Author Topic: Uber Double Spawn in Dregar Desert (Read 344 times)

Description: Mangle, Nonac and Fenthon were going to the desert on Dregar past the drake hill en route to Audria and as soon as we got into the center palm tree pathway, BOTH spawns lept out at once and we were swarmed by 2 fireball shamans and no less than 8 giant monks. Had about 2 seconds before we were wiped out entirely, a team of a lvl 15th fighter/barbarian with over 200hp, a 13th ranger rogue with over 120 hp and a lvl 9 rogue. A little overpowered for the area, and we were hit by both sides at once

Location: Entrance to the Desert with the Tent right next to the Black Hills drake on the way to Audria

Reproducable: Unless this was just bad timing or a lag spike.

Just checked the area in the toolset. I'm fairly confident it hasn't been changed in...a very long time (like since v3 was released). There are two spawns in that area, and it's likelyto trip both of them passing from transition to transition. If the two shamans came from the same place though, I'm going to bank on lag spike.

If you pass from the space in between the tent and the trees that separates both section of the map, then yes you will trigger both spawns and all the giants will be able to see you with they uber supergiant sight. On the other hand, if you pass by the other side of the tent... *shrugs*

Just checked it again with invisible Annie. It appears it was a lag spike, as when she jogged through, the giants were visible before the chokepoint. I'll periodically approach it from all angles just to be sure.
