*Aeronn steps away from the arena and heads to the dock, to stare across the ocean and clear his head.  After a short  moment he gazes into the sky whispering quietly*

Rofirein?  It's Aeronn again.  I may be needing some guidance soon.  I cannot believe I never noticed until Razeriem spoke it aloud.  *shifts a little bit*  She is Beautiful.  I have never met a woman that I wanted to kiss before.  Of course, I have never met a woman like Daniella either.  *smiles*
Can I be feeling what I think I am?  If I am, is it a distraction from Ilsare, or your will?

*He gazes up silently  until the sound of his friends leaving the arena is carried to him. Then he turns and rushes to join them*

*Aeronn moves off of the road and makes camp for the nigt.  He looks over his shoulder in the direction of Ft. Llast and shaking his head, he sets out his statue of the Great Gold kneeling before it to pray*

Lord Protector,
I always do my best to live up to your expectations and protect all who need it.  I fear there is one I am unable to protect.  *smiles slightly*  I find myself defenseless against her charm.

I was returning from ensuring the temple of your holy ally Katia was faring well, and without danger.  I stopped in Fort Last with the intention of filling my Canteens and carrying on.  I had not gone far when I spotted Daniella walking the streets near the temple of Toran.  I had to look twice to make sure it was her, for she was wearing a dress.  I must admit I found it most pleasing to the eye.  *coughs slightly*

She said she had been making healing draughts and simply needed some fresh air after working so long with skeleton bones and the like.  Before I quite knew what I was doing I invited her to travel with me to Blackford Castle, as the view from the cliff side is awe inspiring.

The view proved to be everything I remebered, and Daniella was impressed as well.  While there we decided to have some lunch.  I had slain a bear that attacked me, so we decide to have bear meat.  Daniella provided some delicous bread that she had baked herself.  As I cooked the meat she noticed a scratch the bear had left on my arm.  I had forgotten it was even there.  She asked for permission, and then held my arm and laid her hand upon it and asked for Toran to heal it.  As she laid her hand upon me, I felt a shiver down my spine that had nothing to do with Toran's healing.  *shakes his head a bit*
We spoke of our parents as we ate.  Like me, she is devoted to the same god her parents worshipped.  Unlike me, she actually got to know and spend time with them.  *sighs*
In any case, we are both wholly dedicated to whom we serve.

The time came when she needed to return to her temple and I to mine, so we parted ways.  So here I sit, seeking your guidance, and listening as best I can.  I believe I am beginning to.... have feelings for her.  I pray this is your will and not a distraction, for both of us.
Give me wisdom to know what is right, and lend me your strength that I might accomplish it.
*With a solemn smile Aeronn rises and cooks his evening meal*

*Aeronn sits in a room at the temple in Vehl, cleaning his sword and armour.  As he works he mutters to himself, thinking over the last few days*

Well, Aeronn, the last few days have been interesting... *he nods to himself*
Of course, things usually are interesting when you meet up with Marec, Tod, Razeriem, Daniella *he smiles* and Aesthir was even there.  It is good to travel with another of the faith.

Daniella enjoys destroying the undead, and we did a good job of that in Krandors crypts.  We all worked well together, but you certainly found yourself fighting an awful lot side by side with Daniella.
You even commented to her what a great team you made.  Of course she grinned back.  Nothing like the look Aesthir shot you.... *Aeronn pauses for a moment after he says that*

Afterwards, it seemed like a good idea to go investigate those ruins in the moors where you usually fight the trolls and fish men.  *nods to himself* Why you even got approval from Anne, the Beacon that Daniella thinks so much of.
She warned us that it was an old temple of Baeron Caduz, and that is why the snakes were so numerous near it.

Well, we certainly found out what was in that temple, didn't we?  *nods again, picking up another piece of armor and wiping slime off of it*
Slaads of all varieties.  Again the battles were fought well.  Of course, we were smart enough not to descend too far, not until we have a larger group.  Once that group is assembled we can hopefully clear the fiends out for good.

*bows his head a moment*  Aesthir was acting a bit oddly though,  he mentioned several times that the Great Gold should remove all obstacles from your path.  I swear once he even looked at Daniella after he said it....

