because I don't understand their purpose
[19:00:05]
Alleina Shiante:
*She shakes her head.* I will ask no further questions as it is obviously wasted time. Your mind is clearly not working in the way I expect and hence whatever I try will do no good. To answer your last question... it is quite obvious that they now serve no purpose than to make the time pass.
[19:00:46]
Storold Doesscha:
Ehmm...?
[19:00:58]
Storold Doesscha:
**Looks even more confused*
[19:01:07]
Storold Doesscha:
Now you aren't making any sense at all
[19:01:29]
Storold Doesscha:
I try to politely ask what the questions are about and you shrug me off like that
[19:02:05]
Alleina Shiante:
I equally politely told you that you would not understand, or you would already have understood.
[19:02:16]
Storold Doesscha:
*Sighs*
[19:02:35]
Storold Doesscha:
You are trying to make me ask myself some questions by asking me some questions...
[19:02:57]
Storold Doesscha:
With those questions I should find some answer to my other questions which I am not asking myself
[19:03:18]
Alleina Shiante:
*She just shakes her head again.*
[19:03:47]
Storold Doesscha:
What then?
[19:04:01]
Storold Doesscha:
Trying to make my head implode with asking too many questions?
[19:05:02]
Alleina Shiante:
Just forget all what I've said, okay? *She closes her eyes for a few seconds before opening them again.*
[19:05:10]
Storold Doesscha:
No I wont
[19:05:36]
Storold Doesscha:
I refuse to since you were almost trying to insult me at some point which isn't what you usually do
[19:07:14]
Alleina Shiante:
*Her eyes narrows slightly.* And what exactly was the insult?
[19:08:13]
Storold Doesscha:
Well besides from laughing and almost lauging at me many times during this whole conversation....
[19:08:25]
Storold Doesscha:
I don't know what....
[19:11:15]
Alleina Shiante:
*She snorts again.* If you consider that an insult, then I'm not sure what exactly to say anymore. I just find your constant state of indecision most peculiar.
[19:11:51]
Storold Doesscha:
Well really... I can't do anything about it...
[19:11:59]
Storold Doesscha:
Too many questions and too few answers
[19:13:39]
Alleina Shiante:
Name just o... *She bits her lips and then shakes her head.* I did promise you no more questions, so my answer to that will be that that's self imposed as you do not ask them.
[19:14:13]
Storold Doesscha:
Well who should I ask?
[19:14:21]
Storold Doesscha:
I have no one to ask them as it is
[19:15:55]
Alleina Shiante:
Ask them to me in that case. I'm here and I'm not doing anything better than talking now.
[19:16:59]
Storold Doesscha:
Why haven't I been in Spellgard more often... Why did I just leave the church behind and only stood alone with Lucinda in my heart on the feild of battle
[19:17:42]
Alleina Shiante:
*She gives him another look of disbelief.* And you just said that you had no questions for yourself?
[19:18:21]
Storold Doesscha:
Well I doubt I would ever find a good answer to that, so I sort of gave up before I tried
[19:18:29]
Alleina Shiante:
*Even though she tried to formulate that in a matter-in-fact thing, it came out as a question...*
[19:21:37]
Alleina Shiante:
*She says acidly.* That sounds like a great idea to me. Giving up before trying, even though that particular source is the only one who can truly answer those questions. *She shakes her head and then regains the look she always seems to have, a slightly curious one.* Have you ever asked the question "why do I not have the answers to other questions?".
[19:21:46]
Alleina Shiante:
*asked yourself the question...
[19:23:05]
Storold Doesscha:
Well asking myself about this....
[19:23:16]
Storold Doesscha:
I just found a void... No real answer...
[19:24:08]
Alleina Shiante:
Storold, I believe I have found the core answer to all your problems. *She looks rather thoughtful suddenly.*
[19:39:03]
Storold Doesscha:
Hmm...?
[19:39:24]
Alleina Shiante:
*She looks rather lost in her own thoughts.*
[19:40:25]
Storold Doesscha:
Alleina?
[19:40:46]
Alleina Shiante:
Oh... *She shakes her head a few times.* Sorry..
[19:43:40]
Storold Doesscha:
So what was your answer?
[19:45:49]
Alleina Shiante:
I think you have to start take control of the wheel of your life and not just let the wind blow on your sails, taking you to where waves are floating towards. You cannot haven't got any answers, because... shall we say... fate was what put you into those positions, and not yourself. Had you been very clear to yourself...
[19:46:23]
Alleina Shiante:
That you wanted to be home, then the answer would have been "I was at home with my children", would it not?
[19:46:47]
Storold Doesscha:
**Nods a little
[19:48:18]
Alleina Shiante:
*She smiles a little.* Storold? Do you know what mother told me before? When I left Aeridin?
[19:48:21]
Storold Doesscha:
I wasn't at home with my children... I just choose not to do anything because it all seemed hopeless....
[19:48:30]
Storold Doesscha:
No I don't
[19:49:51]
Storold Doesscha:
And please let me know if you want to share
[19:49:53]
Alleina Shiante:
She said that she was content with my decision, regardless of staying or leaving. That what's most important was that I made the decision by myself. That I did what I believed was right, not was what Aeridin believed in... and not what mother herself thought was best.
[19:50:14]
Storold Doesscha:
*Sighs*
[19:50:33]
Storold Doesscha:
What if you don't really feel that either of the ways are going to be the right ones
[19:51:43]
Alleina Shiante:
Then just pick one randomly. As long as it's your own decision... *She smiles again, her voice softening considerably by now.* You do have my support.
[19:52:05]
Storold Doesscha:
*Sighs*I just.... Had everything....
[19:52:17]
Storold Doesscha:
Then it was taken away ten minutes later...
[19:54:06]
Alleina Shiante:
Did you really have everything? *She tilts her head.* Perhaps this is not as much punishment from Lucinda as you think, but rather also a wish of her for you to stand on your own legs. Either leaving, with a firm back, saying that's how I will continue and if one has to part ways, so be it.
[19:54:51]
Alleina Shiante:
Or stay, still holding one's head high, acknowledge what was done, that it won't be done again.
[20:15:28]
Storold Doesscha:
Maybe... It is just felt so good that people finally listened... But then I was reduced to what I am now... Loved by Lucinda... Just not the same way as before
[20:18:02]
Alleina Shiante:
*She shakes her head a little.* I don't think the love she gives has changed. Lucinda is the weave, she loves the weave, she holds dear everyone who holds the weave dear. *She smiles.* But just like a mother shouting at a child, it's done out of disappointment... actually, one could say the disappointment is comming from the love itself.
[20:19:34]
Storold Doesscha:
**Nods a little*Still... I have never been heard by the clergy before... They finally talked back to me... But to what use
[20:20:46]
Alleina Shiante:
You have to start taking the initiative. You cannot trust that people will come to you, you have to go to them instead. Not waiting for opportunities, but creating them yourself. *She smiles.*
[20:23:12]
Storold Doesscha:
But right now everything just seems even further from my reach... I was just put up to be heard and then I was dismissed without anything to hold on to
[20:26:39]
Alleina Shiante:
*She shakes her head.* You just found a step on your ladder broken, making you fall. But if you want to get up there still, you have to continue trying to climb. *She says simply.* Storold... you are giving up... don't do that.
[20:28:25]
Storold Doesscha:
Well I have every good reason to.... I stayed in years hoping for that meeting, when I finally got it I was stripped of my powers just after
[20:31:13]
Alleina Shiante:
*She puts her free hand on her chest, the child fallen asleep during their talking.*
[20:33:01]
Alleina Shiante:
I've been in the same position before, in a much more dire one also.
[20:33:20]
Alleina Shiante:
I had a very good reason to just lay down and die.
[20:33:33]
Storold Doesscha:
**Nods a little*Well why didn't you?
[20:34:02]
Alleina Shiante:
*She smiles a little.* I did.
[20:34:53]
Alleina Shiante:
But before I really did pass away, I was told not to.
[20:34:55]
Storold Doesscha:
How can you still be here then? It doesn't seem like you did to me
[20:37:02]
Storold Doesscha:
Told not to... I thought you were all alone... Really... Who wouldn't tell someone not to pass away
[20:38:06]
Storold Doesscha:
**Nods a little to Omer
[20:38:22]
Alleina Shiante:
I was alone, but a person found me. *She hugs both her arms around the little child.* I wasn't just told "don't die", mind you.
[20:38:31] Omer: *nods back*
[20:38:38]
Storold Doesscha:
**Nods slingly*
[20:38:59]
Storold Doesscha:
Well.... It isn't like I have thought of passing away completly.. Just fade from the world
[20:39:35]
Alleina Shiante:
That would very unlikely have worked. Instead, it was just a small step forward towards belief. Belief in someone else, in the world, that tomorrow would be a greater day... and most importantly, belief in myself, that I can continue on, that perhaps to lay down wasn't the best path to take.
[20:40:58]
Storold Doesscha:
**Nods a little*
[20:42:31]
Storold Doesscha:
Well I just feel I have come to a dead end.... No ways up or down... Left or right... Just a void where I can keep myself untill my fate will be decided... Nothing I can comtrol here... Just wait
[20:43:50]
Alleina Shiante:
*She smiles.* Try to open your eyes.
[20:44:06]
Storold Doesscha:
They are open... I see the Hempstead main square
[20:44:15] Your soul is bound at Bindstone to Lucinda in Blackford Castle - Temple of Lucinda.
[20:44:15] Your character has been automatically saved.
[20:45:36]
Alleina Shiante:
Not those two eyes, silly. The ones that are giving you the feeling of a dead end.
[20:48:09]
Storold Doesscha:
Well what is there to see.... Trier removing the magic from my amulet and myself under Lucindas orders
[20:50:08]
Storold Doesscha:
My whole world just stopped there... I had been told that everything was going to be alright I would have my filed reviewed by Trier and I could make suggestions... Then I got told that I wasn't acting disciplined enough for all the powers I had
[20:50:35]
Alleina Shiante:
Trier...?
[20:50:42]
Alleina Shiante:
*She looks puzzled.*
[20:51:20]
Storold Doesscha:
You know... The weavestrike, the commander of the Protectors
[20:51:34]
Alleina Shiante:
Ah...
[20:51:56]
Alleina Shiante:
*She nods a few times and then murmurs.* Mother hasn't told me about the non-priest side of the church...
[20:52:19]
Storold Doesscha:
**Nods a little*
[20:53:57]
Storold Doesscha:
Well there was a lot of them... All over the meeting room...
[20:54:16]
Storold Doesscha:
Standing guard and all... I thought there was something important going on...
[20:54:32]
Alleina Shiante:
*She scratches her head.* There obviously was.
[20:54:50]
Storold Doesscha:
*Sighs*They could just have sent a letter
[20:55:42]
Alleina Shiante:
You could have sent your wedding ring to Mylindra in a letter also... *She smiles a little before becomming more serious again.* Some things are done face to face.
[20:56:35]
Storold Doesscha:
**Nods a little*I just need more meeting with them
[20:57:53]
Alleina Shiante:
*She nods to that.*
[20:57:58]
Storold Doesscha:
But well....
[20:58:14]
Storold Doesscha:
I guess that isn't any of their concern anymore.... They have done enough now
[20:59:50]
Alleina Shiante:
*She nods again.* I'm sure everything will fix itself sooner or later, as long as you just do something.
[21:01:30]
Storold Doesscha:
Well....
[21:01:53]
Storold Doesscha:
Right now I just feel like... Going there to do something... Yet there is nothing
[21:03:44]
Alleina Shiante:
*She smiles when pulling a canteen out, drinking thirstly from it.* You are giving up before you even try again.
[21:03:58]
Storold Doesscha:
Well I can go there... Sit around...
[21:04:23]
Storold Doesscha:
Talk a bit... But it doesn't seem much use to me
[21:04:31]
Alleina Shiante:
Moment... *She walks away to fill her empty canteens.*
[21:05:43]
Alleina Shiante:
Perhaps your solution doesn't steem from talking this time, but instead a probing of your belief in your own heart? A conversation you have with Lucinda herself... although... of course, it's doubtful if she answers...
[21:06:00]
Storold Doesscha:
*Sighs*
[21:06:28]
Storold Doesscha:
I should just go do what I use to do... Gather something because we need it... Lucinda needs nothing furhter from me
[21:08:10]
Alleina Shiante:
If that's what you think is best... *She nods a little.*
[21:08:29]
Storold Doesscha:
I know it isn't
[21:09:56]
Storold Doesscha:
But what is best.... Well it just seems so far from what I would do
[21:10:38]
Alleina Shiante:
If it's not what you would do, then perhaps it's not the best?
[21:10:59]
Storold Doesscha:
*Shrugs*
[21:11:09]
Storold Doesscha:
I think it is... And I would do it...
[21:12:44]
Alleina Shiante:
You are starting to contradict yourself, really. You are saying about doing one thing, but thinking that it would be best to do another. If you just do what you think, I'm sure you would have a much more desireable result.
[21:13:01]
Storold Doesscha:
**Nods a little*
[21:13:25]
Storold Doesscha:
I have just done most of the things I can do so far... So I am unsure about what to do when I step into the city...
[21:14:20]
Alleina Shiante:
*She scratches her head.* I'm not so overly sure of what I would do either...
[21:14:40]
Storold Doesscha:
That is why I never stayed for long
[21:15:09]
Storold Doesscha:
I have investigated every roumor and place outside the church
[21:15:13]
Alleina Shiante:
Perhaps you should speak with Tristan when he comes back from his assignment? *She smiles a little.* He might have some suggestions for you.
[21:15:22]
Storold Doesscha:
*Shakes his head*
[21:15:26]
Storold Doesscha:
I should know...
[21:15:34]
Storold Doesscha:
*Sounds slightly annoyed*
[21:16:04]
Alleina Shiante:
*She tilts her head once more.*
[21:16:09]
Storold Doesscha:
I have been there for way longer than he has... I have served for as long as I can remeber now...
[21:16:39]
Storold Doesscha:
Still I have nothing there that makes me needed... I am more needed in Hempstead than Spellgard
[21:18:28]
Alleina Shiante:
You may have served longer than he, but I believe Tristan has much closer ties to Spellgard than you have. He was born there, he has lived there. *She smiles.*
[21:18:47]
Storold Doesscha:
Well really...
[21:19:48]
Storold Doesscha:
I don't feel at home there because I feel neglected... I feel like I have been left behind somehow... Just sent out from there pretty fast to Blackford and after that I moved in with Mylindra
[21:20:48]
Alleina Shiante:
Hm.. I'm not really sure what I can comment on that...
[21:21:56]
Storold Doesscha:
Well... I guess no one is
[21:22:05]
Storold Doesscha:
Not even the people in Spellgard
[21:23:52]
Alleina Shiante:
*She nods a little.*
[21:24:01]
Storold Doesscha:
Really...
[21:24:48]
Storold Doesscha:
I guess I should just get going...
[21:25:02]
Storold Doesscha:
Only place I can find some answers to my other questions
[21:26:22]
Alleina Shiante:
*She nods again.*
[21:26:45]
Storold Doesscha:
*Stands slowly*
[21:26:53]
Storold Doesscha:
Stay safe Alleina and thank you for your time
[21:27:16]
Alleina Shiante:
*She nods once more while smiling and waving slightly.* Have a pleasant evening, Storold.

