*As a general note, endra isnt one who writes a journal or keeps one.
This is more to keep track of trip as she strives to become whatever it is she will become.

So far in her journey she has met many wild and crazy new friends. Some more honest than others, btu what do you expect in the world. Not everyone is a bright and fuzzy gnome who makes things that go boom.

Endra has made the acquaintence of one darthirae. An elf who seems to be very intersted in dragons nad a wierd green dragon cult.

Speaking in whispers she told endra of the cult and some of their goings on. Most notably she spoke about how they are capturing and poisoning dragons for their own use thru the use of a magical potion/ poison. It somehow suppresses the dragons own personality and thoughts adn lets the dragon cult control them.

ANother side effect of the potion is if a mortal drinks it (mortal being your standad elf, human, dwarfy, whatever types) then tey will take on the characteristics of a half dragon creature. It is violent, and strong, has no mind except the will of its masters. There is only one known cure and that is very rare. Its the same cure for both dragons and the dragon men.

The cure:
Stardust of Nora (i cant remember the exact spelling since i lost the log of the chat)- it comes from a comet that passed by recently
A unicorns tear- a flower that blooms where a unicorns tear fell
A unicorns mane
and one other thing i cant remember at this particular point. (*hits herself for not using the journal in game)

The telling of this tale was very interesting to endra since it sparked memories of her father telling stories of dragons. Mostly bad ones, but also of the dragon called. Those who were called to fight in the blood war by some great gold or silver dragon.

Drinking in a the tavern at fort wayfare, endra got into an argument witha local after a few one too many drinks. (go figure that!)

The gist of the argument was about the fact that the town had indeed been nearly burned to the ground by a sick silver dragon many years ago. Endra didnt believe it at first. Mainly because if a dragon decided to burn down your town, the town would be gone the people eaten or fled.

Seems it just landed in the middle of town, started spewing fire nad destroying everything in sight until some crazy adventurers fought it off. It flew away and that was that.

After sobering up abit, endra remembered the story and started to think it might be true if the dragon was sick. Remembering darthiraes story about hunted dragons and the poison.

*yes i took the liberty of this being an OOC knowledge but figured it would be well known to the locals even as a myth.

well, endra met her first dragon the other day. Well..maybe not a dragon but a real ugly wyrm in the bottom of a an elven ruin in the middle of whitehorn forest.

Unfortunately she met her end from the creatures oozy minions who froze her and ate her. Not a pleasant way to go mind you. She still shudders at the thought of oozes and avoids jellies of all kinds now, especially green grape.

Upon seeng the wyrm she immediateley felt sorry for it, since it was making its home in the bottom of a foul smelling, mossy and dusty crypt with nothing for company except the foul oozes everywhere. This of course turned to terror very quickly as her party was immediately set upon by the creature and its horde of oozes.

Upon her return to hte bindstone she immediately set out to the local tavern and began began washing herself and her gear till she was raw and dust on her gear was gone. the effect of oozes being rather traumatic to her as opposed to an ogres club to the head.

She then drank herself into a stupor. Oozing herself to the floor after one to many.

Since then, she has decided to try nad learn the story of the ruins, though as yet has not met anyone IG that knows it.

WEll..the story so far. She hasnt come across any dragons yet, but she has made friends with tyra dragonheart. Though hte quiet and surly dragonheart doesnt talk much, they have had some interesting conversations about dragons. Though mostly general in content, the cult and what they are doin have come up frequently.

Endra has also travelled extensively with Darthirae, an elf who is very interested in all things dealing with the cult.

he has also finally heard the tale of the whitehorn ruins. The fall of the elves in that region all those years ago and the dragons used in that time.

She has also heard rumors of a great blue living in teh deserts of dregar somewhere. She might be trying to convince some unwary adventureres to take a peek. Not to mess with her mind you, but just to see it.

As Endra has traveled the lands of dregar and mistone she has been told more and more stories about dragons and what has been going on.

The stories she's heard about Ozlo and the dragon called really piqued her curiosity and her next step is to learn more about him and how he died.

She has been to Fire Island, and though everyone was dead set against it..she felt drawn to see Fisty. Not so much to talk to him, but to gaze on his dragonish magnificence. She has been denied this for seeing the blue dragon in the desert too. Everyone seems to think she is nuts for wanting to meet one. I dont know why that is.