*Aeronn picks up the breastplate, staring into its now shiny surface, looking at his reflection with a bemused look*
Aesthir seemed to sense a connection between Daniella and you.  Does that mean it is there?  If so you cannot let it distract you from your duties.  More importantly, you can not let it distract her from her duties.

*Satisfied that his armor is appropriately cleaned and polished, Aeronn lays back on his cot and tries to sleep*

*Aeronn watches as Daniella walks away, then he quietly lets himslef back into the inn.  Staring up at one of the large dragon statues there, Aeronn begins to pray*

Rofirein?  Its Aeronn.  We need to talk.  *shakes his head*  Well, I need to talk, I am sure you are listening.  So much has happened.  I am sure you saw it, but....

The events started off well enough.  Daniella and I ran into Lance and El in Hlint.  Thanks to Lance we were able to toast the new year with some grape juice.  We all spoke of hopes that the new year would allow us to bring greater good to Layonara and its peoples.  After visiting for a bit I asked the others if they would mind aiding me in completing a mission for Captain Kard, of North Fort.  They all agreed and we made our way to Dregar.

On the way to North Fort we ran into a group of pirates, we easily dispatched them and went on our way.  The rest of the trip was uneventful and we found ourselves at North Fort.  After speaking with Captain Kard I returned to the others and we decided that since we were near, we should chastise the giants that roamed the ruins near by.  *he sighs*
The battle started out well, then that giant mage began flinging his fire about.  The fire not only harmed me, but to my shame it caused me to lose focus.  I saw that Daniella was in trouble too late to help her.

I leapt over the body of the giant I had just slain, a request for your healing grace was on my lips as her body fell to the ground.  The healing did aught to her dead form.  I screamed and launched myslef at the giant that had felled her.  Lance was already there, and in short order the beast also fell.

I was over-come with anguish and could not even speak.  I looked at El and gestured to Daniella's still form.  She looked at Lance, with a sad look on his face, he shook his head no.  Not thinking, I repeated my gesture.  El replied quietly,"I cannot.

I looked again at Daniella's still form, but the moment was gone, and the bindstone took her from us.  *Aeronn looks down for a moment, then he stares back up at the statue of the dragon.  He manages to somehow look contrite and defiant at the same time*

That is when I knew that for good or ill I had been pierced by one of The Archer's arrows.  Much good such knowledge does me.  *sighs*  I ask for your guidance in this matter, and I truly hope how I feel is part of your design..

Eventually El, Lance, and I met back up with Daniella and began escorting her so that she could pray where she fell.  I fear I was a bit... Overbearing?... in my desire to Protect her.  On the way Lance had to leave in order to meet prior commitments.  His leaving made travel more dangerous, but with the help of your holy ally Aregen we made it back to the ruins intact.

Miss El was able to call upon Aregen's aid in the form of a large golem, and with a bit of effort, Daniella was able to pray where she had fallen and recover fully from the incident.  Once we were safely on the road to Hurm, Miss El also took her leave.  Daniella and I returned to Mistone.

I suppose I was a bit over-protective for the entire trip.  Once we had disembarked in Leringard, she spoke to me about it.  She told me that we both faced death in every battle, and she thought I should know that by now.  Well, she did not use those words, but that seemed to be the message. I told her I was used to the toll of battle, but not seeing it on.. *Aeronn looks down again*  well, let's just say I almost used that four letter word I have not even dared speak of to you yet...

Luckily it started to rain, that naturally changed our focus as we began looking for a bit of shelter.  I remembered that Chaynce had brought me here once.  So we stayed the night here, and then met for a most deltightful breakfast.

And here I am..
Grant me the wisdom to know what is Right, and the strength to accomplish it.

Lord Protector,
I thank you for your guidance and protection during my recent travels.  Jil and Marcus were married.  The ceremony was performed by El, so their marriage is sure to be guided with knowledge and truth.  I missed the ceremony, but was present for the reception.  The fireworks were breath taking.  The food was delicious and the company was divine.  *smiles*  It was interesting to see everyone dressed up and relaxing rather than girding themselves for battle.  Marcus and Jil were excellent hosts, everyone that came felt welcome.  I was glad that I had agreed when Daniella asked me to come it was a fantastic time.

