Calendar Link Added to LORE?
« on: April 10, 2006, 12:02:51 pm »
I know that a lot of work is going on to merge the original forum site with LORE, so if this is in the works just ignore this. But would it be possible to add a link to the Calendar to the LORE page header, right next to "Forums" link? Sure, I can just click on the Layonara logo, then click on the Calendar link on that page, but...

There may be some interest in a link to the Albums and Tradeskill Stats as well. I use them so rarely I haven't really missed them, but in the interest of symmetry those might be nice as well.

Thanks

We will be removing these forums entiely at some point down the road, but it is quite a ways away. One of the things being worked on (eventually) is forums and calendars etc.

Oh, right, right. I didn't mean to ask that the calendar be moved to LORE (though that does have some interesting possibilities). There are better places in which to invest the LORE team's effort. All in good time.

What I meant was, "Since I spend a lot of time on LORE, and often want to jump straight from LORE to the calendar, and right now I have to first click from LORE back to the original (layonaraonline.com) web site, then click to the calendar (thus 2 steps), could a hyperlink be added to the top of every LORE page, in the style sheet header perhaps, such that, just as I can go from LORE to the forums by clicking on the existing forums link, I could go from LORE to the calendar, which would still be hosted on its current site using the existing implementation?"

Once I put it all down, two thoughts occur to me. First, this is a really petty nitpick. Second, why don't I just add a bookmark to the calendar on my browser's bookmark bar?

This inability to think is the downside of sleep deprivation.
