Thanks & Bye
« on: September 17, 2008, 09:49:40 PM »
Just wanted to say thanks to the few people I got to hang out with, mostly Keppli, Rocky and Tod, but I just can't get into this server.. It feels like I arrived at an amazing party about a half hour after the host went to bed, most of the guests left and the few stragglers who remain are all talking about the great time I missed.  If you know what I mean.  There just doesn't seem to be much point or purpose for a new player.

I'll give it another try when you have the MMO running.  Thanks again...

Ashame, never seen your character online but at the same time I do understand what you're trying to say. I actually had a few people mention to me today about starting new characters - I'd suggest to give it another shot if you can spare the time, but sometimes a group is difficult to find.

A few people like myself have been away during the summer term but should be about more now it has ended.
None the less, take care, hopefully we will see you back again.

That is a shame.  I always like to take new players around to get them acquainted with everything.  If you do try again and I'm around I'd be glad to take you around.

Getting started in most PWs has a significant investment.

Firstly, you have to reach a certain level before you can contribute in a meaningful way.

Secondly, quests, where you get to contribute to the larger world and interact with other characters in a meaningful way, have been a bit light-on for the past couple of months. This may have been in part due to the Olympics and summer in the northern hemisphere (when people should be outside and not in front of their computers all day).

I suggest that you have to reach about tenth level before you hold your own, and have been around long enough for the people whom you don't regularly interact with to have seen and take notice of you, and also, just to learn the ropes; things become easier when you know how they work.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Script Wrecked.

Aww... gonna miss Wisper. Even though I didn't see her much, that was a great character, especially fun when Rocky got mad at the three of us speaking halfling...:)
I can't stop you leaving, but if you ever decide to come back, give me a holler and I'll most probably come, unless somebody is giving me pie-making lessons or something. :D
Was fun Rp'ing with your character, so thank you, and good luck for the future.

I know I'm new, but hit me up and I'll party up with you, I play a reasonable amount, I hope that might help entice you back :).

Aww! We'll really miss her. If you ever play agian, send a tell and Tod will sit down and tell her things that are taking place. He'll enjoy the company. Hopefully you'll make it back for the next party, they often stop and start another only a couple hours after the first right? It has been fun RP'ing with Miss Wisper. Thanks! ^_^

Wispy, even the quiet bard will miss you. Its nice to have characters around at a similar level so everything is equally difficult. For me just walking across some areas is still injurious to my health whilst the higher levels run around playing games as they know they cannot be hurt.

Hope you decide to come back. The conversations do bring everyone down to the same level except of course the dwarf who can out talk the dm.

fare you well! and Damnation! be back soon!

I will miss you!

Really enjoyed that night of sneaking after you small folk watching over you and then playing the prank at the end.
