Just so everyone knows, Interia/Kinai/Chrissy will not be able to play layo for an undetermined amount of time. I can't really say why, but I felt I should let you all know.

That is ashame. I have been having a really good time RPing with Kinai. She is such a wonderful Role player and I wish her luck and hope she gets back soon

Okay, folks, I managed to grab my ancient dinosaur of a comp (5 years old laptop) to type this...

First of all, my parents and I had an argument where my dad decided I was going back to school even without any endometriosis treatment. I'll tell you this much, when the endo kicks up at its worst (which is common for me due to its location), I'm in severe pain to the point where I can imagine it being equivalent to labor pains.

I told my father this, said that there was no way in the nine hells that I would be able to go back...So he threatens me, says it's either school or the computer. Because of that, I get ticked off and slam it shut and told him to take it. By then, I was getting a bit overboard myself in frustration...

So, eventually, the house ended up being a shouting match, and I got to the point in my anger where throwing things and making threats on my health and life felt acceptable.

By then, they decided it was all because of the nasty computer, that this had to do with some addiction, and I was almost admitted into a mental institution called Dettmer. Luckily, that didn't happen. The people there said I wasn't a danger to myself...

In the end, I've lost my main computer and any access to NWN and other games for some time. Not sure when I'll be back ingame... I'm just glad I can log in long enough to type this.

Sorry to hear the discord going on in your house. Fighting like this is why I always got a job by the time I was 15 to pay for my own computer, so that it was truly mine. Of course my dad still tried to take it from time to time, but I was a good foot taller than him and on the varsity wrestling team for heavyweight by then, so his attempts pretty much got him in an armdrag takedown and headlock full of noogies until he submit and ran off grumbling. Of course he was a mnic depressive psychopath who'd try to ground me for things like our team losing a football game or only getting a B or accidentally knocking over a vase, so I have no remorse for his ego. Such dismal attempts at parenting deserve negative reinforcement.

When you move out of the house finally and start paying your own bills, your relationship with your parents usually improves tenfold. That's right around the time that the tired old "if you live under my roof" argument is null and they start looking for a compatable kidney donor.

I do hope things calm down for you soon! Hopefully you all can come to a agreement of some type. I'm one of those "mean" Mom's so I am pretty strict on my kids and the use of the computer. They are only allowed on certain about of time each day. More on the weekends. So maybe something like that your father would agree to also. Sounds like he is just concerned about you.
