Failure to Screenshot

Hey.

I'm having a problem with screenshots recently.  Specifically, no matter how often or when I hit the key to take a screenshot, they aren't saved in the NWN screenshots folder or anywhere else.  It was working about a month ago because I've got some screenshots from Jennara's WLDQ, but it doesn't work now.

I don't have any idea what could have changed.  I tried changing the hotkey from Print Screen in case that one just wasn't working (even though the game shows that little stutter as if it did do something), but that didn't help.  Is there an .ini setting somewhere I can check out?  Has anyone else had this happen?

Mine started switching spots in the NWN folders for a while there.  I'd peek around and see if they're going elsewhere.

You could be overwriting old Screenies...  *shrugs*  I donno how NWN saves Screen Shots, but it could be possible if you take many Screen shots.

Actually, once you get over a certain amount, they will stop saving. Convert them to jpegs and clear out your tgas and it should work again.

Happens to me every now and then when I get to the gb range of screenies, heh.

I've searched everywhere, even in non-NWN folders, and can't find any of the screenshots that should have been taken.  I remember they used to be saved straight into the NWN folder and now into the fairly new screenshots folder, but the pics that should be there just don't exist anywhere.

There are only ten pics in the folder, so the folder can't really be overflowing.  That would be a sad little limit, heh.

And since there are only ten and I've hit the key twenty or more times in every test I've tried without it overwriting anything, that's not the problem, either.

I'm strongly considering reinstalling everything to see if that helps.

Yeah I don't know if it's not full. The limit is pretty hefty.

Alrighty.  Weird stuff.  I reinstalled, but it didn't really help.  I think.  

I've been testing in single player with the pre-made characters and the demo scenarios.  I tried the House of Doors demo, and hit the Print Screen key seven times.  Then I moved around a little so it would be easier to distinguish the shots, remapped the key to Print Screen to sorta reset it, and hit it seven more times.  Then I exited to the menu and started the Cat Lady one with the same character and did the same thing as before.  Then I exited the game and checked the screenshot folder.

There were ten new screenshots.  Not twenty-eight like there should have been, not none like before, but ten.  Those ten were a mix of the fourteen shots taken in the House of Doors demo, some before the move and some after.  There were no screenshots at all from the Cat Lady demo.  

I have no idea what's going on.  I may make one of those possibilities my own and retaliate after all.

Everyone take note: That is apparently an awesome, effective, MAGICAL threat.  Use as necessary.  Screenshots seem to be working normally now, despite doing nothing but threatening textually to retaliate.  I am tempted to take bets on how long this proper functioning will last, though...
