As was explained to me more than once by more than one GM, despite having easily found it in the mountains mechanically, I have not actually found it myself, until I was shown, it is also to be treated as a guild house, with no entry allowed by non members without permission, just giving you a headsup.

//hum all guild hall are given keys to the guild leader (must be purchased from the real estae agent) who then makes copies of the keys, where the door are closed and locked (the option to leave it open is still there). I seem to remember a post somewhere about the one who had the temple built wanting it to be closed off and locked, and it was refused because it was a temple.

Every where in game there is temple that can be found either by pure luck or by being shown. It would be total nonsense, unless there is a precise warning message ICly in game stating that the person does not see the temple because it is warded by illusions, that it would not be found by anyone that is not from that faith.

I go by this line of thought, unless there is precise GM notes in game or on the forum, Icly, that says something isn't there, then it is until proven otherwise.

So based on that it is highly probable that the temple would have been found. Now would Dalan know that it is exactly a temple of Corath unless he went deeper and talked with the people inside? Probably not, but with the things he is hearing now, he could make 1 +1 = 2

//I was explicitly told by a DM that it is a secret temple and so whilst you can see it mechanically, you cannot technically find it as it's *hidden*, hiding it of course isn't possible in game.

OK everyone.  I'm pulling this thread over to the side of the road for a bit.  Everyone listen up.

The Temple of Corath in the Ire mountains IS secret.  What is represented in-game is a limitation of mechanics.

In the game world, there are absolutely NO external markings showing that it is a temple, much less one to Corath.  In the game world, the location is MUCH harder to find there and would be guarded...heavily.  Whatever most people think they've found simply hasn't been found that easy.

Unfortunately we simply cannot represent this with sufficient accuracy in-game.

We've stated this repeatedly, but clearly it's been several months since the last time this came up, so consider this a reminder, please.

As for who would know...

Clearly those who have been shown the temple by a member of the Corath church would know.  Anyone who might have stumbled upon it while exploring has not found the temple, even if said person is a Corathite.

It is somewhat known that there may be a temple to Corath or some other dark god in the Ire mountains, but the exact details of its existence are not common knowledge.

Remember that worshiping Corath is explicitly illegal on Mistone.

How long do you think the combined churches of Rofirein and Toran, not to mention the Brelin Kingdom authorities, would simply stand idle and let such a place continue to remain unassaulted/unmonitored/unwatched if its location were so well known?  Simply put: not long at all.

Please keep this in mind going forward.

This thread has now been dragged completely off-topic.  It's a rumor thread, not a debate thread.  Start a debate elsewhere if one absolutely must continue.  This one is closed.