//This pretty much sums one of Storolds biggest problems up.
"Alleina Shiante: I think you have to start take control of the wheel of your life and not just let the wind blow on your sails, taking you to where waves are floating towards. You cannot haven't got any answers, because... shall we say... fate was what put you into those positions, and not yourself. Had you been very clear to yourself..."
He has never been able to take any control over his life unless he has bee pushed into making some sort of stand or that he simply has seen the light after a lot of thinking.
This is something that should change since he isn't supposed to be weak and fickle when he is done with his WLDQ. Although many events in his life has made him used to serving without question and later(when he appeared IG) helping without it.
He has decided though to stay with the church since he believes firmly in the teachings of the Lady and her visions for a better world. He will from now on seek new ways to serve based on what he has done so far and what he thinks would please Lucinda and help the weave in the end.
So far he has spend most of his time in the field researching wild and no magic zones around the world, the Dark Peaks of the Watchers(most of his focus has been there), the Rift, the ruins of the broken and recently the Thunderpeaks.
For now he would focus more inwards on the church, spending more time in Spellgard, talking and doing other things with the people there since that is something he has been doing way too little before, not as in not having done before just too little compared to what he has done other places. Anyhow back to IC posting//

*Storold walks to Spellgard after talking to Alleina. When he finds his way inside the gates he heads straight for the temple. He spends the first hours looking restlessly about in the temple pacing and sitting. After some time he walks slowly up to Clarielil and clears his throat*
Storold:
*Looks nerveously at Clari, but speaks after taking a deep breath*
"Hello miss Clarielil, do you know... If someone needs any help around here..."
*Looks down just after saying this trying to hide his face in shame, not over asking but rather because of something else*
Clarielil:
*She looks oddly although smiling brightly at Storold*
"Hello Storold, I am glad you have returned. How was the meeting? I never saw you leave after it"
Storold:
*He kicks his boot sighing*
"I don't really... Want to talk about that, at least not now..."
Clarielil:
*Looks concerned at Storold but nods knowingly to herself without Storold noticing((I assume that she knows the chant in the temple and knew what happened to Storold))*
"Storold..."
*A short pause follows where Clarielil seems to be at a loss of words but very soon she recovers pulling a quill and a piece of parcment out from somewhere near*
"Guess what, I need a letter delivered to my friend in the desert. I haven't seen him for a long time, you remember the wizard who lives in the tower with the pink roof, can you please deliever this message for me?"
*she smiles at Storold while quickly penning down a formal letter asking how he is and such with a few comments about recent events in Spellgard*
Storold:
*He takes the note with a little smile and says goodbye to Clarielil heading out of the temple with his head high heading towards the desert on a known path to the tower with the pink roof*
*After some time in the desert and a visit to the wizard Storold uses his tome to get home to spend soe time with his children, seemingly more at ease than he was before*

