*Storold travels back to Spellgard after some time away from there. People are rather concerned since it is the first time he has been away without letting them know that he was taking some time off. He assures them taht everything is fine and he just had a few problems he had to take care of.
He spends the next days training with his fellow protectors and Kalenth and his spellswords. However he doesn't make much progress since they train with the shortsword and he with the rapier. Even though the weave is alike he doesn't seem to be getting it right concerning the way it is applied.
After some days traveling back and forth between Clover and Spellgard he decides to take some time off with the children and Mylindra. He spends most of the days talking and playing with the children and keeping Mylindra company during her travels to her church and back.
One night after telling bedtime story to the twins and having kissed Sarah goodnight he finds himself in his library sitting with his journal.*

It has been some time since I have writen here. Things haven't been good lately, and I don't really know where I stand after this. I feel that the security I have in myself is just an escuse for still having Mylindra and the children around. But well it sort of works for now.
Another thing is that this Spellsword training interestest me, but it concerns my friends. To them it seems that I am taking a step away from my work concerning getting back to Lucinda as a full favored protector. However I see it more as a natural development of my skills to serve her better. I just wonder, how would she the Lady of Spells herself look at this.
However that is something only time can tell I will keep on praying that some day the Lady of Spells will see me fit for returning to her full favor so I can use her blessings on the land.

*Storold packs his journal away and heads to sleep himself.*

*Storold wanders restlessly around his living room at night seemingly rather stressed after some adventure that took him to the point of absolute happyness to the bottomless pit of depression in the span of a few hours.
He tried to remain calm as he put the little ones to sleep a few hour ago but now all the frustration and pain is flowing in like a huge tidal wave finally he stops moving about seeing that the time must be well above midnight he moves outside into the forest like a shadow seeking something special.
After half an hour of walking he finds himself at a lone tree standing in a small groove. Nothing is heard besides the night howls of the wolves and the wind blowing through the trees. Storold sighs as he kneels in front of the tree looking at the small silver plate he made himself for the tree to mark what it represents for him and his mother.*

Therhcha Doesscha, may Katia and Lucinda forever keep you safe where ever you are now so far away from the ones you loved

Storold :*Looks up towards the sky spotting the constallation he knows so well and bows his head sighing as a tear falls down his cheek* I have failed everything, everything I love, everything I believe in, everyone I cared about. I have done all the things that you would have taught me not to do had you not met me at such a late point in your life.
I have show today that I am not even capable of protecting what I hold most dear in my own life besides the weave so why would anyone trust me to protect that from harm.
After all this I just feel like giving in and go to join the others at the void. Just drifting there for some time untill I and all my failures are forgotten here so I can finally disappear into nothingness.

*The wind picks up and some leaves fall from the trees around Storold. He feels the chill of the cold autumn wind and shives slightly. Slowly he begins walking back with heavy steps towards his warm livingroom and the house where the rest of his family except Mylindra is staying.
As he hangs his cloak on the wall and gets out of his wet armor soaked in blood and rain he falls down at the pillows by the fireplace and fall into a restless sleep.
He twist and turns sleeping halfway awake, images from his life passing by as he closes his eyes. All the great and bad moments that have been had up till this point. Images of dead and pain, flowers and kisses in the morning. In the end he sees his father lying in his bed in the final hours where Storold and his mother stood there both with tears on their cheeks looking at the man that meant so much to both of them in different ways.
Therhcha reaches out for Storolds hand and holds it looking up at his son, smiling as much as the situation allows him to.*

Therhcha : Storold, you are our only child, taken away from us at such an early age and now I am being taken away from you just as you were getting to know me from years of seperation.*Coughs violently and breathes deeply with a low hissing sound*
Promise me one thing, just this one...

*His voice trails off and he closes his eyes focusing on his breathing for some minutes while Storold and Ardrund looks worried to him thinking he migth never open his eyes again.*

Therhcha :*Coughs again and opens his eyes slightly*Do your best, raise a family, make you name one that your friends trust and your enemies fear. You have it in you to become something great, it is not only through your service to Lucinda you are great you are great in yourself, expand your magic and your skills, walk the path ahead of you with your head high and not just bowed down because life is against you. Don't forget your past, but don't let it return to you like a ghost haunting you and making you want to live like you did, you are a free man. Only bound by your words and love for something greater than what you find here, untill you find that special one and get bound here too in love with every moment of your life.

*Terhcha closes his eyes and slowly he drifts away into a sleep that turns to the final rest over the night as Storold and Ardrund sit by his side looking sadly at him.*

*Storold jerks awake and eyes the dying fire in the fireplace and goes outside in the early morning mist to chop some wood before he returns to cook up breakfast for the children. Storold feeds Sarah and watches the boys eat quickly before they jump outside to play in the forest around the house with Ardrund as a lookout for any hostile bugbears or giants.*

*Storold sits working on his strange notebook from all his years of study. He seems to be searching for something as he flips the pages almost in anger. All in a sudden he throws the book onto a shelf.*

Storold :*Sighs and sinks into his chair*Useless... Just useless....

