Author Topic: Switching the recipe a crafting station gives you to the server message window.  (Read 202 times)

I don't know if it's possible, but I was wondering if it would be possible to switch the messages you receive from a crafting station, to the server message window. This way you can close it up and not miss tells or even people that comes up to you and chat.

It happens to be one of the good time to rp a bit and still do something, but with all those text that appears it is hard to do both at the same time. you can always asked them to party up then exclude the normal talk, but if someone that is not in your party comes up and start talking you wont see what they say.

Anyhow, nothing big, nothing of a priority either, just a small suggestion.

Or ever better, well maybe. Give an option in the station it self, to turn off the text that you will see appear in your chat window.

The problem there is that NWN automatically puts the result of dialog into the chat window. It's not a choice we're making.  My only suggestion is to zoom out and watch the text that appears over people's heads and not the chat window.

Zooming out would work, but each time you use a station, you get a pan in that brings you back towards it. Any clue if this is something I can turn off somehow?

I don't have the game in front of me, but I believe there's a setting in NWN that lets you choose to not have the camera zoom for dialog.

On the main menu when you start the game (after the launcher but before logging in, etc), it's under Options > Controls.  It says Enable Dialog Zoom and is enabled by default, unfortunately.