[20:23:10]
Storold Doesscha:
**Waves*
[20:23:46]
Eander Shalynn:
*waves in return with a smile* Sorry.... I am abit lost in dreams these daysdd
[20:23:52]
Storold Doesscha:
Hmm?
[20:24:06]
Storold Doesscha:
No need to be sorry.. I am just minding my own business reading a book
[20:24:40]
Eander Shalynn:
I see.... will not bother you then, eh? *grins*
[20:24:55]
Storold Doesscha:
*Smiles a little*Really you aren't bothering me at all
[20:25:01]
Storold Doesscha:
There are always time to read
[20:25:40]
Eander Shalynn:
*shrugs* cant tell.... dont read too much myself
[20:25:58]
Storold Doesscha:
Well it is very usefull, it teaches me all sorts of new things...
[20:26:12]
Storold Doesscha:
Spells, names and histories and so on
[20:26:30]
Eander Shalynn:
*steps abit closer so he has not to yell all the time*
[20:27:10]
Eander Shalynn:
*nods* Yes... true... This will be the point why I am bad with that *laughs abit*
[20:27:42]
Storold Doesscha:
Well it is very usefull for figuring out where you are from time to time too...
[20:27:53]
Storold Doesscha:
And maps... I really like them
[20:29:18]
Eander Shalynn:
Helpfull indeed....
[20:29:58]
Eander Shalynn:
Say.... I saw you with Alleina and her baby...you arent the father of this cute tiny baby, are you?
[20:30:17]
Storold Doesscha:
*Chuckles lightly*Mylindra would kill me in that case
[20:30:44]
Eander Shalynn:
Mylindra... oh... your whife?
[20:30:44]
Storold Doesscha:
And if you don't know Mylindra is my wife and the woman who gave me three beautiful children of my own
[20:31:22]
Storold Doesscha:
So no, the person repsosible for that would be Tristan another...*Sighs quietly saying this although he smiles a little after*Protector
[20:31:34]
Eander Shalynn:
Three?..... it sems everyone has children except me
[20:31:54]
Eander Shalynn:
Protector....of the weave?
[20:31:59]
Storold Doesscha:
Well you know.. They usually come when you least expect it
[20:32:13]
Storold Doesscha:
**Nods a little*Yes he is a protector of the weave too
[20:32:18]
Eander Shalynn:
*chuckless at his comment*
[20:32:56]
Eander Shalynn:
Well... dont be offended, but aggainst whom or what do you protect the weave?
[20:34:36]
Storold Doesscha:
From people or items that seeks to harm it
[20:34:58]
Eander Shalynn:
How can one harm the weave?
[20:35:35]
Storold Doesscha:
Well I can show you how it looks when you have done it... However I wouldn't show you how to do it since that would be against everything that I believe in
[20:36:47]
Eander Shalynn:
Oh sure... I understand...it is just that the weave seems that abstract to me, having only very little knowledge and power about it.... was just wondering...but...how does it look?
[20:37:16]
Eander Shalynn:
When you harmed it I mean....
[20:37:45]
Storold Doesscha:
Well imagine something like your cloak woven from fine strands of all kinds of magic
[20:38:04]
Eander Shalynn:
*looks at his cloak closely*
[20:38:05] Essel Peacewind: heh...f-forgot to buy pepper
[20:38:59]
Eander Shalynn:
*than nods slowly*
[20:39:11]
Storold Doesscha:
Then imagine if you somehow tear it... Either by ripping it appart completly or by simply just attempting to do so and failing... Leaving a weak and disturbed pattern
[20:39:34]
Eander Shalynn:
Hm... a even a hole maybe?
[20:40:03]
Storold Doesscha:
Yes that was what I meant by ripping completly
[20:40:57]
Storold Doesscha:
But just imaging a disturbed pattern... Something you can't make sense of...
[20:40:58]
Eander Shalynn:
AI was in an area near the warrioir falls at dreagar....noone was ablt to cast a spell there successfully.... Is this because someone harmed the waeve?
[20:41:11]
Storold Doesscha:
I am not completly sure...
[20:41:41]
Storold Doesscha:
I have explored bits and parts of it but never enough to completly figure out what happened
[20:42:06]
Eander Shalynn:
*Nods slowly* I see.... but who would do things like that....and why?
[20:42:08]
Storold Doesscha:
Although not all places has a long history about someone who tore the wear appart or broke its patern somehow
[20:42:57]
Storold Doesscha:
Well not all places where the weave doesn't work are really weave less... They are rather protections set up by powerfull mage to prevent people from using magic against them
[20:43:25]
Storold Doesscha:
Although this is also highly against everything I believe in since you should always allow the weave to flow freely
[20:43:55]
Eander Shalynn:
hm.... and what happens if the patterns as you called them are disturbed?
[20:44:12]
Storold Doesscha:
Some are results of simply time and others are a result of very powerful event taking place on the given location that caused the weave to break
[20:45:33]
Storold Doesscha:
Well then two things can happen...
[20:45:47]
Storold Doesscha:
Either the weave gets ripped so much that it gets removed
[20:46:45]
Storold Doesscha:
Or it gets streached and disorganised... Much like a tear building up in your cloak, although not excatly tearing a hole there just slowly removing the patern and thread from the area
[20:46:46]
Eander Shalynn:
*looks into his pack a grabs a piece of meat leading it to his mouth but stops closely before reaching it and looks at storold* Er... you wont mind me eating, do you?
[20:47:22]
Storold Doesscha:
Magic go wild in those areas so you can't really rely on your manipulations of the weave yelding the right result and now at all
[20:48:50] Essel Peacewind: Hello
[20:48:56]
Storold Doesscha:
Hello sir
[20:48:57]
Eander Shalynn:
Hey essel!
[20:49:14]
Eander Shalynn:
*nods to storolds explanations* intrestint indeed
[20:49:29] Essel Peacewind: *looks at Eander's cooked meat* p-perhaps you'd like some deer r-roast? f-fresh out of the oven
[20:49:44] Essel Peacewind: a-and you too s-sir? *to Storold* w-would you like some as w-well?
[20:49:58]
Eander Shalynn:
Oh... you made it on your own?
[20:50:03] Essel Peacewind: *nods*
[20:50:10]
Storold Doesscha:
*Smiles a little*No thank you, I don't need any food right now
[20:50:16]
Eander Shalynn:
I would be glad to taste some
[20:50:22] Essel Peacewind: *nods* a-alright
[20:50:40] Essel Peacewind: enjoy
[20:51:11]
Eander Shalynn:
*smells at it* Hmmmm... if it taste like it smells it will be delicious!
[20:51:40] Essel Peacewind: *smiles*
[20:51:53]
Eander Shalynn:
*starts to cut a slice and eats it slowly*
[20:52:06] Essel Peacewind: n-now, if you'll e-excuse me, I think I j-just saw Godim w-walk by....w-wondering if I c-could ask him to do something f-for me..
[20:52:21] Essel Peacewind: *waves* I'll b-be back later
[20:52:30]
Eander Shalynn:
mhm *with his mouth halffull* Sure.... farewell essel
[20:52:34]
Storold Doesscha:
Stay safe sir
[20:52:43] Essel Peacewind: *nods* you too sir
[20:52:43]
Eander Shalynn:
Really good.... really
[20:52:53] Essel Peacewind: heh, be c-careful eating now
[20:53:55]
Eander Shalynn:
Well..... if the magic becomes wild.... what does that mean...My healing spell would possibly harm my friend?
[20:54:39]
Storold Doesscha:
Well it is pretty unpredictable what happens when you cast, sometimes it does the intended others it does something very random
[20:55:07]
Eander Shalynn:
So that would be possible...that it harms my friend instead of healing?
[20:55:31]
Storold Doesscha:
Yes or creates an explosion... Or something else
[20:55:43]
Eander Shalynn:
Hells....
[20:57:05]
Eander Shalynn:
*looks to at first to storold than to the free seat besides him abit unsure steps closer and finally sits down besides storold slowly* Well....
[20:57:30]
Eander Shalynn:
May I asked you something different...more private maybe?
[20:57:33]
Storold Doesscha:
Well besides from the very bad tear in the weave it is pretty dangerous to travel in such areas due to the unpredictability of what happens around you
[20:57:41]
Storold Doesscha:
Hmmm...?
[20:58:47]
Eander Shalynn:
Nothing dire...no worries.....You said you have thre children and.... I was Just wondering what it is like...being father you know?
*After this Storold and Eander discusses a bit about children and Eander tells Storold about his girlfriend who he is to marry in three months. After Eander leaves Storold sits a bit in Hempstead before he prepared to travel to Krashin to get Sapphires for heal potions for a journey explained later.*
[23:36:49]
Storold Doesscha:
*Mumbles a short prayer to Lucinda*
*Storold kneels and extends his senses to the weave, him being in a safeish tunnel down inside the ice with a fire next to him. He shuts everything out for a few minutes and just sits there observing the changes and patterns of the weave*
[23:40:28]
Storold Doesscha:
Lady of the weave please enlighten me in the wonders of your weave and allow me to gain more insight in the workings of the weave without controling the whole or knowing it, but continueing to walk the path of enlightment and wonder towards greater magic
[23:43:11]
Storold Doesscha:
*Focuses on his spellbook and rememorizes the spells he has used today*
*Later Storold meets Sala outside Haven and heads to her house there for a talk about life and exchange of keys to houses. Here Storolds expedition gets explained more detailed, plus he learns a few things.*
[00:39:10]
Sala Stonehill:
I'm thinking of taking up scribing again
[00:39:22]
Storold Doesscha:
Ohh... Have you been scribing before?
[00:39:31]
Sala Stonehill:
Yes, long ago.
[00:39:46]
Sala Stonehill:
I can make third level scrolls fairly well
[00:39:48]
Storold Doesscha:
Mmm... I scribe a little every now and then
[00:40:09]
Storold Doesscha:
Just never got around to make any signifigant progress since it takes a lot of time
[00:40:33]
Sala Stonehill:
Yes, it does, and many of the things needed are the same things Jako needs.
[00:40:44]
Storold Doesscha:
What does Jako make?
[00:40:57]
Sala Stonehill:
He's a very good alchemist
[00:41:31]
Sala Stonehill:
He can make potions of full heal pretty reliably
[00:41:34]
Storold Doesscha:
Ohh... That is really neat... I have practiced a lot myself, right now I am collecting potions for a major expedition
[00:41:43]
Sala Stonehill:
Oh?
[00:41:50]
Sala Stonehill:
Where are you going?
[00:42:23]
Storold Doesscha:
Well I heard about an expedition into the Thunderpeaks... I hope to find some answers there.... But first I have to focus on the church though
[00:42:37]
Sala Stonehill:
I see
[00:43:12]
Sala Stonehill:
I've been into the Thunderpeaks a couple of times
[00:43:22]
Sala Stonehill:
It's a terrifying place
[00:43:41]
Sala Stonehill:
Would you like to sit on the couch?
[00:43:49]
Storold Doesscha:
**Nods a little*It is a horrible place... In some ways worse than the places I have seen around the world
[00:44:07]
Storold Doesscha:
*Smiles*Sure if I am not intruding on anything
[00:44:13]
Sala Stonehill:
Not at all
[00:44:54]
Sala Stonehill:
Come sit down
[00:45:34]
Sala Stonehill:
What answers do you think you might find in the Thunderpeaks?
[00:45:59]
Storold Doesscha:
Not really sure... Hopefully more than Brualot was able to find in the Ruins on Corsain
[00:46:18]
Sala Stonehill:
hmm...
[00:46:40]
Sala Stonehill:
Maybe I should have asked, "What is the question?"
[00:47:15]
Storold Doesscha:
Yeah... I hired him to investigate the place, but sadly the answers he came up with was limited... Something must have sparked a tear in the weave which has grown in time, the event itself aren't famous enough to be recorded in history it seems
[00:47:45]
Storold Doesscha:
What made the place like it is, what broke the weave there and how can we restore it
[00:48:14]
Sala Stonehill:
I was told that the runes on the throne room wall are at least part of the reason there is no magic, and yet...
[00:48:26]
Storold Doesscha:
**Nods a little*
[00:48:33]
Sala Stonehill:
Magic works within the giants' tower
[00:48:53]
Sala Stonehill:
It's not much use, because they dispell it right away, but it works
[00:49:34]
Storold Doesscha:
Well... It could be a ward set up by the giant king... But I somehow doubt they have the power to make a ward that strong and wide, let alone allowing the ward to shield others without the others paying them for it
[00:50:31]
Sala Stonehill:
Well, the speculation was that they wanted to be the only ones able to use magic in their realm
[00:50:37]
Storold Doesscha:
Depends.... They dispell magic on you that is true... However they can't dispell the things cast on themselves, so you have to be strong offensive there to get them down... And one other thing, you can never dispell a heal spell
[00:51:05]
Sala Stonehill:
*smiles* very true
[00:52:07]
Sala Stonehill:
I bought some of those healer's gloves that Driggles sells, just so I could be useful on the trip.
[00:52:15]
Storold Doesscha:
And why would they not protect the borders of their realm better than having undead walking below it and lots of bandits and trollocs running around in the nearby mountains
[00:52:33]
Sala Stonehill:
That's a good question
[00:52:59]
Sala Stonehill:
And those werewolf creatures!
[00:53:35]
Storold Doesscha:
Of course they pose no immidiate threat to the giants... But in time they might grow as powerfull as the trolloc tribes in the great forest and threaten the giants
[00:53:56]
Sala Stonehill:
I suppose
[00:54:17]
Storold Doesscha:
Yes the werewolves too.... However we have seen something we suppose to be a giant raid on the yeties in the mountains....
[00:54:37]
Sala Stonehill:
Interesting!
[00:56:25]
Storold Doesscha:
Indeed... We never really found out what happened... Just a lot of dead yeties and a few survivors... And a very strong giant
[00:56:37]
Storold Doesscha:
However none of those are any more
[00:56:51]
Sala Stonehill:
You had to kill the giant?
[00:57:18]
Storold Doesscha:
Well it was sort of running at us with its weapon ready to strike... Almost killed Angela and Jacc
[00:57:39]
Sala Stonehill:
Yes, of course you had to kill it!
[00:58:17]
Storold Doesscha:
Yeah... Sadly no answers was gained there... Just many more questions
[00:58:48]
Sala Stonehill:
Sounds like it's going to be an exciting expedition
[00:58:57]
Storold Doesscha:
But I guess I should stop worrying about the cause of this being the tear in the weave in the Great Rift expanding into the mountains
[00:59:14]
Sala Stonehill:
Oh, my!
[00:59:30]
Sala Stonehill:
Getting worse you mean?
[00:59:38]
Storold Doesscha:
Well hearing your story I somehow doubt it, do you mind telling me who told you this?
[01:00:02]
Storold Doesscha:
Well there are new tunnels opened down there, haven't you been down there since that happened?
[01:00:08]
Sala Stonehill:
Hmm, I think it was Abijorn
[01:00:23]
Sala Stonehill:
Yes, it was very different.
[01:00:25]
Storold Doesscha:
The gnome sorceror?
[01:00:48]
Sala Stonehill:
no...
[01:00:56]
Sala Stonehill:
Let me think
[01:00:58]
Storold Doesscha:
Hmmm...?
[01:02:11]
Sala Stonehill:
Yes, I think it was he
[01:02:40]
Storold Doesscha:
The gnome sorceres?
[01:02:48]
Storold Doesscha:
Ehmm.. Sorcerer...
[01:02:49]
Sala Stonehill:
yes
[01:02:55]
Storold Doesscha:
Ahh.. Okay...
[01:03:04]
Storold Doesscha:
I haven't seen him in ages..
[01:03:42]
Sala Stonehill:
No! No, it was Ket...
[01:04:40]
Storold Doesscha:
Ahh.... Okay... I haven't talked all that much with him lately but I see him every now and then
[01:05:05]
Sala Stonehill:
I spent the whole trip quaking with terror, so it was hard to pay attention
[01:06:18]
Storold Doesscha:
Well.... I have only been up there once... And it almost cost me my live.. It is very dangerous
[01:07:02]
Sala Stonehill:
Yes, it's terribly dangerous. I didn't try to fight, just shot a few arrows and tried to keep people alive.
[01:07:27]
Storold Doesscha:
**Nods a little*Well I just try to stay alive but that is hard enough
[01:07:54]
Storold Doesscha:
Usually I stay a bit behind to observe and make sure everyone is following
[01:08:19]
Sala Stonehill:
I need to make more enhancements, though. Often ordinary arrows seem to bounce off their thick hides. It takes magic to hurt them.
[01:08:23]
Storold Doesscha:
But well... I don't travel there often... I have other places there are equally important to me
[01:08:39]
Storold Doesscha:
**Nods a little*
[01:08:59]
Storold Doesscha:
I need to be better at fighting with a sword... I am terrible really without my spells
[01:09:08]
Sala Stonehill:
I got this dress there. It's a Lady's Gift
[01:09:50]
Storold Doesscha:
Ohh... That is wonderfull... I have one myself I wear on occation
[01:09:57]
Storold Doesscha:
I just don't....
[01:10:05]
Storold Doesscha:
*Sighs and looks into the fire*
[01:10:27]
Sala Stonehill:
Do you think this room is too crowded?
[01:10:49]
Storold Doesscha:
**shakes his head*No, no not at all...
[01:11:37]
Sala Stonehill:
I think it might make a nice little apartment for someone to rent, once I place some furniture elsewhere
[01:11:38] You are feeling a bit thirsty.
[01:11:56]
Sala Stonehill:
I just stay so busy...
[01:12:28]
Storold Doesscha:
Hmm...? SOmething troubeling you?
[01:13:26]
Sala Stonehill:
No, not really
[01:13:58]
Storold Doesscha:
Well some times you can stay too busy
[01:14:23]
Sala Stonehill:
True
[01:14:38]
Storold Doesscha:
So if you need any help just ask I am here to help the clergy out
[01:15:02]
Sala Stonehill:
*smiles* Thanks, Storold
[01:15:20]
Storold Doesscha:
*Smiles a little*No need to thank me it is what I do
[01:15:49]
Sala Stonehill:
Well, I could really use some gemstones, next time we are all out and about.
[01:16:12]
Sala Stonehill:
Topaz and fire opal
[01:16:23]
Storold Doesscha:
What kind of gemst... Ahhh...
[01:16:36]
Sala Stonehill:
Sapphire, too, although Jako and I can get that on Krashin
[01:16:44]
Storold Doesscha:
Well those would be easy for me to help you get
[01:16:53]
Storold Doesscha:
And well I need sapphires too for my potions
[01:16:59]
Sala Stonehill:
I'd appreciate it.
*Storold and Sala finishes their conversation and Storold heads out with Sala and Jako later to find the gems Sala needs. After that he goes home to see to his children. After some time at home he kisses Mylindra and the children goodbye before strapping his bags on his back again to visit Spellgard.*