*As the rain ticks against the windows Storold wakes up in the middle of the night hearing a wolf howl in the distance. He rubs his neck and his eyes trying to recall what he was doing hours before.
He looks to his shelves eyes the book hanging on the edge of one of them with a sigh. He heads back to bed trying to sleep but he twists and turns still seeing the book on the shelf. In the morning after he is done he travels out into the forest to find a fine oak that he cuts down and turns into sawdust inside their barn.
After the hard work he prepares the sawdust to be made into paper and slowly works with it over the paper over the next few days while he sends some of the left over wood to Vale with a note asking if Jacchri can work on it to construct a wooden bookcover from it with his skills.
While Storold waits for and answer he tries to get to Spellgard whenever he can training with the protectors as usual although he feels something is missing there too so he soon finds himself staying at home again walking the forest looking for interesting things.
After some days of mindless giant poking and what else he could find to do he finally decides to write another letter which is sent by bird the same day and yet another sent some hour later.
As Storold walks the forest that day he starts working on his flame weapon spell. Seemingly just practicing it over and over again with little change. He then tries mixing the weave of his greater magic weapon spell looking interested at the effect.
After a while he heads back home for Supper hugging Mylindra tightly as he comes home looking more happy than ever for some reason.*

*Storold sit in Hempstead one day as Sala finds him as he has asked her to do in his letter to her.*

[19:30:24] Storold Doesscha: *Smiles*Hello Sala
[19:30:29] Sala Stonehill: Greetings, Storold
[19:30:38] Sala Stonehill: How are you?
[19:31:01] Storold Doesscha: I am pretty well, just back in town too take a little time off from the children
[19:31:01] Sala Stonehill: I got your letter...
[19:31:15] Storold Doesscha: Ohh... I hope you didn't mind me sending you letters like that
[19:31:22] Sala Stonehill: Not at all
[19:31:43] Storold Doesscha: How are you by the way, I forgot to ask
[19:32:19] Sala Stonehill: I'm fine, thanks
[19:32:37] Storold Doesscha: Busy working as usual?
[19:33:11] Sala Stonehill: Yes, mostly getting bodak teeth for Jako.
[19:33:21] Storold Doesscha: Ohh.. That must be some task
[19:33:33] Storold Doesscha: I heard he used a lot of them from Ferrit
[19:34:05] Sala Stonehill: Yes, he does.  He tries to keep the whole guild supplied with good potions, and me, too.
[19:34:22] Storold Doesscha: **Smiles and nods*
[19:34:55] Storold Doesscha: **Pulls his hood down taking a deep breath before he speaks*
[19:40:32] Sala Stonehill: It's still such a delight to sit under the stars
[19:40:36] Storold Doesscha: I have been wondering about something for some weeks... I have recently met some spellswords in Spellgard, and well I found their skill very interesting
[19:40:41] Storold Doesscha: Ohh... Indeed
[19:41:37] Sala Stonehill: Spellswords?  I'm not sure I know one....
[19:41:47] Sala Stonehill: Hello, Omer!
[19:41:55] Storold Doesscha: *Smiles*Hello Omer
[19:41:56] Omer: *SMILES* Hello
[19:43:04] Storold Doesscha: Well spellswords use the weave to enchant their weapons to make them hit with different elemental power, and some even change the structure of the blade and makes it hurt your foes a lot more than usual
[19:44:12] Sala Stonehill: They can do more than Darkfire and Greater Magic Weapon?
[19:44:53] Storold Doesscha: Yes, it make the weapon more flamy, cold or electrical than usual
[19:45:15] Sala Stonehill: Oh, that is nice!  There are times when flame just doesn't help
[19:45:38] Storold Doesscha: And well I think their flames will empower the darkfire spell making it more harmfull
[19:45:53] Sala Stonehill: That's nice, too!
[19:46:26] Sala Stonehill: They must be very powerful fighters
[19:46:46] Storold Doesscha: But well... I found their abilities in the weave quite interesting... But I am a protector
[19:47:23] Sala Stonehill: Seems to me that such skills would help you protect...
[19:48:10] Storold Doesscha: They would.. But I fear they would take me away from the grace of Lucinda and thereby weakening the service I do for her
[19:49:06] Sala Stonehill: I don't see how.  Lucinda encourages the use of her Weave, and to use it in her service is even better.
[19:49:33] Sala Stonehill: Have you spoken with anyone at the temple?
[19:50:25] Storold Doesscha: No.. I have spoken a bit ot my friends in the protectors, and they seem to frown a little about my choice to train with the spellsword
[19:51:27] Storold Doesscha: But they aren't disagreeing with it either, they just think it is a strange idea
[19:52:24] Sala Stonehill: *grins* I think they're just jealous because they didn't think of it first
[19:52:40] Storold Doesscha: Are you sure? It could be sort of possible you know
[19:53:59] Sala Stonehill: Well, perhaps you should seek Lucinda's guidance?  A fast, a purification ceremony and a pilgrimage?
[19:54:21] Storold Doesscha: Maybe... But I am not sure she is ready for that yet
[19:54:47] Sala Stonehill: And I think you must wait until she turns her face to you again.
[19:55:17] Storold Doesscha: Yes.. But would she accept my choice, that is what I am worried about
[19:56:11] Sala Stonehill: Studying the skills would do you no harm and would help future students.
[19:56:26] Storold Doesscha: **Nods a little*
[19:56:37] Sala Stonehill: The decision to actually take that step though....
[19:56:58] Sala Stonehill: Hello
[19:57:03] Storold Doesscha: I guess that is a good idea, but I am kind of fearing the purification ceremony, I am far from being close to having proved anything to her
[19:57:11] Storold Doesscha: *Smiles*Hello Thorn
[19:57:20] Thorn Thistletoe (the fifth): oh hello your worshipness
[19:57:48] Thorn Thistletoe (the fifth): you still collecting from collectors
[19:58:00] Sala Stonehill: I'm not sure it's a matter of proving worthiness, Storold.  How can anyone be truly worthy of a goddess's favor?
[19:58:33] Thorn Thistletoe (the fifth): worthy of a Goddess, Sorold, why I am sure he is and no mistake
[19:58:34] Sala Stonehill: It's more a matter of willingness, to submit your will to Hers.
[19:58:57] Storold Doesscha: I guess that is true..

