Never have I played such an "out of the box" thinking, freestyle game. From protozoa, to flipperfish, to mudskipper to lizard thing to mammal, avian, alien or beyond... this game is just the ultimate creative experience. I never grow tired of making new random races... through this game every potential science fiction writer can brainstorm.
So far I made the Urdlen, based off the oft neglected forgotten realms diety of CE gnomes... a bloodthirsty 50 foot albino mole with steel claws bent on eating anything that moves. Next it was the racoon-i-platy-bat-i-ankylo-owlbear. ad then the Xargs, one-legged militant frog people with cicada wings and a scorpionlike tail with an eye and tentacles on the end. Like I said, you can design new weird races for hours.
I definitely recommend it for any creative souls or diehard PnP GMs who have run through the monstrous handbook all to many times. Abberation or animal, you can make a hundred and not get bored. When you hit the space age and run around in your saucer abducting animals on par with what you once used to play as, it just gets weird.