She has been to the bottom of the platty mines in the battlehelm swamps and was excited to see the cave of the great green that used to live there but was sadly disappointed at the state of the old cave. All filled with spiders and such.

Im having her being drawn to these places since its part of the description of RDD in LORE.

She has heard that the library at blackford castle might yield some knowledge on dragons and maybe a few more stories for her learn about them. She has started to develop her curiosity about learning to speak dragonish after darthi mentioned it might be possible since the loremasters (dragonlinks) in spellgard or blackford know an awful lot about them. And what better way to learn about dragons than too learn their language. That and shes really really wanting to have a chat with one.

So once she gets done digging some sand to pay off a few debts, she is gonna make her way to blackford and see what she can find out. From there probably Spellgard or the Aragenites on Alindor (forget the name of the fort) since shes doing Alexie's quest and once she realizes what they (araganites) do she will pester them too!

So now having spent much time reading and trying to find lots of interesting fun facts about dragons in the great library.

Our heroine has discovered the tale of sinthar bloodstone as written by the late great ozymandius.

So the golden dragons were brought to the world by the toleflor. And after that came the chromatic dragons. They fought and fought until after much slaughter made an uneasy truce. They then set about creating the lesser beings and eventually they fought some more. This time the chromatics focused more on fighting the lesser beings (us) than direct confrontation with the metallics. From this conflict sinthar arose, and waged war on both chromatics and metallics (dragons that is).
In the end he nearly wiped them both out before being fought to a standstill..relatively speaking. SInthar was tried for crimes against life, amongst other things and at the urging of the chromatics was banished from this realm. As part of this truce many dragons left our world never to return. Sinthar was banished and so ended the first blood war until his return.

This has been her research so far at the great library. There werent many tomes available to look at as a PC IG on dragon lore Though what she did find does start to shed much light on the origins of the dragons.

She also discovered a tome or 2 about rofirien, she seems to like him. Except his mind is too much on the strict adherence of the law, blah blah blah...Endra being a bit chaotic just wants to do good and help out. Not necesarily in lawful manner. That, and a little chaos never hurt anyone. But she feels he is much too rigid for her taste and doesnt believe in a little fun now and then.

She doesnt particularly care pyrtechion either. His ideas of absolute destruction being the best thing for everyone seems a bit extreme. Sure a little mayhem and destruction every once in a while can lead to a greater good (forest fires clear away dead undergrowth and provide nutrients to the soil so that new growth can spring up; we impeach bad government officials and replace them with good ones...err..maybe thats not a good example). But she likes life and feels that it is a good thing. I mean, she wants to live after all. Sure, blowing up a church or town sounds like alot of fun (especially if they are bad or corrupt-hmmm...maybe we could get a dragon to eat rael) but in the end it can be more detrimental and cause more harm than good.

She also discovered, or feels she may have discovered abit about her past. Nothing direct mind you, but perhaps she is of grey elf descent. Given her silvery hair, and sorcerous abilities (greys being very magic oriented). As she seems drawn to dragon lore, she is starting ot get very keen on the idea of learning the language. Now, not that all grey elves speak draconic, but it was a language listed as one they would commonly speak (assuming they were wizards and apparently many greys were). So perhaps she heard it as a small child before she was washed up on the shores of mistone. She may not speak the language, but when she hears it, she may recognize or feel she recognizes some of the flow of it...more feelings than actual knowledge.

//From personal experience and reading about language (and loving to learn language though im terrible at it) i can say that as a young child if a language is exposed to them on a regular basis even if they dont learn it. When in the future they decide to learn it, or are exposed to it again it doesnt seem completely foreign to them. Yes they cant understand a word of it, or follow it..but it makes the learning of it easier for some reason, probably due to past familiarity with the rhythm or intonations or something on a subconscious level. I know it certainly helped me when i was learning korean. i spent alot of time at a childhood friends home who was korean and was exposed to the language quite frequently though never bothered to learn it then. When i later had the opportunity to visit korea and learn the language it came pretty easily to me..at least the basics of it and being able to listen and follow along (meaning i could differentiate words and patterns, just not understand a word they were saying). Korean is a hard language even for koreans!

In endras case, when she eventually hears it it may evoke certain feelings that have long been hidden from her. Driving her to learn it even more. ANd she may find a certain knack for it, though that has yet to be determined.