On the way back from the wedding Daniella and I ran into several people at the Lake of Glass.  We saw Lance and El, and Razeriem, Marec showed up and finaly Balthazar rode through on his horse.  We all spent a few minutes catching up and then we decided that with all collected there there must be some good to be done for the land.  We quelled some giants in the area, and then someone mentioned a crypt near the kings road.  *smiles* of course Daniella was all for visiting there and putting the undead back in their graves.

When we arrived the crypt proved to be intact and the dead merely that.  I think Daniella was a bit dissapointed.  However at about that time Razeriem found some tiger men that engaged him in battle.  They proved to be somewhat of a challenge.  At times even if my blade struck them they appeared to suffer no damage.

Near the tiger men Razeriem led us to a nearby castle.  Unfortunately it slips my mind what lord rules there.  Inside the castle Razeriem showed us a group of rooms where someone had designed the walls of the room to look like the very heavens themselves.  I saw the heavens reflected in Daniellas sparkling eyes and and I was struck by an idea.  *he absently thumbs a brilliant phenelope ring worn on his right hand*

I am starting to think that maybe Daniella feels... something for me.  Perhaps it was just the recent wedding, but we seemed to be taken as being... together.. more than once in our recent travels.  When she smiles at me, it seems somehow warmer than before..

I hope I am not being misled by Ilsare, to be made to look the fool.  I believe I am not.

May your wisdom show me what is Right and may you give me the strength to see it accomplished.

*Aeronn sits near a clay furnace, the sweat dripping from his brow has more to do with his intense concentration than the heat of the nearby furnace.  As he works, Aeronn mutters to himself*

The gem.. the gem represents strength, resolve, discipline.
This mold will shape the bronze.  Toran's ankh on one side of the gem, and the Holy Compass Shield on the other... When the gem is set it will be held in place by both.  It will symbolize the discipline that is part of both faiths... among other things...

*Sometime later Aeronn lets out a sigh of relief and grins in pride as the gem is set perfectly into the ring of bronze.

*Aeronn kneels before the statue of Rofirein in Vehl's temple and prays*

Lord Protector,
Thank you for your lessons and your blessings.  The last few days have brought both.

I learned the lesson of humility first.  Razeriem, Tod, Razeriem's lady friend, Daniella and myself ventured to the Dragon Isles to do battle with the minotaurs and lessen their influence in the area.  At first we did well.  We did so well in fact that we become overconfident and failed to use proven battle tactics.   When the minotaurs called in reinforcements we were far from a defensible position, and rather than fall back we engaged them fully.  I can still here Tod shouting that we should retreat to the bridge.  We began our retreat to late and our entire force met with defeat.  Pride truly comes before the fall.

The second lesson I learned was to mind my speech.  All should be treated with honor in words as well as deeds.  After being recalled by our bindstones we all met dockside at Vehl.  Razeriem wished to return and invisibly gain entrance and reconsiliation with his soul.  Without consideration of my companions I spoke of how dishonorable it would be to walk among your enemies unseen.  My hasty words angered both Razeriem and Tod.  Tod rushed off saying he would go alone then.  At that moment I realized that my words had been hurtful to him.  My belief was proven correct by the way he acted when he returned fully recovered.   Razeriem said I was being foolish that I was useless and unable to protect anyone in my current state.  Then he too fled, although he did not return..His words and Tod's reaction have given me pause, so I shall continue to seek your guidance in that matter.

While we were at the docks Marec found us, and began trying to get others to aid us. He met the usual reaction when others found we intended to go without invisibility.  Daniella stood by my side through out it all.  Eventually while recovering she retired to the arena to rest on the benches.  I joined her.  We were both so weary that I offered her the strength of my embrace.  She reclined in my arms for a bit, but eventually she sat up with a start and stated that we should check on the others.

Marec grew tired of trying to procure help for us, and eventually retired elsewhere to meditate for the night.  Shortly after that Daniella and I were both fully recovered, and Lance and El happened by.  We all decided to visit the arena for training.  Miss T was there, and she has a voracious appetite for learning martial techniques.  We all sparred with her, and though she did not win, she is showing vast improvements.  I teamed up with her against Lance and Tugs.  We were handily beaten.  Lance is a ferocious combatant with enviable speed and force.