*Storold walks into Spellgard again this time more determined that during his last visit to town he heads straight for the protectors headquarters. He look the message board over for anything he should be aware of but doesn't really find anything of interest, as he doesn't find anything special besides some note about weapon training at the training outside Spellgard on the training grounds he decides to head out there.
After finding his way there and apoligizing for being a tad late since he just noticed the note about the training just as he walked in. However the instructor gets started on his instructions and shows a few basic moves and some defences against them, just basic swordsmanship. After a while the people start sparring against eachother and Storold stands there pretty lost since he doesn't really have a partner due to the fact that he missed he would need one for todays session.
The instructor walks up to the seemingly lost Storold to have a few words with him...*
Instructor:
*Nods politely to Storold smiling as he walks closer*
"Hello sir, are you new in the order? I haven't seen you here before at least."
Storold:
*Looks down and kicks his boot uncomfortably*
"Well... It has been a while since I have practiced here."
Instructor:
*He grins a little*
"You are one of those protectors from the chapters, right. Been burrying yourself too much in books lately?"
Storold:
*Looks up again smiling a little seeming to regain his normalish mood*
"You could say that... But I think the main reason is that I haven't really been around town. But I must say your tecnique is interesting."
Instructor:
*Frowns looking Storold over(Storold is in his normal dire tiger armor)*
"Mmm... Thank you, although you don't really seem much of a fighter yourself. How would you even know about the finer arts of fighting if you haven't been here?"
Storold:
*Smiles slightly tapping the hilt of his rapier in a non threatening way pondering a bit*
"Well... I have picked up a few things along the way I am a protector after all, so I am not merely a scholar."
Instructor:
*He eyes Storolds fingers and the rapiers hilt then looks to Storold*
"Well you could spar against me for the time being, but be aware that I have trained for quite a while and well... My plate is way more protective than your clothing there"
*As most of the others present there he is wearing a fullplate armor colored with a due that makes it shiny blue*
Storold:
*Nods a little and takes out a shield with a bright blue glow from his pack*
"I will be fine don't worry about me I don't rely on only my armor for protection"*Takes out his rapier as well revealing the electrically crackling blade to the instructor*
Instructor:
*Smiles a little to himself taking out his shortsword from the scabbard, and picking his shield up from the ground*
"Well show me what you picked up then..."
*Storold and the instructor spars untill noon where everyone returns to Spellgard for food and refreshments and other duties around town. Amazingly enough Storold manages to show off quite a few moves that the instructor didn't expect a protector being capable of, plus he seems more agile while fighting than his fellow protectors using his feet and dodging the blows in a rather non-fullplateish way. Although no winner could be declared Storold clearly impressed the instructor with his skills since Storold fought in a very unconventional style compared to the things the instructor has taught his students.*
//Storold has 21 tumble ((In his armor and with his shoes, 16 as base)) and can dodge and move around in combat quite nimbly this way. Plus he has 12 dex which makes him slightly more agile than most.//
*After the noon break Storold returns to the tower to talk to a few members of the Broken Rune and some of the Protectors from the chapter of Protection who are also studying there. After having spoken to them for several hours he moves back to the protectors headquarters and puts up a note with a bright smile on his face*
"Storold Doesscha, protector of the weave in the chapter of protection will be giving a few lectures for the interested, subject will mostly concern the abjurational part of the weave but will give a good basis for working to improve your senses for the weave and maybe also your casting the slightest bit
*Signed*Storold Doesscha"
*After this Storold says goodbye to his fellow protectors and uses his tome to get home to Mylindra and the children again for supper*

*After a long day with his children and some time in Hempstead with some of his friends Storold finds himself helping a female dwarf with findingsome some cured leather to cast her spells. After having cured a deer skin for her he moves outside the gates to cook the meat that they have taken off the deer. Here he meets Clarissa...*
[05:48:26]
Clarissa:
*waves and bows and hands Storold the note*
[05:48:36]
Storold Doesscha:
Would you mind showing miss Dwila here the sewers?
[05:49:02]
Storold Doesscha:
I know they are quite nasty but I have business in spellgard soon so I can't do it
[05:49:03] Timulty Keel: If you think I would be of service in that regard.
[05:49:17] Dwila Naldukr: *starts realizing she dropped off*
[05:49:25] Timulty Keel: Ah. If you're in Spellgard, could you check up on that helm?
[05:49:27]
Clarissa:
*smiles*
[05:49:38]
Storold Doesscha:
Sure I can try to do that Timulty
[05:49:40] Timulty Keel: I'm getting rather tired of shadowy figures breathing down my neck, proverbially or otherwise.
[05:49:45] Dwila Naldukr: *smiles daftly*
[05:50:09]
Storold Doesscha:
Dwila, would you like to see the sewers where you can find skins for making your own leather?
[05:50:22] Dwila Naldukr: Yes I wont breath down your neck either cause i cant reach *giggles*
[05:50:37] Timulty Keel: Good lass.
[05:50:45]
Clarissa : [Tell]
The note says when you get a moment she would like to talk to you about why you told Rose you can't help with the breaking of her curse
[05:50:57] Dwila Naldukr: Thank you very much for all your help.
[05:51:13]
Storold Doesscha:
*Storold looks the note over frowning at Clarissa for handing it over*
[05:51:27]
Storold Doesscha:
You are most welcome do ask if you need help later
[05:51:37] Timulty Keel: *nods* Alright.
[05:51:38] Dwila Naldukr: *salutes* On ward Sah!
[05:51:45] Timulty Keel: Very well.
[05:51:50] Dwila Naldukr: *smiles*
[05:51:56]
Storold Doesscha:
*Grumbles looking at CLarissa*
[05:51:57]
Clarissa:
*cocks her head sideways at Storold*
[05:52:16]
Storold Doesscha:
I would never go against the wishes of Lucinda
[05:52:33]
Clarissa:
*nods*
[05:52:58]
Clarissa:
*waits for him to explain further*
[05:53:44]
Storold Doesscha:
I know that her ways are the only ones right and I shouldn't question them, that you choose to follow someone who Lucinda clearly doesn't care about at all but rather wishes the worst makes me unable to see the greater good in helping you out
[05:54:16]
Clarissa:
*scribbles a note and hands it to Storold*
[05:54:51]
Storold Doesscha:
*Grumbles while she scribes*I should have know when I meet Tristen all off them are like that deep down...
[05:54:53]
Clarissa : [Tell]
It says, but why the sudden change? We have always been able to work together before?
[05:55:40]
Storold Doesscha:
Working together and aiding are two different things, I would not go against LUcindas wishes and aid her enemies
[05:55:49]
Clarissa:
*looks at him with a questioning look*
[05:56:31]
Storold Doesscha:
Me curing you of this curse would help you wouldn't it? While catching the Welkes for example is for the greater good...
[05:56:41]
Storold Doesscha:
I don't even know why I should explain this....
[05:56:50]
Clarissa:
*gets a bit frustrated and writes another note and hands it to him*
[05:56:59]
Storold Doesscha:
*Seems to grow more and more angry just by Clarissas pressence*
[05:57:18]
Clarissa : [Tell]
So letting a darkelf mage curse people at will is for the greater good?
[05:57:37]
Storold Doesscha:
No... But not helping you is
[05:57:53]
Clarissa:
*looks very confused*
[05:58:09]
Storold Doesscha:
I can help you though, if you decide that serving Toran isn't the path you want to follow
[05:58:19]
Clarissa:
*scoffs*
[05:58:26]
Storold Doesscha:
I have choosen mine, but you can freely choose what you want to fight for
[05:59:03]
Clarissa:
*writes a note and hands it to him before turning and walking away*
[05:59:12]
Storold Doesscha:
I have nothing further to say about this, I will keep my eyes out in case the dark elf pops up so I can bring her to justice for her other crimes
[05:59:27]
Clarissa : [Tell]
I thought more of you than this.
[05:59:33]
Storold Doesscha:
*Sighs*
*After this Storold travels through Leringard to Storans crypt to get his mind off things. Eventually he makes his way to Spellgard as he intended...*

*Storold bumps into some of the protectors he met the day before, seemingly in a quite bad mood due to the events outside Hempstead. After a small chat Storold tells them what he did and they all nod a little understanding to him as he explains what he has been through with Clarissa not apoligizing but rather stating things as they were. But his conclusion on all of it is this...*
Storold:
*Clears his throat after looking down for a while contemplating*
"But at the end of the day, what is a friendship with someone who lives to serve someone who Lucinda wishes the worst for worth compared to the friends I have found here. Not much I say, if she refuses to see that she is only getting herself into more trouble by denying the fact that she is the faulty one for wishing evil on Lucinda and letting me sacrifice what I believe in for her personal gain she isn't much of a friend after all... However I hope she will see the light soon enough"
*After a few pads on the back they move on to study a bit in the arcane tower before they heard to the training grounds for more training untill it is time for Storold to head home to his family again*

*The next few days Storold spends his time in Spellgard and home mostly focusing on training and trying to take on some bigger challenges than before, mostly regarding magic trying to tell his fellow protectors in the chapter of protection about his observations during his travels and instruct some of the clergy in scribing, enchanting and infusion.
Other than that his days end by getting home to his family trying to catch Mylindra at home and tak to the children every so often. But mostly he is only home when the supper is served and he leaves very early in the morning to make sure he doesn't miss anything at Spellgard.*

*Storold sits at home sorting some letters he has gotten from various places, mostly from Spellgard where he has stayed away from for quite a while when he suddenly finds a letter very different from the others*
"Storold,
I haven't seen you much lately and I can understand how you must feel about me. I heard that you like I were chastised by you Lady for wanting to help me. For that I appologize. It was my wavering that created the situation that you got into. I should not have sought the aid of your lady and be asured I will not repeat the mistake. I hope that we can still do business. I have a great respect for the Raven Trade Company.
Clarissa"
*Storold grumbles a bit recognising the handwriting having seen it often before, then he reads the letter and shakes his head while doing so. Later that day he takes up the quill and writes a reply.*
"Clarissa
I wonder how you feel that we can work together after the things you have publicly declared about Lucinda. I can see that you would actually not like Lucinda all that much after this, however I cannot tolerate the words you have been associating with her name. My questions about the curse were merely directed at yourself and had nothing to do with my views on Toran. I do view Toran as an enemy of Lucinda however I would not degrade myself to a verbal assult on him however you have insulted my godess and I have a hard time seeing how you can look me into the eyes again without publicly apoligizing for your words about Lucinda, I don't want you to praise Lucinda just take your words back and make it known that even though you have little liking for Lucinda you wont verbally or in writing speak words like that against the lady of magic...
Storold Doesscha"
*After a few days a reply arrives Storold just reads it and throws it to the trash just shaking his head and muttering, silly Toranite to himself*
"Storold,
I regret that you feel like you need me to public withdraw comments that reflect my true feelings. I know you adore your lady as I do Toran. If you could put yourself in anothers shoes however you might see why my words were said. We will likely never agree on the facts but I would be dishonest if I denied my true feelings and so I will be unable to grant your request. I do not wish to offend you further so I will conduct my future business with another of the Ravens if that is your wish.
Clarissa"

*Storold sits at home after having read the bedtime story for his children pondering about things while writing in his journal*
Many things have happened over the last days, lots of training in Spellgard and lots of difficult decitions about things of the faith. I was approached by some people who wanted to revive the arcane alliance, interesting thought to see that odd organisation surface again.. First it was introduced as a middle ground between Lucindas tower in Spellgard and the Black Wizards. Then all in a sudden it was turned to something to oppose the unwillingness of the tower in Spellgard to teach.
Really what did they expect of me, to agree with them that everything our church offers to the willing is wrong just because they refuse to take the blessing of the Lady into their hearts. Even more than that they speak badly of her servants who has been serving her for all their lives showing great dedication and sacrifice for the faith. I could do nothing but turn my back to their accusations and walk out on them, it tears me appart seeing mages dedicate themselves enough to learn of Lucindas word but yet only to use it against her own servants because their goals doesn't fit with the dogma of the Lady.
Other than that my days have been quiet, I have been checking out some of the usual spots, but still nothing, so I don't suspect any changes. I guess I should write a report to Trier soon too, since he must have missed my letter to the Warder completly plus I have a few more issues I need to address. If this chain of command indeed works I will be happy to see the results.
*Storold closes his journal and sighs to himself looking around the seemingly empty library, then suddenly hears his wife singing in the bathroom which returns the smile on his face*