As far as her being a grey elf...upon her creation i had thought about it, but then i wanted to leave her history blank to be discovered later. So who knows what may happen. Could be coincidence that she has silvery hair like grey elves. Not planning on asking for anything mind you, but merely noting it as an RP tool.

Her next stop...the temple of aragen

Okay, the next chapter....

Endra has made her way to bydell caslte and has spoken at length with one Zacham Mel'fess, savant. A current researcher and librarian within the aragenite temple.

Upon chatting with Zachem, Endra came to realize that the research notes she discovered in the great library were somewhat skewed in their interpretations of the past. Seems that ozy fellow had quite a high opinion of himself.

So, the dragon species are not at war with each based on thier subspecies type (metallics vs chromatics). Its just some tend to fight for good and some for evil or whatever dragons tend to fight about when they get ticked at each other. Anyways, legends say the dragons were the first sentient critters to walk the lands of layo. Where they came from is lost to the mists of time and no one truly knows.

Seems they had a bunch of their own gods too, but only 2 remain. Rofirien and pyrtechion. The rest, well..who knows what happened to them.
Its said that the races fo men, dwarfs, elfs and all were created to fight in the wars between those that wanted to do good, and those that wanted to lay claim to everything.

Now, this is were teh sinthar story seems to have taken place. Seems he was the general of some great dragon and bound to his service. Well, the dragon died and after that sinthar took it upon himself that all dragons, good or ill needed to be destroyed. It was during this time that the first great culling of the dragons took place. It also seems that it was at this time that the dragon gods began to fade away or do whatever it is they decided to do.
In the end, only pyrtechion and rofirien remained.

So now, only a few remaining that are in the public eye at all. Fisty, Ozlo (who died when blood returned), black plague and blue death.

Recent events though, seem to indicate that the dragons are in much greater numbers than was first imagined..laying hidden away from teh views of most mortals for centuries. Whereas it was once common to see em flying around doing what it was that dragons did, to being a creature rare and wandrous and hidden so that mortals can live their lives without ever seeing one.

So now, in returnj for teh research of zacham on dragons endra has to seek out tomes of knwledge in exchange.

She now has her first mission. In return for one of the following: A book of knowledge; 5 scrolls penned by wizards or bards of some ability on whatever topic they deem fit to write about, or 15 5th circle scrolls or higher. He will perform research for her on the various species of dragons.

She has chatted with a couple of people, been given names and sent out missives to those whom she thinks may be if help to her. She is currently seeking out a few people she hopes to catch IG and sent messenger birds to them. She has sent pms to those who havent been around lately but still show up randomly.

Her next step will be to talk to the angels guild as she knows they have a few well known wizards on hand and also the new school of magic in hempstead. She may even stop by morakens to say hello. Though shes never met him..she has dropped by a few times with other adventurers. As they dropped off his lost ring.

Sheesh...traveling hte length nad breadth of mistone..jstu for a few scrolls!

Well, after doing lots of errands and convincing those with more smarts than her, endra finally was able to acquire the 5 scrolls she needed.

Now after taking a small break and soothing her writing hand which is more suited to holding a blade than pen, she will head back up to visit with zacham.

Hopefully the scrolls will please him and fulfill his every desire.

Listening to a bards tale is fun, writing as she goes isn't so much fun. Shes a fighter, not a stenographer!

Endra has stopped by the aragenite temple a few times to see if zacham has finished his research for her.

She chatted with the receptionist for abit, and left a message for him to contact her when he was available as she had what he has requested of her.

She has also recently heard rumors that the green dragon cult has recently started moving thru mistone via the swamps south of hempstead. Since she has a keen interest in them shes gonna try and find a few of them and see what they are up to. And maybe try to spoil a few well laid plans (though most likely she will just get hammered while trying to cause a ruckus!

well...Endra has been quite the busy girl. Seems her and darthirae had a very nice discussion on dragons recently.

According to her info, the dragons are being affected by a 'venom' that was first seen in the very first dragon wars. Apparently it subdues a dragons will, making it more malleable to the one who poisoned them. It also causes those who come into contact with the venom to change and mutate into some sort of half dragon, called drachs. Her theory is the venom is tied to the bloodpools, seems to give it the ability to work, she also seems to think its made from dragon blood or dragon body parts. She also tends to think its sentient, thats how it knows to jump around from one host to the next and to subdue its prey from within.

