Arranging for A Trip Into Vehl

"Uh, yeah, it's kind of a...well, I picked it up from this poultry farmer guy I met, he called women chicks...yeah."  Trailing off, he looks around for the source of the faint humming with a glance at Sam in case it's another bug.

[Lance Stargazer]

*As he looks down to his notes again finally his ear catching the humming, he moves his head again around, he pulls out of  his arm a strange looking lenses with lots of gears on one side and place it over his right eye, as he lift his head, the riduculously big brown eye can be seen from the magnitude of the big round glass , blinking on the eye looks even more awkward as he scans around and then finally stops upon the "apparent" empty chair*

*he then smiles and turns a bit red himself as he speaks *  

Rao !!! Oui paah muhk rana?

 An E sayh ..Rammu?

*he seems a bit flushed all of sudden*

Follows Armand's gaze to the chair and grins.

[Alatriel]

Samantha seems to prefer to stand, looking rather uncomfortable, and the color draining from her face as she notes the roach that Ty squashes.  "I um... don't know much about chickens, but... I can help with undead."  She bites her lip.  "Would it be possible to discuss this somewhere other than here?"  Her voice seems to have reached a higher pitch than normal, indicating a greater degree of discomfort.

[RollinsCat]

"Yeah, okay, this place has a lot of ears...but not near the temple, either."  A discomforted look of his own, and a scowl.  "Someplace kinda neutral...the arena's not running anything right now.  We have to wait for the rest though."

[Alatriel]

Samantha's eyes narrow suspiciously.  "Is there some reason you're worried about the temple's knowledge of these activities?"

[RollinsCat]

"No."  Defensively at first, then he sighs and stands to speak to her with some privacy.  "Aesthir's been hassling me.  Just don't feel like running into him is all."  Raises his voice just enough so Armand and whoever he is all excited about - the scout has a guess, and it returns a smile to his face - can hear.  "Whoever we find that was responsible for the undead or the cursed harp Mel had and stuff, happy to turn 'em over to the authorities."

[Nehetsrev]

*Just then a commotion is heard from the kitchen, followed by the sound of someone small stomping up the stairs backwards and shouting angrilly some odd phrases.  As the tiny Halfling form backs up to the top steps, he can be see to be holding three largish rats by their tails, waving them for effect at someone at the bottom of the stairs.*
 
 "Emwonk requires mettalic circular conduits, exchange for even flow, alternate rodentia recycle locality!!!  Entity verballed prior affirmations regarding mettallic circular conduits!"
 
 *some muffled reply with equally angry tones filters up from below, but the words cannot be made out.  However, it is apparent from the Halfling's next actions that whatever was said was not something he found agreeable.  With an angry snarl he lets loose the three rats, who all immediately scamper in different directions.  Then the Halfling shouts down to the person below once more, "Null cognative avian cranial!!!"  He makes a rather rude gesture aimed down the stairs, and then turns to walk toward the exit, brushing off dust and straightening his collar as he goes.  At the same time tiny bolts of electricity arc up and down his person in random waves.*

[Lance Stargazer]

*Armand looks at the strange halfling thru the big augmenting crystal of his lens, he does some adjustments towards the focus and then sees him moving out*

" Woah.. That guy is sparkling.. " he keeps the eyes on the halfling with some sympathy and intrest , but then returns his gaze to the "empty" chair*

[Serissa]

*Kat enters, waves to the proprietor and various businessmen, and then joins Ty and the group.*  "So, what are you up to that you don't want your dad to hear about now?  You didn't happen to find any secret passages in the crypt, did you?"

[Alatriel]

*As the tiny Halfling form backs up to the top steps, he can be see to be holding three largish rats by their tails, waving them for effect at someone at the bottom of the stairs.*
 

Samantha claps a hand over her mouth and there is a distinctive strangled squeal or whimper as she reflexively takes a step away from the commotion.

A glance at Sam.  "So, I'll let the bartender know to send anyone looking for me to the arena, let's go.  Hey, Emwonk, hey Kat."  He talks while he walks, keeping his voice down.  "So it's like this - Mel, if you're there, jump in whenever.  Mel got this harp and these skeleton bat things kept bugging her.  Then the undead got worse, more of 'em, following her - we figured out that her harp was cursed but not before we got attacked outside Vehl.  Fleur took the harp to get examined and some of us tracked the chi...woman we saw casting on us to a door in town, which lead to a dungeon full of undead.  We reported it to the temple but they didn't have anyone to spare to check it out, till now.  So we're checking.

"Once we get in, I'm scouting ahead - tired of charges and stupid behavior, so if you're feeling stupid and wanting to just run into traps and rotting corpses, fine, don't do it here.  But you guys I trust to go slow and smart so, uh, there you go."  Fumbles as he realizes he might have insulted them.  "Right, so, Mel?  If you're there, your turn."

[Nehetsrev]

*At mention of his name, Emwonk turns to see who's addressing him.  Recognition of the speaker dawns and he offers his standard greeting and falls in to listen as the group makes it's way to the exit.  His previous attitude of anger with the kitchen staff dissipated and seemingly forgotten.*