//Happened on Rhynns WLDQ this morning, thank you Dezza for this//
*Storold sits on a quiet spot on the street in Westgate...*
[07:35:35]
Canuslupis :
while on the street a family approaches you and says they worship Lucinda and wish to ask for a blessing
[07:36:48]
Storold Doesscha:
*Storold looks at them and starts mumbling a prayer over them*
[07:37:01]
Canuslupis :
they are raptious and effusive in their thanks
[07:37:18]
Storold Doesscha:
*The prayer doesn't result in a blessing though*
[07:38:10]
Storold Doesscha:
*Storold smiles a little and says that it is nothing and he would be delighted to help them if they need anything else*
*Some time passes an another person walks up*
[07:43:08]
Human-Male:
*peers at storold*
[07:43:27]
Storold Doesscha:
*Looks up at him*
[07:44:13]
Human-Male:
Storold? *he murmurs*
[07:45:41]
Human-Male:
i come seeking a blessing...if it...is possible..a friend..*he stops and trails off*
[07:46:15]
Storold Doesscha:
I can try to bless you or your friend in the name of the Lady
[07:48:58]
Storold Doesscha:
Who was it that needed the blessing?
[07:49:03]
Human-Male:
me
[07:49:13]
Storold Doesscha:
*Nods a little*And your friend?
[07:50:01]
Human-Male:
my friend told me that you offer blessings. . . i was wondering if you could bestow one on me.
[07:50:13]
Storold Doesscha:
I can try my best to do so, yes
[07:50:27]
Human-Male:
thank you. . .
[07:50:37]
Storold Doesscha:
*Folds his hands and closes his eyes focusing on the weave around the man*
[07:52:02]
Storold Doesscha:
*Mumbles*Lady of Spells bless this man and let him see the true wonders of your weave and with it strengthen and protect it hereby doing good to both it and the world and its people
[07:54:30]
Human-Male:
*you notice that for a brief moment, there is a slight trace of Lucinda's ebb of flow, but then it is gone*
[07:54:34]
Storold Doesscha:
*Opens his eyes again after some time and smiles to the man*
[07:55:23]
Storold Doesscha:
May you walk with Lucindas blessing
[07:56:20]
Human-Male:
*reopens his eyes*
[07:57:08]
Human-Male:
*scratches his head and looks at Storold blankly*
[07:57:54]
Storold Doesscha:
*Frowns looking at him*
[07:58:07]
Storold Doesscha:
Something wrong?
[08:00:29]
Human-Male:
i felt some thing very small....., but *he shrugs* could be anything i guess
[08:00:56]
Storold Doesscha:
*Nods a little*Well you never know
[08:01:09]
Storold Doesscha:
Sometimes your wishes do come true
[08:01:20]
Storold Doesscha:
*Smiles brightly*
*Storold notes the progression in his journal and continues to pray to Lucinda every day.*

*Storold walks the streets of Spellgard again rather aimlessly at first speaking to a few people he knows or who asks him about various things.
a fellow Protector passes him on the street, giving you common and silent greeting common to Protector's acknowledging their own. As you pass each other, he suddenly stops and turns to you.*
"Oh, Storold..." he said. "Trier wanted you to know he got your message."
*Waiting only to see that you had heard and understood the message, he continued on about his duties.
Some time after this he finds himself at the Protectors headquarters again. Here he finds some of his friends and fellow protectors of the Chapter of Protection.*
[/B]
Storold:
*Smiles nodding to the people present*
I am glad to find you all here, not all that often I have time to travel here now that I have to look after the children too...
*The protectors nod in agreement and adds some comments about his absence being alright since his family should be one of his major focuses.*
Storold:
*Looks all of them over*
Well how have all of you been the last week?
*Mixed comments come from the people gathered some have been harmed during their missions some have had a quiet weeek and others again have had a visit to the temple in Kartherian...*
Storold:
*Nods a little to all the statements*
Interesting week for almost everyone I see. I hope everyone is still ready for more training and fun this week?
*They nod and smile telling about all the things they plan to do for the comming week, and ask what Storold is up to*
Storold:
*Smiles and nods to all the things they point out*
Well I am going to start my lecturing, plus I am waiting for news from Trier himself on some questions. After I know more there I am ready to make some moves.
*Storold continues to talk to the protectors untill he decides it is time to head to the temple for a short prayer before this weeks training and work begins.*
Storold:
*Kneels infront of the alter with some of the other people comming there to pray and starts mumbling his prayer to himself*
Lady of the Weave, please allow me to see my own flaws and correct them so I can come to serve you better than I did before. Allow me through your Weave to better myself and thereby serve you in the best way possible. Allow me to walk the lands with your blessing doing the duty you appointed me to as I have done since I promised to serve without question, let me use my rapier and my magical skill to further your goals as I have done in the past.
*Storold gets up again and nods to the priests and protectors as he heads out to do his duties about town, when he returns to the Protectors headquarters before he heads home he write a letter and sends it to one of the priests.*

*Storold walks smiling into Spellgard greeting the people he knows on his way to the protectors headquarters. When he arrives a small crowd is gathered there appearently waiting for someone*
Storold:
*He looks everyone over and nods*
Hello everyone, I take it you are waiting for me.
*They all nod and confirm that they are indeed waiting for him, after they had read his note and wanted to know more about what he had to teach.*
Storold:
*Smiles to all of them*
I guess we should get moving to the training grounds then...
*Storold gestures them to follow him as they move outside town to the training ground where some space have been left out for Storolds classes. There are some benches and a small table for Storold to stand by*
Storold:
*Clears he throat and looks over all the people assembled*
Well... I haven't excatly done this before, but I will try to do my best and hopefully you will understand a bit more about the uses and the techniques of abjuration after this...
*The people look silently at Storold while he just stands there for a while seemingly expecting something...*
Storold:
*Coughs a little and tries to regain control of the situation*
Well lets start then... I would like to go over the usefull concept of dispelling...
*Mumbles the words needed to cast dispell and lets a lesser version of the spell fly to his left*
This is the lesser version, note that this will still work against most lesser casters and effects, however it hasn't had a great effect on the world since you will soon learn the normal version of the spell... It is similar in form and some of the words and gestures remains the same, however it takes care of even stronger spells..
*Mumbles a few words and aims a dispell to the right*
The question is... What is the use of all this? Any suggestions?
*Looks to the people gathered*
*A man speaks up suggesting that it is used for dispelling all sorts of ill effects as the name of the spells imply, a woman joins him and suggests it can be used to neutralise magical devices that threaten the stability of the weave.*
Storold:
*Nods a little with their suggestions*
Those are very good ideas and those are some of the major good uses of the spells, thankfully the latter is a rare use of it but worth remembering when you are facing a device or setup of this kind. However one of the rarer uses of it is to conterspell your opponents, this is really usefull as you dispell the spell while it is being cast rather than deal with the effects of the spells which might be a lot harder to remove. Plus some things like fireballs leave a permanent effect on you that only a priest can remove...
*Storold grins a little looking everyone over while they nod to his observation. But then someone in the crowd blushing a bit while she says it looking seemingly embaresed to the others at the event. "How do you even do this that you speak of, can you give a demonstration since I haven't ever tried using these spells yet..*Looks down a little* We from the Falan Gis doesn't see so much combat only the results of it". A few of the others nod with her words and voice similar questions while some seems oblivious to the need of an explaination for this especially two from Storolds own chapter.
Storold:
*Frowns a little seeming to think for a short while then he looks to the persons asking the questions and then to the people looking oddly at them for doing so*
Well I guess everyone needs to start their magical journey towards a greater understanding somewhere, so I suggest that each should try working on their own level. This does not mean that anyone have to leave this session, however I will ask for you to have some patience and everything will be shown to you in due time... First of we need to make some study groups that will help you gain the understanding needed for making great use of these spells, both for serious business and for fun...
*Chuckles lightly as he launches a disjunction towards one of the younger members of his chapter who curses and shakes his fists playfully at Storold promising a revenge at some point. Storold just grins to this and assures the ones who got sligtly scared and facinated about this that this was just a joke and a rather common one for him to play on his friends*
Let me take a minute to hear you all out on where you come from and what your background in abjuration is...
*Storold listens to them in turn all of them from different parts of the church some priests some protectors and then again some mages from the tower who would like some hands on feeling with magic. After having heard this he starts distributing them in teams consisting both of people with a huge understanding and people with little understanding trying to balance the groups with just as many falling in each category and everything in between in each.*
Storold:
*Looks over the crowd as they have reorganised themselves after his instructions*
Now... Some of you might find this odd but I will come back to my thoughts on this distribution later, first let me show you how something is dispelled while being cast if you would be so kind.
*Storold waves one of his friends forward and asks him to cast something of the second or third circle, as he does Storold mumbles the words of the appropriate dispell and makes the weave buildup the other person was creating fade just before the spell is completed.*
Now this is how it is done, some might have seen with their eyes what I did and others might have felt it on the weave. But now it is up to those capable in the arts of abjuration to show what I just did to the others in their group, best idea would be to start with counterspelling some of those who had a hard time seeing what I did to make them feel it on their own body and in their own weave. I will try to help with any questions asked and with some more demonstrations if needed.
*Storold spends the rest of the day trying to make people understand the concepts of counterspelling with the aid of those who already understands the spells when the day is over he heads back home saying thank you for showing up to everyone and with a promise of making a new session happen soon so he can cover some of the other areas mentioned today.*

*Some days later Storold reposts the poster and calls for a meeting a few days after it is posted where he will go on with teaching. When the date finally comes a familiar crowd is gathered on the training grounds on the same spot as last time waiting for Storold to show up*
Storold:
*Smiles and waves as he aproaches*
Hello everyone... I am glad you found it worthwhile to show up again. I think we should go on with refreshing what we have learned last time so I would like all of you to get together with someone and demonstrate the counterspelling I showed you last time.
*The students does this and almost everyone, save a few who are still strugling a bit with getting it to work, performs a counterspell on the person they teamed up with.*
Storold:
*Smiles and nods as he sees their progress commenting on the few who lack a little telling them what to work on for improving their skills in counterspelling*
Right... I guess it is time to move on to basic wards for now, I am not expecting that we are anywhere near doen with counter spelling so far but for now lets try to think of something else as the basic abjuration wards to the fourth circle...
*Storold instructs the people who showed up in the wards from the cantrips to the fourth circle giving a detailed describtion of each and its uses. After he is done he lets the student try a few of them and lets them practice counterspelling a bit more this time also experimenting with using normal spells ar counterspells dispelling effects in whole new ways.
When the lesson is over he speaks with a few of the protectors he knows and arranges a class on infusion some time later that week.*