She also talked about half dragons...those who for whatever reason have a link to dragons from ages past. Seems the dragons can help bring this out of a person to create a half dragon follower, if they so choose. Apparently, during the first dragon wars these were fairly plentiful in the world. Until most were wiped out in the war. Mostly due to this venom stuff, a plague created by dragons to fight dragons. Both darthi and endra though seem to think these are the ones to help the dragons the most, to fight the drachs and prevent the corruption of more dragons. Obviously endra has become very keen to this idea, especially since its the first time she has heard of these half dragons.

Endra told her what zacham shared with her about the dragons and dragon gods, and blood and to endras surprise darthi also seemed ot know agreat deal about that also..In fact, she said she knew the names of 3 of the former dragon gods. She also seemed to have hints about the rumored locations a few dragons upon mistone. Or at least their general locations.

Seems the dragon stealers were searching storans tomb for some sort of secret passge. Where it leads and to what she doesnt know. But she assumes it is a dragon in hiding.

Another place was in the wilds someplace, though she aint sure exactly where Seems it was the ire mountains though according to her sources. Seems some adventurers happened upon a small little girl dressed in red. She demanded tribute, and when it wasnt forthcoming, pretty much laid waste to the group. She said she got her info, and i should try to find someone named isherwood...or fisherwood or something along those lines. He was there supposedly.

She also said to seek out argali, seems she knows the location of a dragon herself. Though argali being argali, she aint saying a word to no one.

So now between the two, they are on the hunt aid what dragons they can. Under the assumption that many dragons do not yet know about the dragon cult or what they are doing. So endra and her are going to begin searching for them to try and prepare them for whats coming and aid them against the cult.

Endra now has even more questions for zacham, and a lot more focus for what she is doing.

More news on the little red haired girl...Endras friend the duchess was one of those who encountered the little girl in the ire mountains. Time for endra to have a heart to heart with her.

Seems the dragon is quite concerned with honor. Though is not necessarily a goody goody. Though endra hasnt learned the details of the encounter, she seems to like the girl already.

In her talks with darthi on how to approach a dragon...getting its attention without becoming a meal being the main one, is now one of their main topics. Endra seems to think trying ot at least learn a proper greeting in the draconic tongue is a good way in. That and flowery language that keeps the dragon interested without telling too much until the time is right. Endra is gonna have to work on that part. O.o

A solid hello at least is a start.

Well...turns out endras friend eleandilethessa (dutchess to her friends) has acquired the interest of the 'little red haired girl'.

She was one of the group that met the girl in the mountains originally, and since then has met her on at least one more occasion. It also seems the girl has been searching for dutchess...For what even the duchess doesnt seem to know. O.o

She has agreed however, to let endra know if the two ever plan to meet at a specific time or place so she can be there. Right now, she only knows the girl has been seeking her out or at least, seeking info on her.

Either way, the girl gets around. From ire to hlint to hempy. She seems to have a pretty broad territory. Or at least no fear of traveling along way by herself. A very brave little girl she is!

Endra has also secured, by proxy, the aid of the headmaster of the school of magic, omer. Apparently Darthirae has spoken to him and arranged for him to aid endra in certain tasks. She wasn't to specific on what he agreed to do to help endra, but being the head of a school of magic must mean he has resources endra wouldn't normally have access to and skills he is willing to use on her behalf.

Well...its certainly been a fruitful return for our heroine...

She has made the acquaintance of one brac'ar fireface. Witnessed the awesome might of his missile storm and had a small chat with him regarding dragons.

Oh, and it seems tyra has a bit of the comet dust required for the dragon plague cure...interesting.

She learned of the mighty golden emerald that is very very ancient. She lives on Voltrex and was apparently around during the dragon wars. At least, thats the speculation based on how old they were saying she is. Perhaps a visit..she does seem tolerant of visitors at any rate.

She did inquire as to perhaps learning the language and was told that we didnt have the proper vocal cords to even speak it, though he does have knowledge as to some of the language to some degree. What and how much remains to be seen, if at all as he didnt seem to privy to sharing the information. He did mention that acacea may have similar notes on the matter. Oh yes, he also said endra would most likely be eaten or worse if she tried to speak it since they would so offended at any attempt to speak it.