Before the battle Daniella had lent me 2 rings to help even the odds.  After the battle Danniella challenged me to a duel.  She of course asked for her rings back.  I took the opportunity to also slip her the ring I had crafted.  It was not so flashy perhaps as Razeriem would have done it, but it felt less awkward that way.  She glanced at the ring a moment and then we engaged in battle.  She and I are pretty evenly matched *he smiles unconsciously* I offered  her the chance to yield, and she replied by offering me the same.  We both declined and rejoined the battle.  She feinted under my shield and won the day.

Later, we left the others it had grown late and she did not want to stay at the Harpy, so I offered to walk with her to the Crossroads.  She agreed.  Along the way she admired her ring, and said that she loved it.  She also warned me that it may cause some trouble.  I told her I did not wish that, but she said not to worry about it.  Still, I find myself worrying.  Not so much for myself.  You look kindly yet upon Toran, and I believe that together Daniella and I make a good team and so are not a distraction one to the other in our duties... Toran however is not as fond of you as he once was..I pray for your guidance in our future..And thank you for the blessing you have brought me.

Grant me the Wisdom to know what is Right and the Strength to see it accomplished.

*Once again Aeronn makes camp by the river, setting his statue of Rofirein out he begins to pray*

Lord Protector,

I thank you for your strength and protections as we ventured in the mines of Haven.  The group we went with did well.   Marec was able to take the head of the gnoll chieftan, all who wanted were able to mine the ores, and no one Fell. There were a few rough spots.  A brute of a half orc joined us while in the mines, and while his manners were about what you would expect for his kind, he did prove an effective warrior, and so his presence was tolerated.  There was another minor wrinkle.  A priestess of Azatta was there.  At first she tried to cast her blessings on me.  I requested that she not do so.  She complied, but instead she used healing potions on me.  It was against my better judgment, but I let her do so.  She seemed innocent of any insult

Afterword Daniella helped me carry my ore to Hlint and my faithful ox, Beast. As we finished loading up Beast, Iradril chanced to walk by.  I knew Iradril to be a capable smelter, so I talked to him about the ore I had mined.  I hope to collect more, and eventually make full plate of it.  He indicated that it was possible for him to smelt the ore.  At that point Daniella's investigative nature got the better of her.  She noted that she had never seen Iradril without his helmet.  With a sigh Iradril agreed to take his helm off, but not in town.  I am pretty that was all Daniella needed to know his true nature, but we made camp in the Wastelands none the less.  Once camp was made Iradril removed his helmet and Daniella saw that he was a dark elf.  She reacted pretty much as expected.  She asked me why she should not turn both of us in.  I explained that Iradril is a hero of the war with Bloodstone, that he stood with Ozlo in defense of the Great Oak.  She was not having it.  She curtly informed me that I could find her when I had concluded my business with Iradril, because she would not be around him.  *he sighs a bit*

Once Iradril and I had visited, and he had smelted my ore I was able to find Daniella in Hlint.  She told me she needed to cook and that I could try to explain while she did so.  The whole time she worked in the kitchen I poured out all the reasons why I trusted Iradril.  In the end she made it clear she thinks me a fool for trusting him.  She agreed that she would say nothing of him, but if asked she would not lie.  Of course she would not lie.  If she were capable of it, I would not feel for her as I do.

After she had finished cooking she agreed to let me escort her back to Fort Llast.  Her exasperation seemed to have faded and we had a pleasant journey. *He smiles* Our travels have been pleasant of late.

Grant me the Wisdom to know what is Right and the Strength to see it accomplished.

Lord Protector,

I  have need of your guidance.  Daniella has mentioned some disturbing things about Aesthir.  I know he has your Blessings, but I also know she would not lie.  Perhaps she misconstrued what was seen?
There is no discounting the... odd sensations... both of us have sensed from him.  I trust your judgment, and seek your guidance.  I will watch Aesthir more closely and see if I can determine the source of my unease.  I would not wish for either of us to stray from Your Path.

