In the event of a server crash (or any other downtime), please give it a few minutes once it's up before logging in again. Multiple people logging on before everything is all happy and loaded usually just kill it again and starts a vicious cycle.
Try waiting d10+6 minutes or something like that.
It's often not a problem due to admins changing the passwords when necessary to give it a breather, but a lot of people probably either don't remember or never knew, so just a reminder either way.