*Storold finds Sala after sending her a letter about some things he wished to discuss with her. He urges her to follow him into the Raven Trade building for a more private conversation*
[20:25:33]
Sala Stonehill:
So, what's going on?
[20:25:59]
Storold Doesscha:
Well... Besides from me loosing favor and working hard to regain it I am starting to plan something greater
[20:26:17]
Sala Stonehill:
Oh?
[20:26:42]
Storold Doesscha:
Well... After a lot of studies around the world I have found that the weave suffers many places as I told you about back then
[20:26:58]
Sala Stonehill:
Yes, I remember our tour
[20:27:35]
Storold Doesscha:
I am trying to scout the area and talk to people who knows things to get information so that we can see to that it is cured sooner rather than later
[20:28:00]
Sala Stonehill:
That sounds like a good idea.
[20:28:37]
Storold Doesscha:
Well I would need help for it of course since I can't work on it alone... I have sent letters to you and to the Tweeds trying to see if they can help me out somehow
[20:29:01]
Sala Stonehill:
Of course I'll help, Storold.
[20:29:25]
Storold Doesscha:
Well I was sure you would... Or sort of... Not really after what happened
[20:30:17]
Sala Stonehill:
You mean your loss of powers? You were following your heart, Storold. No shame in that.
[20:30:34]
Storold Doesscha:
Well when my heart follows a different path that Lucinda there is
[20:30:52]
Storold Doesscha:
I am bound to serve her and no one else for all of my life
[20:31:10]
Sala Stonehill:
No, not shame, there's a difference between heart and duty. The heart leads where it will.
[20:31:59]
Sala Stonehill:
Your problem was chosing heart over duty, and now you'll do better.
[20:32:31]
Sala Stonehill:
It was a lesson for me, too.
[20:32:32]
Storold Doesscha:
I really hope so... But for now I will still be remembered as the one who feel instead of the one who succeeded in making things better
[20:33:05]
Sala Stonehill:
You have a good heart, Storold--no one faults that.
[20:33:27]
Sala Stonehill:
Still, it's good to make things better.
[20:33:34]
Storold Doesscha:
Well in the end I might be harming the church more than I am helping.. At least I were
[20:33:54]
Sala Stonehill:
That's past now
[20:35:20]
Storold Doesscha:
Yes... But is there a future? Right now I am but a teacher in Spellgard... I don't dare venturing out on official business
[20:36:45]
Sala Stonehill:
That's temporary, Storold.
[20:37:10]
Storold Doesscha:
I am just afraid to do the same mistakes as before or even worse ones..
[20:37:58]
Sala Stonehill:
Of course you'll make mistakes. It's the human condition. You just do the best you can and go on, learning from your mistakes.
[20:39:07]
Storold Doesscha:
But do you think Lucinda will ever forgive me for it?
[20:40:46]
Sala Stonehill:
I'm sure she already has. We only chastise those we love. If she didn't care, you'd just be dead.
[20:41:25]
Storold Doesscha:
**Nods a little* I am sure she will forgive me in time... At least that is my only hope now... How I prove myself I do not know yet
[20:42:33]
Sala Stonehill:
You won't do Lucinda any good by killing yourself while trying to "prove yourself". Go forward with what you do as a free gift to Her.
[20:42:46]
Sala Stonehill:
And watch your back
[20:43:03]
Storold Doesscha:
Watch my back?
[20:43:28]
Sala Stonehill:
You are a champion of Lucinda--and there are those who hate her.
[20:43:53]
Storold Doesscha:
Actually that is pretty many I found... Or well not her... But her clergy too...
[20:44:11]
Sala Stonehill:
These distortions of the Weave--they were not made by mindless animals.
[20:44:41]
Storold Doesscha:
Indeed... There must be someone behind it
[20:45:02]
Sala Stonehill:
Who ever is behind it has a malevolent purpose, and maybe a far-reaching plan.
[20:45:35]
Storold Doesscha:
Indeed... But we have to take one battle at a time and my first one will be fought in the Dark Peaks of the Watchers
[20:46:11]
Sala Stonehill:
*sharp intake of breath* That dreadful place!
[20:46:32]
Storold Doesscha:
**Nods a little*Well all of the places are...
[20:46:32]
Sala Stonehill:
How can you fight, when you can't even see?
[20:46:50]
Sala Stonehill:
That's by far the worst of the ones I know.
[20:47:15]
Storold Doesscha:
You can see with ultravision... It will last for a day or so.. After that you simply just fight... But we should try to avoid fighting.. We haven't come to slay the evil only the evil that troubles the weave
[20:47:20]
Sala Stonehill:
Of course, I'm not as travelled as you.
[20:47:42]
Storold Doesscha:
Well you can see in the other places by they are quite horrible as well
[20:48:00]
Sala Stonehill:
How will we do that?
[20:48:25]
Storold Doesscha:
Well time will tell... I know a few who knows some details.. But I will have to ask in Blackford and Spellgard too
[20:49:33]
Sala Stonehill:
I know that Ferrit made a box of silk hoods for concentration a while back. I'm sure she would loan them to us.
[20:50:17]
Sala Stonehill:
You do mean to fight with magic, don't you?
[20:50:18]
Storold Doesscha:
I am sure she would too... But first I need to prove myself to Lucinda... I wont go without her full approval and right now I am not sure if I have that in anything I do
[20:50:47]
Storold Doesscha:
Depends... I don't know excatly what we are fighting yet, but soon I will
[20:50:56]
Sala Stonehill:
The Dark Peaks have waited many years. They can wait a little while longer.
[20:51:50]
Sala Stonehill:
I will do whatever I can to help you, and I'm sure Jako will, too--if you think he could be helpful.
[20:51:51]
Storold Doesscha:
Indeed... I can only pray that they will not wait any longer soon....
[20:52:23]
Storold Doesscha:
I am not really sure yet... I am still thinking of a plan of action...
[20:52:43]
Sala Stonehill:
Of course, if we have to fight, there are many fighters more skilled than he...
[20:53:01]
Sala Stonehill:
He spends so much time in the alchemy lab.
[20:53:17]
Storold Doesscha:
Well every fighter would be needed I am sure... But I don't know which ones would be good to bring up there yet
[20:54:31]
Sala Stonehill:
Jako does strongly dislike the dark. He might not be a good choice.
[20:55:21]
Storold Doesscha:
Well I will think about it.. But first I have to finish teaching and finish my quest to prove myself before this
[20:55:51]
Sala Stonehill:
I thought this was your quest to prove yourself. What more can you do?
[20:58:13]
Sala Stonehill:
Perhaps Mylindra and I could use greater sanctuary to scout for you.
[20:58:38]
Storold Doesscha:
I could do that myself too... I would rather not risk either of you going up there
[20:58:55]
Sala Stonehill:
All right
[20:59:07]
Storold Doesscha:
*Smiles*But thank you for the offer
[20:59:15]
Sala Stonehill:
*smiles*
[20:59:18]
Storold Doesscha:
And thank you for being willing to help
[20:59:49]
Sala Stonehill:
You're always welcome to what help I can give, Storold.
[21:00:24]
Sala Stonehill:
What about what comes before? This "proving yourself"?
[21:01:21]
Storold Doesscha:
Well I am beginning to regain her favor... From time to time I can feel that I can use some of the powers she gave me...
[21:01:39]
Storold Doesscha:
I just have to show that I can be trusted and that I only serve her
[21:01:50]
Storold Doesscha:
Or well not just... I have to show that this is the truth
[21:02:03]
Sala Stonehill:
Good. I was afraid you were planning something foolish.
[21:02:45]
Storold Doesscha:
No.... I am just teaching and trying to find ways to improve her reputation in the public
[21:03:14]
Sala Stonehill:
That's good.
[21:04:06]
Storold Doesscha:
I have found one willing to learn so far... Maybe I can get her to become an affirmed mage or so
[21:05:15]
Sala Stonehill:
That would certainly be good for the church.
[21:05:46]
Storold Doesscha:
Well I really hope I succed... Other than that I am running an abjuration class outside town at the training grounds for the people who are interested
[21:06:47]
Sala Stonehill:
Who knows? That taste of knowledge might lead another to Lucinda' fold.
[21:07:12]
Storold Doesscha:
Well it isn't for non Lucindites though
[21:07:25]
Sala Stonehill:
Oh?
[21:07:37]
Sala Stonehill:
You mean it for priests?
[21:07:55]
Storold Doesscha:
Yes, Priests, Protectors and a few mages those are the people I teach
[21:08:22]
Sala Stonehill:
Ahh, I did not realize that. I should be attending, too, then.
[21:09:35]
Storold Doesscha:
*Smiles*Well it is up to you.... I have taught them counterspelling so far
[21:10:07]
Sala Stonehill:
Oh. I should not have missed that. I am very weak in that area.
[21:10:49]
Storold Doesscha:
Well it isn't all that hard.... But I am sure you are much better than all the others Sala
[21:10:58]
Sala Stonehill:
I've never even tried it--except when I was in temple, and even then I was concentrating on other things.
[21:11:12]
Storold Doesscha:
What about banishing?
[21:11:27]
Sala Stonehill:
I've done that once, with a scroll.
[21:11:45]
Storold Doesscha:
Ohh... What did you banish?
[21:12:46]
Sala Stonehill:
It was a terrible spirit of some sort, guarding a dark elf altar. And I didn't banish it for long--just long enough for me to grab the thing we needed.
[21:14:06]
Storold Doesscha:
Ohh... Well maybe you are strong enough to banish something greater now?
[21:14:49]
Sala Stonehill:
Perhaps. I'm not sure I even remember what it works on. I wasn't a very attentive student, I'm afraid.
[21:15:12]
Storold Doesscha:
Well maybe I can teach you, it is actully usefull every now and then
[21:15:21]
Sala Stonehill:
I'd like that.
[21:15:53]
Storold Doesscha:
*Smiles*Maybe we could meet up in a few days?
[21:16:17]
Sala Stonehill:
Yes, let's do that.
[21:16:28]
Sala Stonehill:
If you have time, of course.
[21:17:20]
Storold Doesscha:
I just need to see Muireann first... I should really talk to her about what is going on now
[21:17:55]
Sala Stonehill:
This is something else besides the Peaks?
[21:18:08]
Storold Doesscha:
Not for now...
[21:18:22]
Sala Stonehill:
Am I at risk?
[21:18:23]
Storold Doesscha:
But I will send you some notes with the information I have in the near future
[21:18:29]
Storold Doesscha:
At risk?
[21:18:31]
Sala Stonehill:
Good
[21:18:45]
Sala Stonehill:
of being "influenced"...
[21:19:16]
Storold Doesscha:
Not by this... Muireann bound herself to some outsiders who are related to some criminals living outside Llast
[21:19:28]
Sala Stonehill:
Ohh
[21:20:08]
Sala Stonehill:
What a strange thing to do! She is independent in the extreme. I can't imagine her doing such a thing.
[21:20:33]
Storold Doesscha:
Well I am not really sure why she did it anyway.. But it is done now...
[21:20:57]
Sala Stonehill:
And you fear there will be consequences?
[21:21:26]
Storold Doesscha:
Well one of the people who were connected to these criminals that we saved and brought to Spellgard has gone missing he sent this note to me
[21:22:42]
Storold Doesscha:
We are searching everywhere for him now...
[21:22:51]
Sala Stonehill:
Isn't that Mist's problem? Take care that your heart does not lead you again.
[21:23:46]
Storold Doesscha:
Well actually catching this criminal is our problem since she tore up a good part of weave outside Llast
[21:23:57]
Sala Stonehill:
Ahh, good.
[21:24:14]
Storold Doesscha:
I don't really care much for what happens to Muireann I just want to know where this criminal is hidding and where MArlin is so we can save him
[21:24:35]
Sala Stonehill:
That's all right, then.
[21:25:23]
Storold Doesscha:
*Smiles*Thank you for reminding me though
[21:25:48]
Storold Doesscha:
I have no reason to save Muireann her troubles are her own, but those outsiders are my responsibility under Lucinda
[21:26:00]
Sala Stonehill:
Of course.
[21:26:37]
Sala Stonehill:
And it isn't as if Lucinda has feelings against Mist, just that she's the priest of another god.
[21:26:55]
Storold Doesscha:
Indeed....
[21:27:08]
Storold Doesscha:
And she is capable of managing herself anyway
[21:27:49]
Sala Stonehill:
Personally, I like Muir and would hate to see anything happen to her. It's a fine line, but one that must be watched.
[21:28:46]
Storold Doesscha:
*Nods*Indeed... And I have to watch the children or outsiders in Vehl as I promised to
[21:29:06]
Sala Stonehill:
You have a busy schedule.
[21:29:06]
Storold Doesscha:
Maybe one day I will have to move them to my own home or somewhere else where it is appropriate...
[21:30:07]
Storold Doesscha:
Well I have a lot of things to see to that is why I wasn't much at Spellgard before
[21:30:19]
Sala Stonehill:
I see that.
[21:31:02]
Storold Doesscha:
But for now I will see to Muireann and see if she knows something, other than that I will prepare for a learning trip for you so you can see what you can do
[21:31:16]
Sala Stonehill:
Oh, that sounds like fun!
[21:31:44]
Storold Doesscha:
I know one place where it is safeish to learn but there are many other places which might be good to train with your abjuration spells
[21:32:10]
Sala Stonehill:
Let's try the safeish one first.
[21:32:12]
Storold Doesscha:
Maybe I should bring Mylindra too
[21:32:28]
Sala Stonehill:
That would make me feel more confident.
[21:33:11]
Storold Doesscha:
I am not really sure about Rofireins view on magic but I am sure she would like to learn a few things as well
[21:33:36]
Sala Stonehill:
And I like her company...and yours, too, of course.
[21:34:15]
Storold Doesscha:
*Smiles and nods*
[21:34:28]
Storold Doesscha:
Well we will see about it I will try asking her when I find her again
[21:34:33]
Sala Stonehill:
Magic in the cause of justice would be her strength.
[21:35:03]
Sala Stonehill:
Or the law, anyway. It's sad that they are sometimes not the same.
[21:35:28]
Storold Doesscha:
*Nods a little*I guess she follows the law mostly
[21:35:54]
Sala Stonehill:
yes
[21:36:08]
Storold Doesscha:
So maybe I can incorperate that too...
[21:36:21]
Sala Stonehill:
I'm sure she'd like that.
[21:37:08]
Storold Doesscha:
Yep... I will go find Muireann first though and then write that note for you
[21:37:21]
Sala Stonehill:
I'll be waiting.
[21:37:55]
Storold Doesscha:
*Smiles and nods*
[21:38:10]
Sala Stonehill:
Shall we go?
[21:38:21]
Storold Doesscha:
*Nods and smiles*Lets
*Storold walks outside with Sala again and heads for the main square to find Muireann again seemingly in a better mood than he were in before.*