*Aeronn kneels before the statue of Rofirein in Vehl and Prays*

Lord Protector,
Once again I seek your guidance.  I was coming from the white horn forest, when another bear attacked me.  I do not know why, but bears really seem to dislike me.  Finally, outside of Llast, I decided to stop and cook the bear meat, and heal the small scratch it had put on me.  While I was cooking Marec came up concerned because he saw signs of a battle. The signs were somewhat old, but he was still disturbed.  About that time Daniella showed up looking quite upset.

She told us that the shining hand had been abducted.  While she was telling us the tale, a dwarf showed up, then Chaynce, then a man in dark clothes, and finally even Ms. Elohanna.  There was quite the gathering around my little cook fire.  Chaynce and the dark clothed man started telling Daniella that Anne was behind the abduction.  Then they began badgering her about how Ann was evil.  Even Ms. Elohanna said something about how terrible Ann is, before she threw her hands up in the air and stalked back to her home.

I could tell the more they talked, the more upset Danielle was getting.  I had just about had enough of the dark clothed man, when he left.  Then that mage showed up, Jaelle I think her name is, and Tod had shown up somewhere during the shouting.  Tod was actually there when Q was abducted so he took us to the location and answered all our questioins as best he could.  Chaynce said he was going to murder Ann, I told him if he did so,  I would see him in court if he succeeded and at  his funeral if he failed.  He took that as encouragement, not a chastisement. *shakes his head*

As the investigation continued, they kept harping on why Ann could be responsible.  Finally DAniella grew fed up and just left, to see what news the temple had.  She looked really uspet when she left.

Rofirein, help me  give Daniella the aid and comfort she needs.  Guide everyone in the search for Quantum that he may be found and those responsible be brought to Justice.

Give me the Wisdom to know what is Right, and the Strength to accomplish it.

*Aeronn walks into the temple and hands an acolyte a letter with instructions that it be delivered to Justicer Reus.  Then he goes to the Statue of Rofien and prays*

Lord Protector,
Once again I must thank you for the strength you lend and  the protections you provide.

Chaynce, Marec, Tod, Lance, Daniella and I met in Hempstead.  Chaynce wanted to look in Arindor's Demise for Quantum.  He said at the very least it would be good practice killing vampires!  We all agreed that it seemed a good place to look.  Daniella had to go back to her temple but she promised to meet  us when she could.  The rest of us made our way to Arindor's.

Just outside of Arindors we met a woman and a mage.  The mage claimed to be lookng for adventure.  The woman said she would help for a share of true.  Both joined us and we ventured into that dank hole.   We fought our way through giant bugs that seemed to have the power to dazzle their opponents.  Finally we approached the area where some vampires were known to lair.  We launched our attack, and the forces we met were strong.  The cowardly vampires even called forth giant bears, and little disgusting dog like things to do battle with us.  At first we were o'rwhelmed and someone called a retreat.  I went to secure the exit so that an orderly retreat could commence.  Two huge bears lunged after me. (I told you, bears hate me!)   The next thing I knew I  had been taken by the bindstone.  Your wings sheltered me from the embrace of the soulmother, for which I am very thankful.

I slowly made my way to LLast.  Daniella came out of the temple she appeared to be in prayer still wishing Torans light to guide someone.. At about that time she noticed me and then Tod showed up.  The others were supposed to be right behind him, but werent. after a moment of confusion we all got together again.  The others went into the temple to tell the priests about the vampire they had seen.  I remained outside of course, taking a defensive stance, as they seemed to be worried a vampire might visit them again.

They felt bad that I was alone and so came outside to re-tell the tale, when a mist formed and a vampress appeared.  Daniellla demanded to know where Quantum was.  The vampire claimed she nor her family were foolish enough to have him.  The vampire semed interested in Chaynce, but Daniella told it to go back to its hell hole.  The vampire vanished and dawn broke.
Chaynce is staying at Toran's temple for the time being.  I just arrived here.
Despite what that Vampiress said, Quantum may still be down there.
May your wisdom guide all those searching for him.  May you protect him if he is there.
May you grant me the Wisdom to know what is Right, and the Strength to accomplish it.

*Aeronn makes camp in his customary spot by the river.  As he cooks boar over the small fire Aeronn's thoughts wander over the last several days*

Went looking for Lance. Found him outside the Temple in Fort LLast. (of course!)   He, El, and Daniella were talking about the search for Quantum when a knight of Toran, Tristan walked up.  Then Tod and a few others.  As we sat discussing a possible foray into Arindor's that vampiress showed up.  She asked who the new hand was, and Tristan told her!  *shakes his head*  Then she simply left, before we could engage in battle.

