Keela Cent "Memories"

Unen and I have settled in Krandor. What a suprise it was to see that my lovely husband had already took it upon himself to find us suitable lodging.  I am so proud of him and his efforts.

We were able to travel about the land some today and Unen seemed quite protective of me. It seems that Ilsare has blessed him greatly for every day I see new gifts given to him.

I have been using this rapier now for some time and I have become very comfortable with it.  The longer I use it the more I am able to swipe it quickly through the air.  There is this almost whistle I hear as I slice through the air before attacking some of the dangerous creatures that Unen and I have found on the road during our travels.  *smiles* One day maybe I can even turn it into an art of sort. Fighting with my rapier.  Maybe it is time to upgrade to a newer one and see how I do with it.  I smile at the thought of it.  With Unen's protections and my skill we shall be a team that the land I hope will be glad to have around.  We will make this our home and one day *she smiles* maybe our family.

Unen and I have been spending much of our time practicing near Hlint these days.  I find that I am more free to explore the woods and caverns when we are not so crowded by the massess in the towns.  There are a few occasions where I find my self sneaking off to practice with both of my rapiers.  Hiding amongst the trees waiting for an enemy has thrilled me.  Once I was walking on the highest point of the ruins North of Hlint when an Orc spotted me. I sprang from the top of the wall where I had been practicing my balance and landed behind him.  I really think he was suprised.  Landing on both feet I quickly assessed  the danger and with quickness before he was able to turn around I used the rapier in my left hand to slice through the leather strap holding his pack, letting it fall to the ground. With my right blade I spun around and attacked him as he turned to face me.   Leaving  his bag on the ground he looked at his wound and raised his flail to stike me.  Seeing this, I jumped to the side quickly and put my left blade through his rib cage.  He fell! I looked at the weapons in my hand and then the dead body and then said to myself " I wonder what it would be like to attack from a tree branch? Surely I can have the advantage up there with both my weapons out to spring forth and attack the foe."  Seeing the pack under the orcs leg I used the toe of my boot and kicked the leg away.  Inside there wasn't much but a few true and sewing kit. Pocketing the items I went in search of more Orcs.

Yes, I think I like the swiftness of fighting with both rapiers.  I am certainly cut out for it. My body is ripe and limber and my balance is improving.  I wonder what Unen will think as I practice.  He is very proctective of me and I love him so.  I look in his eyes and I swear I can see the heavens above.

I am getting more confident with my blades. They are becoming very much a part of me. Just the other day I was adventuring with a group that was heading to the Black Ice Island when we ventured into a cave that was heard to have alexandrite.  Kobalds live there by the hordes. It was a perfect opportunity to practice with my blades.  I found my self running in amongst them with ease.  Turning this way and then back that way to get as many as I dared was quite rewarding. I could see that I confused them with my acrobats. HA! Ha! The last one standing tried his hardest to stare me down as if that alone would send me running to the woods, but alas, as he readied his last arrow in the bow I sprinted into the air and sliced him down the chest with my right blade and then with my left flung the bow out of his hands and watched them both fall to the ground with a thud.  Standing in the middle with kobalds lying all around me I felt great pride at my efforts.  I must show Unen soon.  Maybe we can get me some fresh equipment soon.