*After some rather hectic days traveling around Storold finally arrives at Spellgard again ready for another session of teaching, at least he would be after a few days. But first he takes some time to study and pray the next few days while traveling back and forth between Spellgard and Clover as usual.
Eventually he find himself traveling a few days with a group of priests who are going out to examine the healing of the wild magic area north of Fort Homestead on Alindor. The journey itself is rather uneventfull save a few bandit attacks which never really before an issue since not of them are well enough armor to stand against the group and quickly backs down before it comes to blows.
However on the third day of the trip the group is attacked by a group of Osyluth's in the Crest Hills, not too unusual for this region however the size of the attack is rather big. Five demons come down on the group from the hills above and manages to poison a few priests with their spells and slash some of the other protectors before everyone manages to form up a line and Storold manages to banish most of the demons while two are dispatched by the other protectors.
After this incident the protectors keep a keen watch as instructed by the leading priest a Dawnwoven both day and night as they travel and make camp the next few days. however the traveling seems rather uneventfull again, maybe almost too uneventfull but after a few more days they arrive at the tower where the mending of the weave has almost been completeded and only the inner parts of the tower are still somewhat unstable.
Here Storold tells his fellow protectors the story of how the tower was saved and of the great hero Honora who made all this possible and played a huge role in curing the weave here. The story goes on till the late hours of the night by the campfire, as the most of the clerics have gone to bed only the few who has yet to read the report on this or the ones who would like a first hand story about it told sit there. As the tale finally spins the the crutial point where the portals are seperated and the strands of the weave seems to find their regular places again slowly wrapping their weaved form over the lands near the tower again the audience smiles and thanks Storold for sharing this rather learning experience with them so they might be able to do the same if needed.*
*After excorting the priests to the site and spending the last night at the camp Storold is dismissed and uses his tome to get back home to him family enjoying the whole day with the children and Molly after being away for nearly a week.
But the day after his attention is again turned to Spellgard as he has tocontinue his seminar on abjurational magic, this time focusing mostly on banishing techniques something many looks forward to after hearing the news of the Osyluth attack in the Crest Hills and how Storold dealt with it.
Storold starts the lecture by poking the knowledge from his last lecture of abjurations of the cantrip to the fourth circle, trying to see if they understand the purpose of the spells and the weave that fuels them as well as the strands by which you can identify the spells.*
Storold :
*Smiles hearing the progress of his students*
I guess you are ready for the next step then, we will mostly be discussing a fifth circle spell today but I will end up with some notes about the seventh or sixth circle spell which can do the same and a few other things as some of you might know.
The spell we have for today is called dismissal, nifty for dismissing any kind of creature bound to the caster you are battling with a simple conjuration bond like summoning golems to our side and such. However it isn't strong enough to break the bonds of the creatures called to our planes with ritual magic to serve in armies of great conjurers.
The way this is applied is by identifying the bonds and cutting them swiftly sort of using the same techniques as dispelling to cut these. When this is done right the being in question is kicked back to its plane of existence much weaker than it was before. It will recover however and in time it will be able to return if called by someone, just as it happens when the being is killed in battle.
*The students nod taking some notes before Storold goes on demonstrating the spell being cast on a few test subjects summoned by the people able to do so. He then leaves them to experiment on their own in their study groups helping out where he can, however since conjuration is something he and the other protectors from his chapter have never studied he relies heavily on the priest and wizards to conjure the test subjects up.*
Storold :
*Looks over the crowd as the lecture is nearing its end smiling at the progress that have been made as he sees each of them demonstrate the spell to their best ability*
Well I promised you a bit about a spell similar to this. It is called Banishment and can do excatly the same as the spell I just showed you, furthermore it can also banish the beings conjured up by powerfull rituals if their bonds to this place is weak enough to be broken by your casting ability.
*Storold shows the spell to them and explains when it should and shouldn't be used, using his own painfull experince with misuse of this spell as an example of not so good use. However he lets everyone know that no one is suffering from this anymore and almost all ends have been sorted out at this point. After the lecture he heads back home to his family again seemingly in a great mood.*

*Storold travels outside Leringard searching for aloe for some inks when he finds Jennara who he waves to in greeting.*
[22:59:09]
Jennara Creekskipper:
How can I help you?
[22:59:25]
Storold Doesscha:
*Smiles*I just wondered what you were doing out here
[22:59:58]
Jennara Creekskipper:
I am on the way south.
[23:00:08]
Storold Doesscha:
*Nods a little*Gathering for something?
[23:00:41]
Jennara Creekskipper:
Potions and food. And juice.
[23:01:03]
Storold Doesscha:
That is always good
[23:01:08]
Jennara Creekskipper:
*nods*
[23:01:23]
Jennara Creekskipper:
Are you well?
[23:01:26]
Storold Doesscha:
Have everything been fine so far? No bad news from the world?
[23:01:47]
Storold Doesscha:
Ohh... Well I am feeling as fine as I can, just missing Mylindra a little, but I will go home soon
[23:02:15]
Jennara Creekskipper:
Not since we left the school, but that makes it difficult to see things in the proper perspective.
[23:02:42]
Storold Doesscha:
*Nods in agreement*Hopefully the trouble will get solved really soon....
[23:02:47]
Jennara Creekskipper:
*nods*
[23:03:08]
Storold Doesscha:
But we have to be very careful... Irilax was really powerful before now...
[23:03:36]
Jennara Creekskipper:
*nods*
[23:04:00]
Jennara Creekskipper:
I asked about your well-being because you have seemed... recalcitrant recently.
[23:04:04]
Storold Doesscha:
We couldn't hurt him at all when we found him down there
[23:04:12]
Jennara Creekskipper:
*frowns*
[23:05:34]
Storold Doesscha:
Well... I have a problem with.. Certain people...
[23:06:04]
Jennara Creekskipper:
Me?
[23:06:26]
Storold Doesscha:
*Smiles and shakes his head*
[23:07:07]
Storold Doesscha:
You are an honourable person and have shown the world how far you can go with dedication in the things that are right
[23:07:55]
Jennara Creekskipper:
I only do what I am able.
[23:08:21]
Storold Doesscha:
*Nods and smiles*However there are certain other people, how has decided to go against my faith, which I can't forgive them for
[23:09:16]
Jennara Creekskipper:
I do not need to know any details of personal differences you have with others, but may I make an observation?
[23:09:32]
Storold Doesscha:
Hmm?
[23:09:45]
Storold Doesscha:
Sure go ahead, I would like to know what is on your mind
[23:11:57]
Jennara Creekskipper:
Groups function best in an orderly manner as a unified whole, and if one person is so disturbed by the nature of another that he is no longer a part of the unified whole, he is a liability, and is more a burden to the world than that which he dislikes.
[23:12:29]
Storold Doesscha:
*Sighs*
[23:13:22]
Jennara Creekskipper:
Understand, please, that I have a duty to the whole. If you are with us, you are one of us, and I have a duty to assure your safety.
[23:14:04]
Storold Doesscha:
I will be responsible for my own safety and the safety of those I swore to protect and those I have as friends, no others
[23:15:27]
Jennara Creekskipper:
Imagine that I can manipulate the Weave. If I assured you that I would see to the well being of the Weave where I was, would that remove your responsibility?
[23:15:51]
Storold Doesscha:
*Shakes his head*It wouldn't...
[23:16:28]
Jennara Creekskipper:
And my duty to see to the protection of anyone in the group is not lessened by your assurances that you will see to yourself.
[23:17:04]
Jennara Creekskipper:
I understand if you do not wish to act to help those who are against Lucinda, or your family, or any other unpleasant people.
[23:17:22]
Jennara Creekskipper:
*furrows her brow*
[23:17:27]
Jennara Creekskipper:
I said that very poorly.
[23:17:34]
Storold Doesscha:
That is what I do not wish to do
[23:17:59]
Storold Doesscha:
Bar the unpleasant people... I can handle normal unpleasant things
[23:19:06]
Storold Doesscha:
But things that stand up against the very things I stand for I will try to avoid for any price in the world...
[23:19:23]
Storold Doesscha:
Except the price of failing my own godess
[23:20:46]
Jennara Creekskipper:
You do not need to answer aloud, but how many of our group in the cavern below Lyn were you against aiding? Are those few so very important that you would endanger the others or risk some trouble from the magics we follow?
[23:21:37]
Storold Doesscha:
One... Just one... Who refuses to appologize... I will not lift a finger for the benifit of this person at all
[23:23:26]
Jennara Creekskipper:
I do not believe that includes indirect aid, because you were able to stop Gimbol from casting spells. That indirectly aided us all, and directly aided his targets.
[23:23:53]
Storold Doesscha:
Well the pain was that I couldn't cut that off for all but one target, if I could I would have
[23:24:42]
Jennara Creekskipper:
I understand. Can you not ignore the one?
[23:24:54]
Storold Doesscha:
*Shakes his head*I can't
[23:25:17]
Jennara Creekskipper:
*furrows her brow*
[23:25:32]
Storold Doesscha:
Not after the words this one person used first in writing then directly at my face about my own godess, why I kept back the words I knew would intentionally hurt the person
[23:25:47]
Jennara Creekskipper:
Do you know of Chanda, the Corathite?
[23:26:20]
Storold Doesscha:
*Nods a little*I have cut off her ability to cast once...
[23:26:38]
Jennara Creekskipper:
Oh, yes! I remember.
[23:27:05]
Jennara Creekskipper:
That was very nice. Did you not ignore her otherwise?
[23:27:31]
Storold Doesscha:
*Shrugs*I had done nothing to aid her before she begun her hostilities against us
[23:29:17]
Jennara Creekskipper:
I am just not certain I understand why you cannot ignore the one and more actively aid Corba or Acacea. If there were a Xeenite in our group, I would not pay him any mind and would do my best to help.
[23:30:15]
Storold Doesscha:
Well would the said Xeenite have offended Rofirien to your face?
[23:30:37]
Jennara Creekskipper:
Probably...
[23:30:39]
Jennara Creekskipper:
*frowns*
[23:30:45]
Jennara Creekskipper:
Everyone else does.
[23:31:10]
Storold Doesscha:
Has any of the others in the group done this?
[23:32:30]
Jennara Creekskipper:
I should not have exaggerated. Many people have insulted the Lord Protector or me because of what we stand for.
[23:32:48]
Jennara Creekskipper:
I do not let them stop me from trying my best.
[23:33:52]
Jennara Creekskipper:
For the most part, their opinions are little more than words, and cannot stand against the good of my actions.
[23:34:00]
Storold Doesscha:
I am not stopping myself from doing my best, did I not aid you?
[23:34:30]
Jennara Creekskipper:
You would not answer my questions. Mine, not anyone elses.
[23:34:53]
Storold Doesscha:
Your questions...? What did you ask, why I didn't not aid?
[23:35:39]
Jennara Creekskipper:
You were falling behind regularly, and were unhappy, and I asked if you were well and if you wanted to go back. You seemed to reluctantly answer the first, and just stared at me for the second.
[23:36:08]
Jennara Creekskipper:
I would gladly have escorted you back to Lyn so that you could recover from whatever was wrong.
[23:36:19]
Storold Doesscha:
I would not abandon Corba again... However I felt very bad about having to go, even if it was my duty to do so
[23:38:03]
Jennara Creekskipper:
Do you intend to continue to remain separate?
[23:38:24]
Storold Doesscha:
Well if that is the only way I can help escort Corba, then yes
[23:39:02]
Jennara Creekskipper:
If I may say so, if she is at the front and you are far to the rear, you are hardly an escort.
[23:39:47]
Jennara Creekskipper:
I wish to know only because my duty is to all, and I need to be prepared to cover a larger area if you are going to remain distant.
[23:39:49]
Storold Doesscha:
I can help in other ways than standing shoulder to shoulder with someone I would almost wish the same fate on as the ones ahead of us
[23:41:59]
Jennara Creekskipper:
Do you think Corba is a devout servant?
[23:42:44]
Storold Doesscha:
She seems to be to a limit... However I know she recieved the same warning as I did, the things done about it has just been different
[23:43:56]
Jennara Creekskipper:
I don't know anything about warnings, and they are likely none of my concern.
[23:45:13]
Storold Doesscha:
*Shakes his head*My whole duty as a protector has come into question, however my rank remains for now, but if I will ever regain full favor is only up to Lucinda... Corba on the other hand seems to have been warned by the church rather than by Lucinda herself
[23:46:08]
Jennara Creekskipper:
That is unfortunate.
[23:46:10]
Jennara Creekskipper:
*frowns*
[23:46:45]
Storold Doesscha:
*Shakes his head*
[23:47:28]
Storold Doesscha:
It isn't unfortunate at all.. I have corrected my ways so that I can serve as I am supposed to instead of going against the will of Lucinda in the things that I did
[23:48:24]
Jennara Creekskipper:
*opens her mouth slightly, then shuts it again*
[23:51:02]
Jennara Creekskipper:
I should probably continue with my collecting.
[23:52:29]
Storold Doesscha:
Well I guess so... I am sorry for causing any inconvinience for you... And well don't worry about protecting me if I fall it is my fault alone
[23:53:28]
Jennara Creekskipper:
I have tried to tell myself that in the past, but it does not make me feel better or make me any less responsible.
[23:53:36]
Storold Doesscha:
*Sighs*
[23:53:42]
Jennara Creekskipper:
Be safe.
[23:53:47]
Jennara Creekskipper:
*waves*
[23:53:50]
Storold Doesscha:
*Waves a little*Stay safe Jennara
*Storold walks around making some things for his scribing and finds himself in Wayfare at the time where he was supposed to meet his wife there...*
[02:59:08]
Storold Doesscha:
**Waves*Hey love!
[02:59:34]
Storold Doesscha:
**Wraps his arm around her as she sits*
[02:59:35]
Mylindra Doesscha:
well hey there *she kisses him*
[02:59:50]
Storold Doesscha:
**Returns the kiss and smiles brightly*How have you been?
[03:00:41]
Mylindra Doesscha:
oh good ..Spent most of the day with ralinda doing what us girls do *She smiles* then went to see the kids for awhile after that ...well im here
[03:01:03]
Storold Doesscha:
Mmmm... Sounds like a really good day
[03:01:11]
Mylindra Doesscha:
i have been busy
[03:01:33]
Mylindra Doesscha:
How about you ?
[03:01:50]
Storold Doesscha:
Well I have been gathering things... And guess what!
[03:01:52]
Mylindra Doesscha:
Not sneaking behind anymore i hope *she kinda sighs*
[03:01:58]
Mylindra Doesscha:
what
[03:02:20]
Storold Doesscha:
*Sighs and looks down*I saw Jennara...**Seems to change his mood rather fast*
[03:02:44]
Mylindra Doesscha:
really did you find out what in the world she was speaking about
[03:03:05]
Storold Doesscha:
Speaking about?
[03:03:19]
Mylindra Doesscha:
She said she Was not a Captian anymore
[03:03:41]
Storold Doesscha:
Well I guess you have to ask her about that... She seemed sort of angry with me but she understood
[03:03:42]
Mylindra Doesscha:
when we fouind her and others in the hole near Lor
[03:04:05]
Mylindra Doesscha:
i dont understand you want to explain it to me
[03:04:15]
Storold Doesscha:
What she is now?
[03:04:23]
Mylindra Doesscha:
..I mean i know you and Clarrissa have conflicts due to deties
[03:04:57]
Mylindra Doesscha:
but what reason is that to just stay behind they way you was
[03:05:05]
Mylindra Doesscha:
you could have handle that alot better
[03:05:06]
Storold Doesscha:
Well it is rather her totally unconstructive view on Lucinda... I could just tell her what I think about Toran but yet I do not because I know it will hurt her
[03:05:55]
Mylindra Doesscha:
So youlet her control your actions in a way ..well when she is present
[03:06:12]
Storold Doesscha:
*Sighs*I guess... But what else can I do?
[03:06:23]
Mylindra Doesscha:
think about it ...now would you have normaly acted in this way
[03:06:52]
Mylindra Doesscha:
Do as you would normaly do .... you know how to ignore someone
[03:07:02]
Storold Doesscha:
Normally? Well no I would have fought then, but I would almost rather have her running towards me with her sword high than stand beside her
[03:07:19]
Mylindra Doesscha:
there was a few times i needed you and you was not there
[03:07:32]
Mylindra Doesscha:
nto only me but many others there was counting on you
[03:07:44]
Storold Doesscha:
Well we are still alive aren't we?
[03:07:52]
Mylindra Doesscha:
and your feeling for her controled your rash thinking
[03:09:48]
Mylindra Doesscha:
you distant yourself through that cave until the end ...
[03:10:20]
Storold Doesscha:
Well I had to follow close there
[03:13:17]
Storold Doesscha:
*Sighs*I guess it was rather foolish of me... But what can I do to her... Tell her she is an idiot for saying what she did?
[03:13:21]
Mylindra Doesscha:
well i am over it now ..i just think you should change just because soemone doesn't like your ways ......i dont have a problem with her but i didnt hear the way she spoke to you i might have killed her with my bear hands myself
[03:13:59]
Storold Doesscha:
Well she called Lucinda a lot of bad things
[03:14:18]
Mylindra Doesscha:
Anyways....thats another story you should keep walking your path best fitfor you and if she crosses it again just stand proud
[03:14:51]
Mylindra Doesscha:
your better than bad mouthing toran no matter your feeling and thats why i love you
[03:15:12]
Storold Doesscha:
**Nods and smiles*
[03:15:22]
Mylindra Doesscha:
there is no point in it...it proves nothing
*After a trip around the Hallowlight Forest and The Sword Rusts Mylindra falls asleep on her legs and Storold uses the strands of the weave to get them home and carefully places her in their bed. Then takes out his journal to write a bit.*
How much can one hate a person... Enough to not be oneself, enough to hinder one from doing his outmost to help out the ones he cares about. I guess I should simply start ignoring her pressence since she is nothing but a human, a low life who can't even be compared to the lowest people I have seen so far. Speaking down like she did was simply just an act that can't be forgiven ever, however I will have to move on in my life and try to ignore such low lives, maybe I shouldn't hold this against all of them, but surely if they can't get themselves to correct her error then why bother about it.
*Storold grumbles to himself looking at the paper seemingly close to have some kind of fit when he notices his wife snoring behind him and softens up in a smile, putting his book away before wrapping his arms around Mylindra going to sleep himself*

