Unen and I have been spending much of our time practicing near Hlint these days. I find that I am more free to explore the woods and caverns when we are not so crowded by the massess in the towns. There are a few occasions where I find my self sneaking off to practice with both of my rapiers. Hiding amongst the trees waiting for an enemy has thrilled me. Once I was walking on the highest point of the ruins North of Hlint when an Orc spotted me. I sprang from the top of the wall where I had been practicing my balance and landed behind him. I really think he was suprised. Landing on both feet I quickly assessed the danger and with quickness before he was able to turn around I used the rapier in my left hand to slice through the leather strap holding his pack, letting it fall to the ground. With my right blade I spun around and attacked him as he turned to face me. Leaving his bag on the ground he looked at his wound and raised his flail to stike me. Seeing this, I jumped to the side quickly and put my left blade through his rib cage. He fell! I looked at the weapons in my hand and then the dead body and then said to myself " I wonder what it would be like to attack from a tree branch? Surely I can have the advantage up there with both my weapons out to spring forth and attack the foe." Seeing the pack under the orcs leg I used the toe of my boot and kicked the leg away. Inside there wasn't much but a few true and sewing kit. Pocketing the items I went in search of more Orcs.
Yes, I think I like the swiftness of fighting with both rapiers. I am certainly cut out for it. My body is ripe and limber and my balance is improving. I wonder what Unen will think as I practice. He is very proctective of me and I love him so. I look in his eyes and I swear I can see the heavens above.
