Well I know who pinned the first note, and I know that if she wrote it up it is because she talked to who she said she talked to.

*grins and writes under* if that is the case then why would Aeridin bother to lie to his followers of mixed blood? why should he grant his clerics their spells? but hey, its nice to meet a Corathite that can read and write but I belive you should spread your poison else where and allow the people of mixed blood to come to terms with this in their own pace, unless of course you take a sick pleasure of rubbing it in

Hehehe, I don't follow any god, left mine a long time ago.

Why would he spread the news to all his followers and risk losing power himself. When it is easier to simply let them die out by themselves and the natural course of things, or the less natural blunt force of enemies. If he seeks to bring back balance and order to the chaos that mix blood brought, he would surely not go and stir up more chaos by depleting his own work force, stripping them of their power now, and bring more instability to his own order that what has been brought already, when he can just wait for them to die out.

A dwarf trudges by and reads of the notes.

"Ach lass, tis terrible what ye found out. Ye and yer intended would be fine parents indeed."

He goes on to read the various notes that have been written since the original. Upon reading the last few, he grasps his axe and mutters a curse that such the foul lies about his niece should be seen in public. He quickly scrawls a note on the bottom.

I dinna know why I bother to refute such a foul statement. Corathite, bah! Me niece be no more a Corathite den ye be a great eagle of de sky. Sounds more like an earthworm writin to me. Or if ye mean she was deceived by one den, perhaps. Yet I know her and she be not easily fooled. Me doubts one such as dem would fool her as a priest of Aerdin. I known many a follower of Aerdin and repect dem greatly. Dem Corathites would have a hard time actin de part of a priest of Aerdin. In either case, watch yer words, ye be slanderin a fine lass. If ye wish to dispute me statement, let me know, me axe stands ready to meet ye in de areana. I may fall, but I will stand by her to de bitter end!!

Has anyone really asked the meaning of why Aeridin did what he did? All I see is accusations of -what- Aeridin thinks about about half races and the ilk. Has anybody actually asked what would happen if he was still able to allow half races to be conceived?

I can assure that the alternative may not be as pleasant. How would you like to see an environment where Corath had the advantage? How would would you like it if the Corathites activities spread because the Mad Corrupter was allowed to do his work? I am thinking Aeridin would be blamed for it too wouldn't he because he did nothing to stop it. For those blaming Aeridin let me ask you this. If you think that this could have been handled better what would you expect the LifeGiver to have done to rectify the problem?

On a side note, I can understand why some might be angry because of this, and that is simply because they cannot conceive anymore. This is understandable, but it is not fair to make accusations such as these. Why cannot people be more mature about this?

In her grief and anger, she didnt think to. And since she was more than willing to tell her story to those that asked I doubt she thought it necessary.

In her grief and anger when she posted the signs and as she spoke, if someone did ask her name. Her response probably would have been along the lines that it did not matter, just that they know her story. If they doubted it, they could go talk to the head priests of the shrines since the low level attending clerics doubtfully knew the true answer.

As per the previous post with eds link.

Hence the description of 'a girl with pink hair'.

//edit: as i doubt there are many inhabitants with pink hair, im sure a reasonable deduction can be made that it was her. And Im sure that eventually, she may have said her name was 'Abi' at some point

It wasnt meant to be anything specific, just a note on the continuing debate outside of the PC world.

That and as far as abi was concerned the fella she spoke with was the head cleric of northpoint, or at a least a higher up. And not the low level clergy.

The word of ONE cleric, no matter how senior is NOT the word of an entire church or even a god....

Every religion has it's zealots.....those who take a view to it's extremes

I think you will simply find the lady in question spoke to one of those zealots as the church as a whole seems to have no problem with the half bloods within it

After discussion with my brother, who was also present when Corath's avatar was defeated and is a half elven paladin of Aerdin...

Aerdin had to protect the life force of the world from Corath's perversion....Think of it as locking a door if you will, and then being a little surprised of all that is now kept out but unable to open it again.

Would you all prefer to be able to breed as you will but to have Corath's perversion running through the life force of the world or things as they stand now?

And as the dragon called went and defeated Blood, with no idea it would plunge us into the Dark Ages.....Aerdin went and defeated Corath without realising the entire consequence....

As I said before....

Just a mention a pink haired girl would be easy to spot in an inn and possibly even easy to remember. Pink is really not a common hair color

The world changes from time to time, sometimes for the better and other times for the worse. This whole event is all so very sad, the sadness itself affecting myself also, even more so my beloved daughter. While my words may sound like the words spoken by the church of Aeridin or my own church, I do not speak for neither. I am entitled to my own feelings and opinions, but yet I do not feel any hostility towards the Lifegiver on this matter.

Done is done and nothing will change with anyone throwing rotten tomatoes against his church. Hatred won't give those who are in love a child that they so much deserve, but instead will ruin the opportunities they could rather spend in each others arms. There are those old wise words of that one should do the best of each situation, and this is one of those moments. Give the love one would have given to one's child to each other instead, or put one's love to one of those homeless and parentless children on the streets.

Before all this, there were still those who found themselves being barren, but they still managed to live as happy lives as others. It is sad, but it never was the end of the world for them, nor will it be for those who now have found themselves in the same fate...
