It has been 7 or 8 years since I have been on Layo. I RPed a dwarf named Thrain Ironwind and managed to get to lvl 18. I was randomly browing the interenet and found this site again.first I would like to say thanks to all. This was a great place to live and game. I never could make many DM quests so I frankley did a lot of harvesting work. However IG when I met nebies in Hlint I hand a blast. I got to 9 DTs and was too sad to go on in the game. I migh have even got my 10th on Varkas CDQ long ago. been toom long to remember. I would like to log bck in as Thrain but I do not know my old NWN infio o c codes etc.At any rate this was a great world ad thanks to all who made it that way.thanks to all Carl

While on a trip through my parents attic I found a bunch of my old D&D things. So far reading old issues of "The Dragon" has been very funny. Heres a picture of the oldest one I have from March 1977.

I am trying to figure out if the dwarven dodge modifier Vs. Giants stacks with the ascenders march boots (also vs giants). Not sure really sometimes it seems it does and sometimes not. Any help would be welcome.

On the bright side my girlfriend thinks im not playing layo because I choose not too. This wins me points. I can spend these points later when there is some quest I want to be on for 5 hours. :> ........perhaps in not LG any more.

Oi be in possession of some Iron weaponsand armor. Namely one each of the following- long sword, greataxe and heavy mace as well as a lesser mages robes and some other odds and ends like scrolls. If ye see me around lets me know if yer interested. Also a suite of iron chain mail.

Ive tried searching the forums and while I found great tables on weapon enchantments I
cannot seem to find anything similar for the resistance enchantments.
What Im asking is;
1. how much does a lvl I and/or lvl II (are there more?) res enchantment resist?
2. How much of a level requirement do these add to an item?
If I understand it, these can be put on any item that can be equipped, but do not stack with other resistances. For instance my character from a cold place took the resist cold energy feat because it seems he should have that. Am I correct that adding more cold resistance will not stack with this?

Oi would like to buy some of those magic liquids that heal me wounds. (// cure critical self and cure medium self//) and am interested in dicussing price with a seller. There was a fine lady named Ayla that used to make them for me when I brought her skeltons hands. But Oi cant find her and some say I never will again. I can be found around Hlint at times or ye can send those darn birds that lands in me beard!

A few weeks ago I was out with a group of people who seemed to be able to run around and type incredibly fast. As if they had some sort of microphone on that let them talk the words for the PC instead of type. The conversations flowed well together without jumping all over the place so to speak. On my screen it seemed that as soon as someone said one thing another answered within a second or two and made sense. Seemed no way they could have read what the person said and typed a response in the time space.
I was wondering if there is anyway to set up my NWN game so that the curser always returns to the typing space on screen instead of me having to click in there. Also is there some secret to fast coherent dialogue in the game? Yes I have a cable modem, though I am in Alaska. Mabey Im more lagged then I think but it does not seem that way.