*They speak a bit more about other things before Sala heads out to do some more work.*

*Storold sits by the fireplace with Mylindra, the children are playing around them and they are talking looking happy to eachother. Storold tells the children a bedtime story and kisses Mylindra before heading to the library for some research before bedtime for him.
He heads into his library where he again spots the out of place book. He sort of shrugs walking past it picking up his book about basical transmutation. He quickly find the pages he is looking for and takes a piece of the oak paper he made before and starts noting from the book. After a while he finishes his notes and looks to an old iron rapier he found. Slowly he focuses the weave around the blade altering the surface slightly. He gently touches it at gets a small spark of electricity in return.
As he touches it the weave unfolds itself and the pattern behind the enchantment itself is lost. Storold sighs a little and looks to the notes he made slowly applying the weave again. He repeats the process a few times before looking over the rapier and tossing it into a corner rather frustrated. Then he packs the parcement away and walks to the bedroom to get some rest.
The next day he heads back to Spellgard in search of Kalenth and also to report to the protectors headquarters. He find Kalenth after asking around the training grounds. Kalenth is studying in the transmutation part of the arcane tower where Storold imidiatly goes to look for him. He soon finds him in the library appearently studying some books.
Storold tells him about his recent problems with enchanting his rapier but sadly Kalenth can't offer him much advice but tells him about a book that might be usefull in his further effords. After this rather fruitless meeting Storold heads to the protectors headquarters where he tries to see if there are any jobs for him this week. When his search turns out negative her heads home to study the book again trying to figure out what he can learn from this new source of information.
After some days something hits him and he writes a letter which he soon sends with a messenger falcon. Other than that his week is spend with studies at home.*

*Storold spends most of his week off with his new book and his notes not really speaking much with his children or Mylindra. His cover for the book arrives the next day, skillfully made by Jacc with leather covering the wood. Storold completes the book and flips through all the blank pages smiling a little to himself. After he has done this he takes his old note book and stashes under his table since one of the legs are a bit too short.
After the week is gone he moves back to Spellgard and stayes there for a few days talking to people and such before he heads out into the desert for some time. He spends his time there praying at night time to the circle of eight. He spends the days wandering and trying to focus his magic on the old iron rapier while walking through the hot desert sand.
Finally he finds himself in Argas where he delives some of the letters a local wizard from Spellgard had to his friend there and buys a few more books he had heard should be helpfull. After that he heads back to Spellgard through the desert repeating his daily patern from the trip to Argas.
As soon as he gets back to Spellgard he delives the letters he got in return and teleports home to spend the weekend with his family in Clover. He doesn't think muh about the research or anything at the time just tries to focus on what he has there.*

*Storold finds himself wondering about everything and slowly after having enjoyed every second he spend at home he starts longing after being back in Spellgard. So one morning he sets out through the portal to get to Spellgard to talk to everyone and be in the magical town. Storold heads in through the main gate greating everyone there.
He walks to the headquarters and talks a bit with the other protectors before heading out to the training grounds to train some with them. Even though he just trains his fighting techniques he also tries to imagine how it would be like if he had to wrap the strands of the weave around his rapier as he uses it to avoid strikes and strike his opponents. At the end of the day he tries a final sparring against Kalenth who he found further out on the training grounds with his spellsword.
This time he tries applying the minor electrical enchantment he has been working on to his rapier. However the fighting becomes rather straining on Storold since he has to focus too much on keeping the weave up while Kalenth has mastered it to a rather high degree. Storold ends up loosing the fight very exausted from keeping the weave around his blade up.
Storold congratulates Kalenth on his victory but is rather pained inside because of his failure. However he heads back to talk over what happened during the day at a tavern near the Protectors headquarters. After he has told a few stories from his life as a protector he heads home to Mylindra very happy about how the day turned out.
As he returns to Spellgard the next day he walks to the temple to post a note and then rides off to post it in the Stormcrest Shack too while sending another person with a similar note to Blackford.*

