A man with bright red eyes, slightly shorter than a normal human, comes into the town of Hlint, and ask to find Captain Nefzen to report to her after being told that he could to her. After some direction, he comes to her but stays slightly away awkwardly. For a few moments he tells her what he's seen in the broken forest and then ask her if there is anything he can do to help.

After telling her what he saw and felt and getting no answers on how he could help, he simply shrugs and walks away leaving her where she can send word to him.

* A person armoured in leather dyed to the colors of the forest and wearing a cloak with a faded, embroidered dragon on the back comes into Hlint.  Finding Capt. Nefzen's post unattended, he leaves a note for her before moving on. Having spoken with her several times before, his writing tends toward the familiar: *

Capt. Alicia,

On the afternoon of Novlar 13, I, and some others, witnessed another appearance of this black horned horse (unicorn?) which has been seen, off and on, for the past few months.  Like the previous sightings, it just up and disappeared as suddenly as it had arrived. But, unlike in the previous sightings, this animal a) made no threatening gestures, b) caused me, at least, no specific unease (though no domesticated animals were present), and c) appeared, not near Hlint, but in the Hallowlight.  The red-eyed fellow who may have reported in to you recently was one of those present at this sighting.

Near the end of Oclar, I was with a party heading into the Black Dogs to locate the place where another sighting had occurred a short day before. We found horse-like prints on the ground but could discern no track coming or going. And, as I understand it, there was yet another sighting a few weeks prior to that, in the Goblin Wastes.

Let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

*a road weary traveler with a clover symbol dangling from his belt sits in in the wild surge inn, sharing his tale about the previous trip to the deep over a drought of Iron Hammer Bock, leaving out major details and making it seem exaggerated as the ale gets to him. he mentions the black horse making it's appearance, with it's fiery eyes and pitch black hide.*
