RPG Cliches

Although most of you have probably already seen this, it's  The Grand List of Console RPG Clichés   Since it's console, most don't apply to Layo too well - but a few stand out:
  • #6 - an amazing number of characters (my own included) lost one or both parents as part of their backstory.  Sometimes that parent was killed, in fact, by the character.
  • #8 (Exception - the guys in the Wild Surge tavern)
  • #9 (Though I've yet to see all of them in Layo)
  • #12 (Although usually DMs censor those who are too rich and powerful - there can't be that many influential people on the planet, after all.)
  • #17 'nuff said.
  • #20 Staggeringly true, most of the time.  Sometimes people take the time to comment on it, and I do try to have my sword away whenever I'm in town.
  • #22 Brings to mind the first time I saw a goblin killed with a violin
  • #24 Where does the pawn shop owner unload his purchases?
  • #25 A necessity of the look/feel of the game, but seriously...
... and so on.  Actually, in consideration, a lot of them really do apply!  *laughs*  Have a look and see if you can't spot a few!