*Storold stands breathing heavily after having tried to focus on his fighting once again. He is exaused after being beat over and over again and still he has to keep on trying. "Storold you are holding the rapier wrong, again" Angela sounds partuly frustrated partly amused by Storolds lack on knowledge in the use of a rapier. He tries again and again to dublicate the things Angela is showing him.
After a long day Angela tells him to work a bit more on his balance with the rapier itself making the strikes more precise and powerfull. Further more he should focus more on his fencing instead of looking around at everything else or having his thought drift away to some research or Mylindra.*

*Storold walks into Spellgard after a long week in the arena and at Alanthas house in Hempstead. He has been working very hard but still he is no way near where he wished to be. But still he had learned some rather important points from Angela but still he lacks the concentration on his weapon over the things he usually focuses on.
He greets the people he meets on his way as he walks towards the protectors headquarters. Before he joins the others he goes to check on Saida the enchantress from Hempstead being held there. After making sure that she is still unable to break the wards he talk to the other protectors about his week. They are rather amazed when they hear that he has been training outside their program. But they understand that Angela is by far the most skilled with the rapier around.
Storold goes to pray at the temple before heading back out of time with a few protectors he travels through the desert like before and tells them about the halflings who lives there and points the circle of eight out for one of the younger members who has some trouble with finding it outside Spellgard.
As they travel further south he shows them through the dapplegreen and further down towards Vehl. Here Storold joins Mylindra, Ethan and Jonnathan who are in town for the service in the Rofirienite church. Storold walk with all of them to Tariles house where his children play with the children there after a long day there Storold leaves the new guard to take over and wishes the others a safe journey to Spellgard as he follows his family home.
There he spends most of his days researching the transmutation book again and again more succesfull with his experiments than before but still the charge and the cold seems to disappear as he lets the weapon touch something. One time he does make a lasting enchating but it fades after a little time and is signifigantly weaker than the ones he had made before.
Other than that he tried to encourage his boys to try to take their small tricks to a higher level. He helps them play tricks on both their mother and people comming by the house, no harmfull ones but they surely make people a little upset before they light up in laughter about the whole thing.*

*Storold and the group arrives in Audira after a long journey where Lex have told the about his families story and the village they used to live in and the story about how the gnolls invaded the Haven Mines.*