Immeadiately after Tristan asked Daniella to follow him and she did... They were gone so long that I began to worry, and another emotion as well....
*He feeds a few sticks into the fire, their flames reflected by his eyes.*
*He mutters*
"Rofirein, give me the strength to resist these new emotions.  Jealousy has no place in the heart of one of your Chosen."

I made a genral announcement that Tristan would be in trouble if he had placed her in unnecessary danger.  Razeriem told me I was being over protective and pointed out that it was more likely that SHE had drug him off somewhere...  I did not want to believe him, but part of me had to admit he might be right... I am beginning to suspect there is more to Razeriem than the fop he wishes others to see.

Razeriem grew tired of waiting and left.  I asked Lance if I could speak with him about a personal matter.  He said of course.  Tod asked if he should leave.  He knows of our situation, so I said he could stay... we bantered a bit about his experience with women and he let me know that Daniella liked her silver enhancement, which made me happy.  I finally turned to ask Lance for his advice about Daniella and she appeared, as if conjured..

She had disturbing news indeed.  Tristan had taken her to scout Arindor's.  (without the rest of us!)  And they had run into Laura!   Daniella was fuming.  Laura claims she is no longer a vampire, and that she is not responsible for all the things she did while she was one.  *shakes his head*   Then she told Tristan and Daniella that she wanted to help in the search for Quantum!
*mutters*  "By all that is Holy, what is going on?"

The news was of such import that they needed to report directly to the temple.  I have left them to it.  I will return to Vehl for the time being.  We have agreed to gather a strong force and get to the bottom of Arindor's.  Perhaps then we will save Quantum and discover the path to Justice....

*Aeronn is brought back to the present by the smell of flame cooked boar*

Lord Protector,

Once again I seek wisdom and strength beyond my own.

While traveling toward the waste lands to harass the goblins there I chanced to receive a bird.  A master ferire said he had some information I might be interested in.. I sent the bird back to him telling him to name the time and place.

After a few moments a figure stepped into the path.  It greeted me, making sure I was indeed Aeronn Kirath.  I nodded in assent.  Then it suggested that we go somewhere else to speak.  As he was talking I realized that this was the very dark elf that Daniella has been searching for.  I told him that he was coming to Vehl with me.  He said that he would, but he really had information for me first.  Reluctantly I agreed to let him parlay before we made our trip South to Vehl, and we made our way into the Wild Surge.  I paid for a room, for he would only speak if he felt we were in complete isolation.  I felt no fear of danger from him.   What could a sneaky wretch such as he do against the might of Rofirein?

Then Sion told me he had been approached by another dark elf.  This one dances with the shadows he said.  Sion also said that this dark elf was offering large sums of money to those that could provide information about me or my whereabouts.  Sion then said that he thought it had something to do with Quantums disappearance... *sighs*  Then he said the most amazing thing, he declared that because he owed a debt to some one named Ayana he was joining in the search for Quantum.  He also stated his debt to her as his reason for revealing this information to me.

Rofirein,  is all conspiring to aid in the rescue of Quantum, or is something even more dire brewing?  This knight requests your wisdom and guidance..

I remarked that his debt to this woman must be large indeed, because he would not be able to search for Quantum until after his trial at the Temple.  He merely nodded and said,"of course."  Then we began our journey south.  I should have bound and gagged him for the journey.  *sighs* About half way through the Wastelands he tried to escape we tussled a bit and finally I had had enough.  If he would not go peaceably he would go wounded.  The dark elf's eyes grew wide as my holy blade swung at him.  Suddenly I was engulfed in inky blackness.  I swung my sword about in a rage hittng nothing.  I began to search in earnest then, but the foul creature had eluded me.  I marched straight to the campfire and began flinging my armor off.  I needed to seek your face to seek your judgement for my error.  Who should be there but Daniella and that Aeridinite, Flint.  I confessed to Daniella that I had failed to aid her in her task and that Sion had escaped.  She asked for the details and I spat them out, still furious with Sion for not following through on his word, and furious at myself for believeing him.

