Honeybee, daughter of Bumblebee and Daisy
« on: July 01, 2009, 04:17:51 PM »
It's been too long since I rolled up a PC in NWN. Any advice welcome!

What's minimum age for a brownie PC?

Can bards get feats needs to be shadowdancer?

If cleric, what domains? (I imagine her following Bee's lead towards the end of his career and specializing in healing. This is what ultimately caused him to leave the trails for life in the church. Well, that and a gorgeous redhead!)

feats for PrCs are general feats

For a SD you need Dodge, Mobility, which just need 13 DEX to take, every thing else is Skill points.  10 Hide, 8 Move Silently, 5 Tumble (i'm sure you knew that though)

Depends on the the God for a cleric...

Brownies are all Prunilla.

She could be a cleric shadowdancer? That I'd enjoy most, I think.

It's possible, but you'd have to wait till epic for SD.  Clerics don't get enough points to sure of 23 points of cross class skills in 15 levels (unless you give high INT and sink almost all your points into SD). 5  Rogue, 10 Cleric, 5 SD could be done though...  But might require a number of CDQs

And yes, Bards can make it to SD (mechanically)...  Does it fit lore?  I would think so...

I like the cleric of Prunilla most. It just feels right when I imagine Bumblebee's and her story. Domains of Healing and Earth. Shadowdancer would be a nice touch, since that really defined Bee's life up until his retirement.

The minimum age is kind of tricky. Assuming Honeybee was a honeymoon gift (heehee) I could perhaps stretch her age to 22 or perhaps a bit more given how Bee was played.

Anyone know the official minimum age for a brownie PC?

Gonna have to ask Ed, I can't find it on LORE

Also, you can only get to 9 ranks ((15 + 3)/2) in a cross-skill (Hide, Move Silently, and Tumble for a Cleric) by level 15 (the maximum class level when multi-classing, pre-epic), missing the 10 ranks required for Shadowdancer's Hide.

It's here:
LORE: Races of Layonara

Brownies get the same life expectancy as halflings.

Could PnP burn a feat for 'Skill focus: Hide' to speed up this process? Does that count towards maximum ranks in a cross-class skill?

Or, PnP, a deity with the trickery domain? Shadon springs to mind - though obviously quite the departure in direction when comparing to Prunilla.

Unfortunately not (and a trap for young players). Skill Focus acts as a bonus to checks, rather than an increase in rank.

Adult for a brownie (whose base race is halfling) is "around 20" on LORE. I think that will work for Honeybee without any need for fudging.

Pure cleric of Prunilla will be the path she takes.

Thanks for help!

I think it's level 17 for a cross-class to SD.  That is, pure cleric to SD.  So it gets a little tricky.

5  Rogue, 10 Cleric, 5 SD could be done though...  But might require a number of CDQs

technically you don't need cdq's to make rogue and cleric, as long as you can manage to well balance it in your bio from the start up, and explain how it came to be that she learned the rogue skills while being devoute to her god. Then after ward when you have reached the necessary level you apply for the sd which will probably require one cdq for it.