[03:20:25] Lexor Gravedigger:  so storold how about a story from you?
[03:20:40] Storold Doesscha:  Well I have a few I can tell before night falls and we can see the circle
[03:20:53] Lexor Gravedigger:  *takes his helm off with his right hand and keeps it under his arm*
[03:21:16] Storold Doesscha:  But lets move to the water... It is sort of colder there
[03:21:23] Sala Stonehill: Where does that boat go?
[03:21:32] Lexor Gravedigger:  personaly I don't mind the heat
[03:21:32] Abigail Firesteed: Yes. I'd like to see what you have for sale.
[03:21:37] Storold Doesscha:  *Pulls his armor off*
[03:21:41] Lexor Gravedigger:  but the water was always fun
[03:22:12] Storold Doesscha:  **Sits by the water waiting for everyone*
[03:22:27] Abigail Firesteed: *sits*
[03:22:39] Lexor Gravedigger:  *whistles as he goes for a swim*
[03:22:46] Sala Stonehill: *sits*
[03:23:09] Abigail Firesteed: *sits8
[03:23:14] Abigail Firesteed: *sits*
[03:23:49] Storold Doesscha:  So well...
[03:24:01] Lexor Gravedigger:  *while he does some backcrawl* story?
[03:24:02] Storold Doesscha:  I have a rather dark story which is best told in the daylight
[03:24:18] Storold Doesscha:  Sala has heard it but I hope she doesn't mind
[03:24:39] Sala Stonehill: Go ahead, Storold.
[03:24:53] Lexor Gravedigger:  swims back toward the shore and sits in the water near them*
[03:25:26] Storold Doesscha:  Well once several decades ago there was some magical mountains... Although filled with magic and wonder they were also inhabited by some hostile giants
[03:26:11] Storold Doesscha:  However the faithfull where still able to find their way to the mountains in their time of need, and they went there to worship and feel closer to the Lady as her presence were stronger there
[03:27:20] Storold Doesscha:  Even some adventures went there to gain some of the Ladys touch to restore an ancient artifact that would help them in one of their adventures
[03:27:38] Lexor Gravedigger:  where was that mountain?
[03:27:44] Storold Doesscha:  I will get to that
[03:29:05] Storold Doesscha:  You could compare the mountains to Folians Forest or Ilsares Forest on Voltrex
[03:29:06] Lexor Gravedigger:  **nods*
[03:30:00] Storold Doesscha:  A point where the powers of Lucinda was strong, however not all remains good in this world and sadly these mountains where one of the things that feel to evil... More specifically the counsil
[03:31:07] Storold Doesscha:  This counsil is ancient... Older than most things on the surface and definatly older than almost everyone below
[03:32:49] Storold Doesscha:  It contains the most powerfull dark elves the world have ever seen, they are themselves capable of laying waste to cities down there... One of the known members the Fletcher was known for killing a great white dragon living on Bastil single handedly
[03:33:39] Lexor Gravedigger:  *raises and lowers his eyebrows in surprise*
[03:34:28] Sala Stonehill: They are still alive?
[03:34:28] Storold Doesscha:  So the power of these individuals were not to be taken lightly, however they became too powerfull. And slowly their interest in the world began to fade, they left the Deep, leaving it to the chaos it is now and went into a sleep like state
[03:35:03] Storold Doesscha:  Well depends really, they are not doing anything to the world so you could say they are dead, but they are still out there somewhere
[03:35:47] Storold Doesscha:  More specifically they inhabit a plane of shadows, a place where their dreaming is undisturbed, for most parts
[03:37:02] Storold Doesscha:  However one day their dreaming became focused on a certain spot, the mountains where Lucinda showed the circle very clearly and let the wonders of her weave become crystal clear
[03:38:01] Storold Doesscha:  As their dreaming became more focused the planes began touching and as they did the negative energy of the shadowy plane streamed out over the mountain range, leaving it in a horrible state of darkness
[03:38:56] Storold Doesscha:  Even the weave were torn by this sudden overload of negative energy to one part of it and the changing patterns started acting all wrong and twisted the weave to make all magic that was so beautiful there before unpredictable and twisted
[03:39:58] Storold Doesscha:  But not only that... The counsil sent forth servants to secure the area, wether knowingly or not they affected a group of adventures by leaving a mark on them... A permanent spidershaped scar
[03:40:32] Storold Doesscha:  The adventures tried to rid themselves of this and in their effords they stumbled on the changes in the mountains as they were happening
[03:40:58] Storold Doesscha:  They moved forward, not only to save the mountains but also the nearby town, Wayfare
[03:41:54] Sala Stonehill: What happened to them?
[03:42:04] Storold Doesscha:  As they traveled deeper into the mountains and fought many horrors in the unimaginable darkness they finally found the center of the trouble
[03:42:56] Storold Doesscha:  They found a rather... Interesting allie in their effords to save the town, and by striking a rather cunning deal, I think this part was never told to me rather clear, they were able to get the planes moving away from eachother again
[03:43:38] Storold Doesscha:  However they made some kind of promise to the Mother of Darkness
[03:44:40] Storold Doesscha:  So they couldn't tell... And I am not sure they can do that even now about their deeds in the mountains, however one who shall remain unnamed so far told me about the whole thing, hoping the promise was forgotten or far away from comming back to him now
[03:45:30] Sala Stonehill: What did they promise?  Do you know?
[03:45:33] Storold Doesscha:  However they got their mark of the spider removed after some years by other means which this tale doesn't include... But the mountains and the weave there, it was left in darkness and broken
[03:45:54] Storold Doesscha:  I am not sure, but it seems that some of them believe their deal is off now after all these years
[03:46:48] Storold Doesscha:  I know there are many holes in the story, but it has been told to me in bit by various persons
[03:46:48] Sala Stonehill: Years would mean nothing to the Mother of Darkness, nor to the Dark Council
[03:47:14] Abigail Firesteed: those mountains are so close to wayfare...
[03:47:18] Abigail Firesteed: and the broken forest
[03:47:25] Abigail Firesteed: are the 2 connected?
[03:47:30] Storold Doesscha:  Well the Dark counsil aren't interested in this world, they seem to live in the belief, and many say they are right, that they could conquer all of the world if they wanted to
[03:47:31] Abigail Firesteed: i meant hte broken forest
[03:47:51] Storold Doesscha:  **Shakes his head*The broken forest is related to the story about Selian and Shadow I believe
[03:47:55] Lexor Gravedigger:  the broken forest is an other story Abi
[03:48:04] Abigail Firesteed: oh..
[03:48:13] Lexor Gravedigger:  the seven witch sisters
[03:48:42] Storold Doesscha:  **Nods a little*I wouldn't excatly call them witches, but well they were different
[03:48:59] Lexor Gravedigger:  thats how i was told it long ago
[03:49:05] Lexor Gravedigger:  so long i forgot most of the details
[03:49:11] Storold Doesscha:  **Nods a little*
[03:49:19] Storold Doesscha:  Well back to the story I guess...
[03:49:25] Lexor Gravedigger:  either that or im getting to old and losing my memory
[03:49:58] Lexor Gravedigger:  **nods to storold*
[03:50:33] Storold Doesscha:  The mountains, they remains tainted to this day as does the weave, several expeditions have tried to remove the teint or cure the broken weave but all have failed till this point
[03:50:46] Lexor Gravedigger:  *looks at the sunset as he listens
[03:51:26] Storold Doesscha:  The Beloved of Lucinda suggested long time ago to me that the weave could be cured by loading a charge of possitive energy into the right spot at the right time
[03:51:41] Storold Doesscha:  However when this time was she could only speculate about
[03:52:35] Storold Doesscha:  And well.... For now these mountains will bear the name the Dark Peaks of the Watchers, named after the evil that lurks in there....
[03:52:50] Lexor Gravedigger:  *starts to shiver a little as the sun disapear and the frigid cold falls onto teh desert*
[03:53:21] Storold Doesscha:  Known by most for being a place of constant darkness and with a weave torn to pieces by the counsils wishes
[03:54:04] Storold Doesscha:  Hopefully this will change in our lifetime.... And the circle of eight will again shine on these mountains
[03:54:59] Storold Doesscha:  I guess that is how the story ends for now.. And it seems to be just in time..
[03:55:01] Abigail Firesteed: no stars tonite
[03:55:04] Storold Doesscha:  **Looks up to the evening sky
[03:55:16] Storold Doesscha:  *Sighs a little*
[03:55:18] Lexor Gravedigger:  *lais on his back to look up*
[03:55:25] Storold Doesscha:  Well I really hope it clears up...
[03:55:32] Abigail Firesteed: me too
[03:55:34] Lexor Gravedigger:  its still early give it time
[03:56:12] Storold Doesscha:  Let me see then... The circle of eight
[03:56:20] Lexor Gravedigger:  *looks up at the sky, spot check*
[03:56:21] Lexor Gravedigger: Spot Check:  17 + 4 = 21
[03:56:59] Storold Doesscha:  Before we see it, it is known to represent the eight schools of magic, however no one really knows which start represents which school, however there are many theories about it
[03:58:22] Storold Doesscha:  It is a really odd constalation some would say, as the stars light up in an unknown pattern, some would say that it represents when certain parts of the weave are strong and so on, but yet there are no evidence of it
[03:59:25] Storold Doesscha:  Even more strange is that once every now and then the whole constalation lights up and bathes the world in a blue light, the constalation itself lighting brighter than any other star
[04:00:09] Storold Doesscha:  This is known as Lucindas Flare, the most important spiritual celebration of the whole religion
[04:01:18] Storold Doesscha:  As much as the clergy as possible gather in Spellgard and goes from here to all the surounding towns to spread the word of Lucindas splendour and the wonders of the weave
[04:01:18] Sala Stonehill: That would seem to be a good time to try to fix the Dark Peak
[04:01:27] Lexor Gravedigger:  indeed
[04:02:01] Storold Doesscha:  Indeed, but there is one big problem with that, as everything else about the constalation there is no known pattern to this behaviour
[04:02:36] Lexor Gravedigger:  has any one truly studied it .. probably a life time achievement but was it tried?
[04:03:18] Storold Doesscha:  Yes many have tried, by I doubt there is any answer, not even the ones who have met Lucinda would have one and I think Lucinda wouldn't have one either
[04:03:43] Lexor Gravedigger:  *chuckles a bit* as moving and changing as the weave is then
[04:03:45] Sala Stonehill: How long does a Flare last?
[04:03:48] Storold Doesscha:  The weave teaches us that the road we are walking is one of constant change, like the constalation and everything magical
[04:04:20] Storold Doesscha:  Just one night Sala
[04:05:03] Sala Stonehill: Some few are gifted to see the future.  Might one of those help you find the time?
[04:05:13] Lexor Gravedigger:  *keeps on looking up at the sky, for the stars described by storold, spot check*
[04:05:14] Lexor Gravedigger: Spot Check:  2 + 4 = 6
[04:05:18] Storold Doesscha:  **Shakes his head*The future is changing all the time too
[04:05:32] Abigail Firesteed: *sits*
[04:05:50] Storold Doesscha:  As I said, even if you asked Lucinda she wouldn't give you an answer
[04:06:03] Sala Stonehill: Perhaps the lights from town are obscuring the stars.  We could venture out of town....
[04:06:07] Lexor Gravedigger:  she may hav eit but those wh asked may not have been worthy enough
[04:06:40] Storold Doesscha:  *Smiles*I am certain everyone I know of who has actually seen her was worthy enough of that answer
[04:06:54] Storold Doesscha:  Especially the Choosen and the Beloved
[04:07:16] Storold Doesscha:  And well I think we should try Sala
[04:07:23] Storold Doesscha:  *Stands slowly*
[04:07:25] Lexor Gravedigger:  *stands*