Flint interjected that he hoped I was not around any one he cared for the next time I broke out into a rage.  He then offered to help me learn to control my anger.  I was tempted to give him a withering glare, but that made me realize how angry I was.  I focused myself and was able to calm down.

Flint went to run an errand in Hlint and Daniella helped me search again for Sion.  Of course we found nothing.  As our search concluded she told me she was sorry I was angry.  I got the feeling she meant about more than Sion escaping.   I reassured her my anger was gone, and that it was mostly directed at myself for assuming that the dark elf would would follow through on his Word, like any decent person...  But deep down I wonder,  did she have some insight?

Rofirein,  give me wisdom to see within myself.  Help me know what it is Right, and grant me the strength to accomplish it.

*Aeronn sits by the lake outside Hempshire*

Rofirein,  Its me, Aeronn.  I finally caught up with Lance.  He and El were in the Orc Bashers shop.  El was kind enough to give me some time with Lance in privacy.  I asked him about Daniella.  I told him I did not know what Anne told her to turn her against me.  He pointed out that if Daniella had been truly turned against me she would not consent to have me in  her presence any longer.
I then asked if he knew we had become..more than just fellow warriors and boon companions.  He nodded that he had.  I started to show him the ring, but he said he had already seen it.
I then asked him how I should proceed to win back her favor.  Lance replied that I must wait.  He said Daniella needs time to sort things out for herself.  He pointed out that Quantums disappearance has the church in a turmoil, and that is weighing on Daniella as well.
He then reminded me that if we truly care about some one we desire their own happiness above ours.
We were so deep in conversation, that before I knew it I blurted out that of course I loved her and wanted her to be happy.  *shakes his head*  Well at least I have said it myself now...
Time, so I must wait and be there for her until she knows herself..
He said that I should be concerned primarily for her happiness, I am, but lately she does not seem to be happy.  Perhaps when Quantum or perhaps Anne, or both have been found she will be happy.
I will wait, but I will have to be strong... Please give me that Strength..
In the meantime there are other issues I can take action on.  We meet soon to get to the bottom of Aerindors.. And now I begin my investigation into this dark elf Shadow dancer that seeks me. Perhaps he should find me.

Grant me the Wisdom to know what is Right and the Strength to accomplish it.

*after an extensive search through the records Aeronn finds what he is looking for.  A prisoner being released that was sentenced for a minor crime, one who has the unfortunate habit of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, but does not have the character to cause harm to others.  He makes his way to the jail and waits for the prisoner to be released, then he walks him to freedom, talking as they go*

So, If you have the desire to make honest coin for a change, I have a job for you.  Take this stack of fliers and distribute them at the Harpy, the Scamp's Mug, and other..similar places.  Here is 200 true, if you wish the job.

*The former prisoner nods happily, not quite believeing his good fortune*

Very well then.  If I find you have not done as agreed, I will find you and seek recompense.  *He then gives the former prisoner a stern look*

*The prisoner nods emphatically*  Sure, 'course Milord. Rest easy, I say I'll do it, its done.
*He scurries off, gold in hand*

//a gm can remove the gold from my account or catch me IG to collect.

*Aeronn closes his eyes as the gentle rocking of the ship lulls him to sleep. Memories flash through his mind*

A ship like this one caught in a squall that kept him from reaching Mistone in time to help search Arindor's Demise....

Daniella's face as she explained how everyone died on the excursion.....

The last time he faced Daniella in the Arena.  He asked if she yielded.  instead of her usual response, to ask him if he yielded she had stated simply that she was tired of fighting him..  the look of her slowly walking out of the arena..

Coming to in the Arena, Meryth's foot holding him down, Daniellas healing flowing through him...

Meeting Sion in the Wastelands again.  Telling Sion if he spoke ill of Daniella again it would be the last time he spoke... Sion promising to turn himself in when Q was found......

Recent travels with Lance, El, Trouble, and Danniella in Dregar...

Daniella offering him a now rare smile as she teased him about his poor climbing skills....

The sight of El and Lance together.....

The determined look on Daniella's face, almost any time he saw her these days...

*as sleep finally pulls him under, Aeronn mutters*

When Quantum is found.....