Regarding dragon disciples...bracar did say it required an infusion of a dragons blood as part of the ritual for becoming one. Though for him the price was too steep, as it required losing some portion of ones free will. Totally unacceptable to him. Though for endra...she is isnt so sure...at least..she may not see it in the same light that bracar does. Knights nad priests serve, as do politicians...and ultimately they do give up some of their freedom in order to do so. Endra is looking for some greater purpose, maybe choosing ot serve as disciple is hers.

Now, its back to Bydell to see if Zacham has returned. And to leave a message.

Once more unto the breach!

After much travelling, endra has returned to mistone. Her first stop, bydell to see if zacham has returned from his mission for the aragenites.

Her next stop, the postmaster to see about delivering a message to one Miss Acacea Thistletongue, punddle jumper, spider slaying, pie killer! In her missive to acacea endra has asked her for meeting regarding possibly learning some lore on the dragons and also, thanks to a Bracar, perhaps pick her brain about the dragon language. Bracar alluding to the fact that she may have some good notes on the subject, and he being a hunted dwarfy wizard not wanting to share his notes for whatever reason.

Seems things have been going on all over the place...war has finally broke out.

Dragons are still under the sway of the cultists, their mutant spawn the drachs are nothing but trouble. Rumor has it hordes have been wiped out but there are still many too be rooted out and destroyed. Molvaren is digging in and the alliance is now stuck at briardusk.

What to do...then this fortuitous rumor of dragons flying around. Getting back onto her goal Endra decides this is the best course of action. She is gonna see about the dragons nicking farmers herds. It seems obvious to her that they are trying to keep their movements somewhat quiet, attacking during the night.

SHe heads off to the affected villages, to try and gather what info she can in hopes of finding the beasts and seeing what can be done. Something is obviously going on with them and she means to find out what.

After questioning the locals in point dart endra retires to her room at the local inn where she goes over her maps. Examining all the marks put down of the currently reported sightings, Endra is forced to conclude that there are multiple dragons about.

THere is one most probably living in the mountains of storms. Most likely in the lower part of the range. If the details of the cobblers story are correct it sounds like it may be a gold dragon, though its age is hard to guess.

The reports from the southern part of the world indicate that another dragon(s) are making their home somewhere off the coast of those islands.

The distances are far to great from teh various affected places and for the amount of food being taken seem to point to this conclusion also.

After putting her maps away, endra settles in for the night, semi confident of her next plan of action.

Endras plan is simple. And hopefully she will survive it.

Using the animals purchased from point dart, endra makles her way into the pasture lands between said port nad barbas and the first victims farm. She will ideally settle a bit north, putting herself between the mountains and the local herds.

Securing the animals as strongly as she can, endra sets her trap. THe dragon flies down..sees the animals and tries to make away with them. ENdra then uncovers a few shiny gems shes enchanted with light to make them all the easier to see to get the dragons attention.

Hopefully he takes the bait, goes to see whats what. Endra pops up and says hello.

Best outcome, dragon says hello back and is amazed enough at her audacity to have a bit of a conversation with her. in which case...yay!

Second best-he takes the gems, a cow or two and leaves endra alive and hopefully remembers her. Endra will then hopefully mark his age, his exact direction of travel and other pertinent information she can think of on the fly.

Worse case...she gets turned into elf flambe...not good. Her measly elemental protection and speed belt (belt of acquisition) may not be enough to save her.

And so it begins....

After picking out a few promising spots along northern edges of the grazing lands, yet near inline with where the reported dragon attacks occurred. Nothing...

As endra sits on a rock, watching her grazing cattle...she pulls out her notes and starts to go over them to see if theres anything she missed...

1st- decilar 2, 1482...2 attacks...near point dart

2nd- junar 25, 1484...dasbar

3rd- febra 18, 1485- off coast of point dart

4th- Apreal 2, 1485- rollings hills fire

5th- apreal 18, 1485- fire in saddleback

6th- jenra 1, 1486- pig farm NE corner of dasbar

7th- augra 1, 1486- near point dart, jstu west of last encampment (another pig farm)

time...*slaps herself in the forehead....

SO this is his territory it seems...and his route most likely. endra starts betting that there have been a few random fires that werent reported, or even stolen cattle from farmers who were afraid to seem like they were crazy.

saddleback, south towards point dart, towards dasbar, onto the rolling hills along the southern border of the storm mountains to the rolling plains and back.

now to shift her camp and talk to a few farmers and locals and make sure there wasnt anything odd they 'forgot' to mention