[04:08:53] Storold Doesscha:  *Looks up*
[04:09:18] Lexor Gravedigger:  *puts an old robe over his clothes stoping the light from shining*
[04:09:35] Storold Doesscha:  Hmm...
[04:09:43] Storold Doesscha:  Given the time of year
[04:09:49] Sala Stonehill: I guess we'll have to go further into the desert....
[04:09:55] Storold Doesscha:  *Looks up at the sky*
[04:09:57] Storold Doesscha:  Yeah
[04:10:03] Lexor Gravedigger:  *standing away from the others and their light he looks up*
[04:10:07] Storold Doesscha:  Just wondering where it might be

[04:12:20] Storold Doesscha:  *Points to some unseen things on the sky and frowns*
[04:12:33] Lexor Gravedigger:  *looks at where he points*
[04:12:41] Storold Doesscha:  It should be right there...
[04:12:52] Lexor Gravedigger:  *spot check*

[04:16:07] Storold Doesscha:  Well the reason why I wanted to see it from here is that well... My mentor saw the circle for the first time in her life here
[04:16:37] Sala Stonehill: Who is your mentor, Storold?
[04:16:39] Lexor Gravedigger:  i think you see it now Storold
[04:16:53] Storold Doesscha:  Matilda, one of the greatest protectors there has ever been
[04:17:05] Storold Doesscha:  Even with her rather confusing life she was able to make a difference
[04:17:18] Lexor Gravedigger:  never heard of her
[04:17:20] Sala Stonehill: I met her once, when I was very young
[04:17:34] Abigail Firesteed: me either....but hten..i dont know alot of poeple
[04:17:37] Storold Doesscha:  She isn't all that well known outside the church