*Having made camp in the Wastelands, Aeronn is surrounded by friends.  As the conversation falls into an easy rhythm He leans his head back and closes his eyes.  Mental and physical exhaustion takes its toll and Aeronn falls asleep and dreams..*

Once again he and Daniella are by the campfire.  He has just said that he loves her.  She says that she loves him, but that she will not jeopardize her relationship with Toran for anything, or anyone...including him.  Tristan picks that moment to join them at the fire... Lightning flashes and the scene changes.

Aeronn is stumbling through rocky terrain, being chased by some terrible being.  He knows no fear, for he is cloaked in Rofirein's glory. He notices then the still figure he is carrying in his arms.  It is Daniella, her lifeless form pressing on his heart as well as his arms.  Then he knows that the creature behind him is the Soul Mother, gathering Daniella's last soul strand hungry for what lies at the end of it.  The knowledge spurs him to a great spurt of speed.  He knows if he can but get her to the Temple all will be well.

Finally at the foothills of a mountain chain Aeronn spots what he has been looking for, the door of a temple receeds into the mountain.  Aeronn sprints towards it, feeling the soul mother grow closer.   As he reaches the doorway he notices the temple is dedicated to the Great Gold.  Aeronn stops, his feet twitching as the Soul Mother grows closer.   A figure steps in front of the doorway to the temple.  A great shining light seems to radiate from him, making his features hard to see.  Aeronn is reminded of Lance somehow none the less.  The figure speaks in a voice of authority. "You may indeed save her this way, but will she be the same person when all is said and done?  Will she thank you for saving her this way?"

Aeronn turns with a growl and sprints off in a different direction,  almost feeling the soul mother's hands brush against his back.  He calls upon Rofiren to grant him strength and runs with renewed vigor.  In the distance a great Cathedral rises up and Aeronn pushes himself to reach it.  Finally the door is visible and Aeronn lunges for it.  Suddenly the rocks erupt and  Rofirein himself appears beside the temple door.  A great voice resonates across the landscape.  "A covenant exists between thou and me,  Aeronn Kirath.  Would you betray that covenant and face the consequences?  Behold, taste of what I speak!"

Suddenly Aeronn feels all the strength leave his body.  He falls to one knee, barely able to keep Daniella's form from spilling onto the rocky ground.  He howls in pain and knows fear once more as the Soul Mother looms closer.  He feels totally alone,  the only spot of warmth radiating from the memories attached to the woman he holds in his arms.  Sobbing in fear and lonliness Aeronn struggles to his feet, placing one foot closer to the cathedral door.

"So, Protector Kirath, do you think Daniella would still care for you in this state, bereft of your god, your reason for being?"  The bass voice demanded in a rumble loud as thunder.

Shaking his head in the negative, Aeronn uses the last of his strength to kick the Cathederal door open.  He hollers for help in a weak voice, calling for aid from someone, anyone.  Tristan appears at the door, a concerned look on his face.  With a nod he takes Daniella in his arms and spinning on his heels re-enters the temple, shutting the door in Aeronn's face. As the door shuts Aeronn hears him mutter, "Everyone wants to be a Toranite, eh?"

Aeronn hears the soul mother scream in fury and feels  her bearing down on him.  He starts to cower, when suddenly he feels full of strength and vitality, and is no longer afraid.  The soul mother charges him, but just before she reaches him a huge Golden wing slides between him and her and Aeronn feels secure and safe.

"Now you know what she truly fears, Protector.  The loss of her soul, of being disconnected from Toran.  Sometimes one has to live in the shoes of the other to understand.  Rest now and awaken refreshed and ready for your journey."  The voice of the Dragon is deep, but majestic and comforting rather than loud and intimidating.

*Aeronn awakens sometime in the middle of the night oddly refreshed.  He still feels sad, but the confusion has been replaced with understanding.  He nods to the group's sentry and then salutes and points to the road, letting the sentry know he is leaving.  A very short time later Aeronn stops and producing his small statue of Rofirein he kneels and prays*

Lord Protector, I thank you for your guidance.  You have shown me what is Right.  Please give me the strength to see it accomplished.

*Aeronn stands hastily, and without realizing it he wipes a single tear away and begins his march to Vehl*