*Storold walks back to Spellgard the day after his instrution session with Mylindra and Sala which didn't end all that well, but at least Sala got the grip of what she could do with banishment. He is now plotting how to teach her the art of counterspelling and dispelling effects made by opponents.
While he walks there one of the priests come forward to him asking to have a letter delivered to a Kalenth. He immidiatly sets out to complete the task, having heard the said person is on the training grounds outside town. He travels for a while to the far end of the training grounds with the letter and arrives at a spot he hasn't been at before.
Here he finds a man who he believes is Kalenth training with his shortsword with a few others. They are all dressed in light armor and seems to be practicing normal combat techniques.*
Storold :
*Nods politely to the people present and clears his throat looking to who he by the describtion he has believes is Kalenth*
Mister Kalenth? I have a letter for you.
Kalenth :
*Nods and smiles walking to Storold*
That is me, yes
Storold :
*Bows and hands the letter to Kalenth*
Kalenth :
Thank you sir,
*nods to his shield*
an protector I see.
Storold :
*Nods a little*
Yes I am a protector of the weave, and I take it you are part of the guardians.
Kalenth :
*Chuckles lightly looking to Storold*
So really... Do you think that? Interesting.. We aren't really part of any organisation, although we do pay tribute to the Lady of Spells and help her in the time of need
Storold :
*Looks frowning at Kaleth*
But ermm... Excuse me you seem like ordinary swordsmen to me and I am wondering excatly what links you to the Lady of Spells
Kalenth :
*He smiles and focuses his thought at his sword making a flame appear on it*
This is what links us to her
Storold :
*Looks even more oddly at Kalenth*
But I thought that the Runic Blade was destroyed when Pranzt fell
Kalenth :
*Nods sadly*
That it was, but it doesn't mean that there aren't any with the abbilities of that sect left in the church. Althought the organisation itself is dead now
Storold :
*Nods a little with his words*
Well my job here is done... But ehmm...
*Shuffels a bit looking down*
Can I watch you train? I have always found this quite facinating
Kalenth :
*Smiles and nods*
Of course all sessions are open to the general public, however this takes place so far from town that few people come by. So please have a deat and feel free to join us if you can train some of the same things
*Storold stays with Kalenth all that day and tries a few things involving spellcasting with armor, mostly for his own amusement since he doesn't use any gestures for casting anyway. But he follows the directions Kalenth is giving on imbuning ones blade with the weave rather interested taking notes and such seeming very facinated by all this. When the day is done he returns to the temple to meet up with the priest who sent him out.
After returning to the temple, and having made sure the priest knows Kalenth got his letter, to repost his note about the abjuration traning where the last session is going to take place a few days from now he heads home to his family and stays there the next few days up till the event. *

*Storold finds himself back in Spellgard after a few days off. He walks to the temple to see if there are any assignments the next week and signs himself up for a few minor tasks around town. He soon heads out to the training grounds to give his last lecture this time around to the people who signed up.
He finds himself with the people from before and starts by going over everything he had thaught in the precvious lessons trying the students as he goes and seems really pleased with the results.*
Storold :
*Looks them over with a smile*
You have done great so far and I am sure that with some training all of you will be able to make great use of abjuration in the future. This is the last session in this row of introductions. Today we will mostly be dealing with wards and then some finalising notes about dispelling and breaching which not all of us can do but still the weave around this spell is rather interesting.
The wards are also a really interesting topic as well, many things can be warded. The most used wards are for doors and such working excatly like traps however they are unseen to the untrained eye. You can work a lot of detail into this, from the simples being touch this and you explode to warding only against certain thing and in certain ways. Some have even refined the wards to a sort of door bell letting them know when someone wants to enter their house or tower.
But well we will just practice on something easier so for now you have your chairs and we can make a simple ward that makes a alarm go off in our mind letting you know if you are actually sitting on it, it is rather simply and a great way to start learing this I guess. After that we will look at ways to dispell the ward again and look into the weave around it before moving on to spell breach.
*Storold instrucs the people needing help and after they are done setting up the wards he shows them how they can sense the wards in the weave and how they can unweave them again. After they are done with this he starts explaining how mages cn strip protections easialy from their foes with the use of spell breach.
When the day is nearing its end Storold starts bringing out the main points of the last weeks teachings*
Storold :
*Nods a little to himself*
I hope these weeks have taught you some more on the magical path to further understanding of the weave, I know that some already knew most of this but I hope that they through the teaching of others had a chance to learn a few things as well.
So far I have only touched the beginning steps of becomming a better abjurer, in the end it is up to yourself to find more knowledge either by searching the weave or searching the books in the Broken Runes part of the arcane tower. There is a lot to learn and the path to a greater understanding of this is one I have yet to take the final steps off, but so far my journey have been full with wonderous discoveries as I am sure yours will be.
Just be sure that you use your magic to the betterment of the weave and through it the people of the world. May you walk with the blessing of the Lady of Spells
*Smiles and bows to the crowd*
*The crowd applauds and thanks Storold for sharing what he knew and then slowly disolves to go back to town a few staying to discuss a few things with Storold before heading off. After everyone is gone Storold heads back to the temple to pray before heading home to his family.*
Storold :
*Kneels infront of the altar*
Lady of Spells, grant me the wisdom to see further into the weave and gain a greater understanding of its workings so that I can train to serve the weave and you better. Let my research be succesfull and helpfull to the weave.
I remember my promise to you and I will uphold it no matter what to the end of my days, thankfull that you shine your blessings on me in return of my favors.
*Storold gets up and focuses on his tome sending himself home on the strands of the weave, hoping that Mylindra has dinner ready when he comes home.*

*Storold find himself in Spellgard after some days at home. He seems to be wandering the city rather aimlessly just chatting with the people he knows. He soon find himself in the protectors headquarters where he has promised to take a few younger protectors out to see the continent traveling from Spellgard to Blackford by the road rather than by portal.
They travel from Spellgard directly to Haven where they stay at Salas house for the night. She make a lovely supper for them and even cooking a nice breakfast and giving them some more food for their travel further north.
They pass Lorax and continue onwards toward Hlint while Storold tells the story about News, Scrying eyes and all the others involved with the Welkes. As they arrive in Hlint they books tree rooms at the Wild Surge Inn but doesn't order any food as they still have a lot left from the pack Sala made for them.
The day after they set out on the final part of their journey to Blackford in good spirits and having had little trouble on their way from Spellgard. They travel orderly through Llast and finally they come closer to the castle.*
Storold :
*Nods smiling as the Castle starts appearing on the horizon*
It has been a pleasure traveling with you I will find my own way home soon I just need to talk to some of the clergy before that.
*The protectors nod to Storold and moves to the protectors quarters inside the Castle getting ready to replace the few protectors stationed there as temple guards and helpers. Storold heads to some of the priests and asks for their blessings before heading back home with his tome.
A few days later he heads back to Spellgard to train a bit more. However this time he doesn't train with the ordinary protectors but rather with Kalenth and his spellswords. When he returns to Spellgard after a long day of training his fellow protectors asks him where he has been.*
Storold :
*Nods a little*
Well I have been training elsewere today, I wanted to get a hang of something besides casting. However I still honor my promise to Lucinda. But for now I will be training with the Spellswords every now and then and try to help out here to my best ability too.
*Storold portals between home and Spellgard every day as he stays at home and night and in the early morning with his Family.*
