Navarre, the Who?
« on: February 15, 2009, 12:38:59 PM »
So I was reading some info on Lore about Toran and the Oaths and Vows of the Paladins, and came across the name Navarre...

 And thats it...

So who was Navarre?  IT mentioned that name as being the First Paladin...  but thats it...  I've also seen the name mentioned in a CDT regarding something to the effect of Navarre being forgiven or accepted by Toran...  and something sounding like it had to do with the Rofie/Toran Split...  I'm just curious who this person was since they seem really important...

I believe that the important thing about Navarre is that he was the first paladin of Toran, even though that may seem like a silly answer to your question. The rest of the story about him involves why the split happened and I am not sure that it is supposed to be known by everyone, but it does involve a trial over the things he did to fall from Torans grace...

Heh, saw your name on the LORE users and I was looking at exactly the same thing funnily enough...
Aside from myself being Thief Of Navarre (purely coincidence I assure you!) I dont know! There seems to be a few gaps in the LORE that I havnt been here long enough to learn or are as yet unwritten...

Perhaps it might constitute a quest of learning for your character; would be pretty neat going on a mission to find out the dark history of the Toran faith :)

I think the only thing to remember though is that even though this is now a very large part and very important to the followers of Toran dogma, it is not all inclusive to Toran's dogma.

      yup...

Redemption is great.  It just doesn't always work that way unfortunately.

If you have access to or will have access to the Toran's forum, I believe there are some more information there.

But yes, Navarre was the first Paladin.. and he fell (correct me if I'm wrong) then... he got caught or surrender himself and was judged by the Rofireinites at the demand of the Toran's church... a judgement was pass but it was not taken well by the Toranites (although I believe Navarre did accept the judgement)... and since then the two Gods (or churches) are at odds.

So as a reminder, the info on the statues near the temples are wrong... Rofirein and Toran aren't allied anymore.... Toran is neutral to Rofirein while the Great Gold is still friendly to Toran.

PS: if this is divulging information that should remain in the Rofirein or Toran's circle.. feel free to erase this post.

Players playing Toranites can assume that information is available to them quite easily.