[04:17:59] Lexor Gravedigger:  hmm hold on..
[04:18:03] Lexor Gravedigger:  dark hair
[04:18:06] Lexor Gravedigger:  a bit small

[04:18:42] Lexor Gravedigger:  is she still around that sounds liek someone I saw my sister talked to 6 or 7 years ago
[04:19:07] Storold Doesscha:  I am not sure... She spends most of her time in Blackford now, her traveling days are over
[04:19:34] Lexor Gravedigger:  might not be her then it was in hlint
[04:19:39] Storold Doesscha:  I think she is at peace now in service of someone she can devote her whole life to
[04:19:54] Storold Doesscha:  Ohh... Well she was still around then
[04:20:20] Lexor Gravedigger:  then thats her
[04:20:33] Lexor Gravedigger:  no wonder my sister seemed content after talking with her
[04:21:04] Storold Doesscha:  She was wearing a dress which was blue and black?
[04:21:25] Lexor Gravedigger:  that a bit a long time ago but i do remember she had blue yes
[04:22:04] Lexor Gravedigger:  its about at that time that my sister started to take th worship of lucinda to heart
[04:22:04] Storold Doesscha:  *Nods a little*Well it would take ages to list all the great things she had done through her life
[04:22:16] Storold Doesscha:  Ohh.. Wait, I think I remember
[04:22:38] Storold Doesscha:  She talked to Eldarwen too, the Beloved now
[04:22:59] Lexor Gravedigger:  I don't know about that but if you say so
[04:23:39] Storold Doesscha:  I am pretty sure, I was standing close by when she talked to her. She helped her with some of the dogma issues as well
[04:24:10] Lexor Gravedigger:  that good, I'm happy she found a faith she is well in
[04:24:41] Storold Doesscha:  *Smiles and nods*Well I haven't seen her much lately but I remember her strong love of magic from back when I saw her regulary
[04:25:08] Lexor Gravedigger:  oh she is around, just busy with the teens

[04:26:02] Storold Doesscha:  Or well I thought she lived there because that is where I see her...
[04:26:10] Storold Doesscha:  Well I didn't know where she lived...
[04:26:25] Lexor Gravedigger:  Her husband has a house in half lake
[04:26:45] Storold Doesscha:  Ohh! My mistake... Makes sense why I don't see her in Hempstead then
[04:27:31] Lexor Gravedigger:  she is around hempstead a bit more now adays, picking up on hre crafting for the angels
[04:27:45] Storold Doesscha:  *Nods a little*No wonder I was confused...

[04:28:58] Storold Doesscha:  Well I need a moment alone before we move on...
[04:29:09] Lexor Gravedigger:  aye no problem
[04:29:36] Lexor Gravedigger:  *removes his robe and puts his armor over his cothes*
[04:29:55] Storold Doesscha:  **Looks up at the stars while he kneels mumbling something to himself*

[04:34:57] Lexor Gravedigger:  thanks
[04:35:49] Storold Doesscha: *Storolds voice raises a bit and you can hear him clearly now*
[04:36:19] Storold Doesscha:  Lady of the Weave, I have heard your call and I will answer.
[04:36:39] Storold Doesscha:  I vow to be your servant and protect those who serve you.
[04:36:48] Storold Doesscha:  I shall defend Your Faith, Your Faithful and the Weave to the best of my abilities.
[04:37:01] Storold Doesscha:  I shall seek out those who corrupt the Weave and bring them to justice.
[04:37:09] Storold Doesscha:  I shall accompany and protect those who work in Your name.
[04:37:35] Storold Doesscha:  *Takes a deep breath and says loud and clearly*By my word, I am Yours.
[04:38:24] Storold Doesscha:  *Stands slowly as the sun begins making the stars fade*
[04:38:35] Storold Doesscha:  I guess we should get going...?

*The group travels to Storolds house where everyone go their seperate ways.*

*Storold sits at home in his library with his journal and the newly made book infront of him he sighs a little closing the book after having noted several important points about transmutation and especially abjuration in it. Now his attention turns to his journal as he begins to write.*

Well many things in my research has been troubling me, I still need to get a proper grip on the rapier and I still need to be better at making the weave last. The longest I have had it going so far was a few seconds and there it was weak and not as powerfull as it should be.
Other than that, well... I have gotten in above my head now I am afraid that I will have to fail something I promised a long time ago to keep peace, but well I would so much like to see it through, however I can't do what I have to to make things right.
Other things, well I have thought about contacting Voltrex on some matters, but I would like to have my status in Spellgard cleared before I travel there to persue the knowledge I need to exell in my casting. So far I have this enchanting to figure out and that is causing me enough problems as it is.

*Storold kind of sighs but then he look out the window to see the clear evening sky and the circle of eight and all in a sudden a smile appears as he hummingly starts working on the old iron rapier again focusing on the enchanting of cold today.*

//Orriginal letter//

A report from the world as I see it

After our talk at Spellgard I have decided to put some of my archive at home in Clover into writing dedicating this report to the state of the world we live in and the weave that wraps inself around it.

