Can anyone recommend a decent gunsmith in the States?
« on: October 06, 2007, 01:32:10 PM »
Basically my Father is looking for Winchester spares for a 94E357 under lever rifle so can anyone recommend a decent gunsmith who would be willing to ship to the UK.

Thanks!

I'm sure there are hundreds in Texas... too bad I don't know any... nor am I in the right circles anymore, circles that could find the right person for me.

Heck, I don't even own a gun anymore, and I used to own three.

... since I'm so unhelpful, I'll wish you luck that someone else around here knows a person that could do the work.

Chuck Lutz?  Is that really his name?  Or Chuck Norris in disguise...

As a kid, contemplating to what I might change my name (as was my wont back then), it was always going to be to "Fonzi Danger Strongrod". That was just the coolest name I could come up with ... that is, of course, until I knew that name Chuck Lutz was out there and in use!

Yes, his name really is Chuck Lutz, he was a gunsmith for Kimber Firearms, he now runs his own shop, and he's done work on my Beretta.  He's a nice guy and most definitely NOT Chuck Norris :).

Wow, that was almost offensive. *Chuckles wryly.*

Some people hunt with guns, and practice on targets, y'know.

We mostly keep them here in Florida as a pool cleaning utensil... namely, removing the gator that sneaks into our pool.  Sure we could call animal control, but they never give you the complimentary 800lbs of gator steak when they're done, nor do they ever bother properly avenging our housepets. :p

*Screams out* They're coming right for us! *pow*

As a representative of the People For Friendly Fruit Treatment (or PFFFT), I find this practice barbaric and I demand you discontinue it immediately!!!

*Looks out her window and sees druids picketing her front lawn and representatives of PFFFT waving signs. Yells out the window.*

"THEY HAD IT COMING!! SEEDS IN MY TEETH EVERY TIME I TRY TO EAT THEM!"

*Brandishes a slightly mushy apple*

"Come any closer and Granny Smith here has HAD IT!"
