Well Mother gave me a Dairy it has a red cover gold metal things at the corner and where the book page are tied and it was made by her, uncle Dalan, uncle Kyle and auntie Ferrit.

I don't really know what to write, I usually like to think more and play and tease Sarah. But there is a few things that I don't like and maybe this is the use of the book.

I don't like spicy food. I don't like hot days. I don't like people teasing me because of my red hair. I don't like when I see poor people begging for money and people just passing by without helping them or helping someone being hit and doing nothing. I don't like the fact that daddy has a curse, or that Sarah has read his book. and I don't like to know that daddy is not using all his last name, so I will be using it. I don't like other kids making fun of my sister even if I do make fun of her. I mean its not her fault she has purple eyes and white hair and is a bit smaller than me, even if we were born almost at the same time.

Well there is so many other things I don't like but it would be to long. Uncle Kyle is coming soon for an other training with the sword, NOW THAT I DO LIKE.

Oh yes, there is this other man that has a daughter that lives across from our house. He looks strange sometime but he seems nice. My father calls him Q.  Don't know why but I see him go out at night often in his armor. It very nice, blue silver and gold.  Father said the the man is a very important man and he does very dangerous thing. He also told me some stories of what the man did. I think that's what I want to do to, it's difficult but it seems fun.

Anyhow Sonya, the mans daughter is playing out side. I think I am going to go play with her until Uncle Kyle comes.

Introduce Yourself / An Old Man Playing In a Young Persons Game
« on: March 13, 2007, 11:41:20 am »
Well to start off I am Brandon, but most call me BB.  I will let you guess why.  I am 30 now but my line of work makes me feel much older.  I am a union plumber.  My best friend (Tom) told me of this sight a little over 2 years ago.  He keeped on my till I got on it and I have not looked back since.

I have learned so much from Layo, more then I can hope to ever get back.  I played a lot of sports for my old high school.  You can say I was pushed throw the system.  When I was tested for collage I had a 5th grade reading level, and my spelling and gramer was worse.  My wife has seen the improvments in everything I do.  So dont mine the spelling and gramer please if we are out adventuring together, I am trying hard.

You can say I grew up fast.  My first daughter was born when I almost 17.  Married at 17.  Passed high school.  Went to collage, worked full time and was a full time father.  Now I have three daughters, was divoriced, and married a wonderfull lady that loves my childern as much as I do.

This is my life.  My life is for my wife and my childern.

Introduce Yourself / Who's your granny?
« on: March 13, 2007, 09:12:40 am »
Hello, I'm Martha--Granny, bonsai artist, Layo addict.

I think I would be the oldest person playing on Layonara (at 63), except that my husband is even older than I am.  I have two grandchildren whom I also introduced to Layo.  They even play in game with me sometimes.  The third one is still learning her alphabet, but give her a few years and she'll be here.

I have about a hundred bonsai trees in various stages of neglect from playing here too much.  My game name, Serissa, is the name of a small tropical tree with tiny white flowers that is often used for bonsai.  It stinks when you cut it and drops dead if you look at it cross-eyed.  Seems appropriate!

I started reading science fiction in about sixth grade (when I discovered my dad's stash), and discovered fantasy somewhat later when I gulped down LOTR in one looong weekend.  I've been hooked ever since.

I discovered role-playing games when my son was in junior high, becoming DM for him and his friends.  That was when D&D was being touted as dangerous to our youth--a few idiots got hurt acting it out in real life.  He grew up and went on to other things.  (I don't know where I failed him.)  I stayed hooked, playing nearly every computer RP game that came along.  I moved to on-line worlds about five years ago and discovered Layo a couple of years ago.  Haven't gone anywhere else since.

I grew up mostly in Texas, but have also lived in Tennessee, Missouri, Indiana and New Jersey.  I've been living in West Virginia for nearly forty years, and it's the best.  There are woods right outside my back door, but it's only a ten minute walk to the store if I'm really in a hurry.  There are great places for hiking and camping all over the place, and the scenery is wonderful.  I've been to most of our western states and Hawaii, and to Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, England, and even Tahiti, but this is the place I love most (except for Layo, of course).

I love to cook.  I even bake our bread and make my own soup stocks.  The best part is that my husband usually cleans up after me.  I love being retired--the only alarm clock I set is to get up in time for a Layo quest.  Considering all the dumb things I've done, I'm proud to have made it to age 63, and love being the age I am.

I hope to meet you in game and have lots of fun!

Serissa