The places where the weave is/has been hurt

There are a number of places where the weave is hurting, some are extensivly mapped by our fine clergy. Others are forgotten and not visited much.
So far I have heard to three areas on Mistone, the first one has been there for quite some time. The Dark Peaks of the Watchers continues to be hurt after the accident that happened up there, thankfully this isn't spreading to the surounding areas but still the place has a disturbing about of cluttered weave. The other two places has been cleared within months or so of them occouring. Here I speak of the small wild magic sourge in the Swamps just outside Hlint and the Welke farm outside Llast. Other than that the weave seems fine on Mistone.
Alindor has been spared from the huge disasters except the tower outside Homestead in which a major magical rift was caused. This was cleared a few years after by some of the people who caused it with a little help from me. So the weave is still recovering in that area, but it will mend soon.
Dregar has the Great Rift and the Thunderpeaks, I am not sure if it is the weave itself or some powerfull caster who is stopping it in either of these locations. Safe to say though these places has been bad for quite a while and continues to show signs of damage.
The Rohen islands are also home of a few disturbances, the Emerald Crypt itself where the lich seems to be holding the weave back in part of his crypt for his own protection. And then there is the old ruins where the strands of time slowly has covered the reason why the weave is all cluttered and hurt there.
On Belinara everything seems fine on the surface I have yet to see a place wher the weave is hurting, but I am sure I just haven't searched enough there but we will see, so far there are plenty of things to do on all the other continents and if we work together I am sure the weave will flow freely over all of the lands soon enough.

The general standing amoung the population

While our church stands against great challenges on the front of the betterment of the weave we also face a problem with reaching the people. Many suspects that we are an exclusive club who doesn't want anyone learn in the name of the lady. They question our metods and generally just spreads lies and bad rumours about Lucinda. So I would suggest that we do more to gain more members of the faith instead of just leaning back being content with the people we have now in Spellgard and Blackford but try our best to spread the word of Lucinda as the caring godess who makes sure that magic is used by her good intentions.
Maybe opening up a few seminars and such at Spellgard for the curious would be a good idea and even more so would it be working on a gathering by one of the shrines we have around the world. Other than that we seem to be at a good standing with most and our effords will be praised as soon as we have worked to make the weave flow freely everywhere.

Our own organisation

Well as I see it now we are strong when it comes to this, however many aren't placed in the right possition and people does little but train for something forth comming. I suggest that we try moving out to strike threats before the emerge and moves a little quicker than we have before as long as we remember to do everything we do in the best interest of the Lady herself. So far I like what I see back in Spellgard we just have to make sure that we keep the wheel moving and end up training ourselves for something that may never come while the weave continues to be hurt and suffer without our pressence where it is needed.

*Signed*Storold Doesscha, Protector of the Weave in the Chapter of Protection

*Some time after Storold sent his letter a protector stops him and sends him to Clari who has a reply to him*
Protector Storold Doesscha:

Thank you for your thorough report and for continuing to follow up on these threats to our Lady and Her Weave. I have passed copies of your report onto both the Ardhon Gis and and the Akh'faern Gis, as well as to the Tower, though without a proper Caller, I don't know how much help they will be.  Of course the Wards have been observing the more significant and well-known disturbances, but your additional information and assistance on the lesser and more temporary problems have been very valuable and appreciated.

I have read with interest your thoughts on our image and our standing within the population.  To some degree, I surely share these perspectives.  After some reflection, it occurred to me that often, the best way to win the support of the population, and thereby increasing Her faithful as well, is to show by example, not lecture. It is unfortunate that on this continent, there is such a strong presence of Her enemy, who does not apparently shy away from making his will known to the population.  The dark times, which are thankfully behind us, seem to have given the people a desire for that which he offers.  Our best counter for this simply to show people by example, to show them Her gifts and Her generosity and to start them on a path toward a love of the Weave and all its bounties.  That is, after all, what we are protecting.

Even so, for our sect, a dedicated recruitment effort has been very effective in the past.  I encourage you to continue as you have been.

May Lucinda smile upon all your efforts,
Vairpelekt Jairen Trier

*Storold sits on the ship sailing from Vehl to Hempstead. He has just been told to leave for the time being by Tarile. He can return later though when he has cooled down. He takes out a piece of loose paper to write down his thoughts about the last few days.*

I give up... After all these years no one seems to trust me to anything, I finally got convinced that Muireann had no ill wishes for the children but I ended up lying her right up in the face because I simply lost my temper to a degree where it didn't really matter anymore.
I have much to learn from this but I can't really know if I should trust the people I were working with, some of the seemed to understand it to some degree while others just think I am being plain rude because I consider the safety of something they do not understand.
I do not trust anyone, well I trust Tarile, Muireann and Elladan with this, but no one else have yet seemed trustworthy enough to share anything with. I would love to share it more openly with the Lucindites but they seem more minded on having it shared with the whole world instead of keeping the thing down a bit for the time being.
For now though I just have to find a way to trust any part of that group which seems pretty determined about spreading the word against my will even if I willingly shared everything I knew except excat location of these outsiders.
