I have rented rooms out to several people over the years, and have checked my house to find many chests of...stuff...not my stuff. If you are currently using 227 Haft Lake as a repository or a home, or if you have a key, please let me know in this thread or by PM. I'm in the mood to redecorate. Don't worry, if you REALLY need the space, I'll work with you. Current keys that I know about: Caighd Brendimeere (Honora's husband, approved resident) Zupzupandzway (no idea if he still plays) - edit, will be removing his furniture Galen Tweed (RL husband, approved resident) Sophia - Approved to use as waypoint/storage if she wishes Anyone else got a key or stuff in there? Fess up!

After the Sacred Fist discussion, it became apparent that this is not the first time by a long shot that a class has been denied to a specific deity. While I am not a fan of that, in the spirit of someone else not being stuck with a character they can't progress as they had wished, I suggest a simple "Deity/Class" chart along the same lines of the deity relations chart.
Use the Deity Relation template and replace the deities on the X axis with the classes, denoting which can have what. This chart could then be posted ahead of the classes section of LORE and would prevent any further unhappiness by spelling out the restrictions.
For example: Az'atta: No classes with more than X% "fighting" feats (fighter, barbarian, battlerager, duelist, assassin, dwarven defender, spellsword, arcane archer, weapon master, monk, sacred fist)
Vorax: No classes with more than X% "casting" feats with bard, cleric and sacred fist the exceptions (sorcerer, driud, wizard, spellsword).
Etc.
Layonara is a mature game, with a population who have been with it for years. With alts being important to keeping things fresh, this won't be the last time there will be a class/deity conflict.
I am happy to make up the chart if requested.

So I'm finally in Port Hempstead and I'm still mad as spit over that boat incident. Since when did a troller become a passenger ship? Liars! Well, I figured out how to fix their little red wagon anyway. Snip snip!
I have not had time to write Mama and I have not found Auntie Kate yet. I did find this guy - well, he found me - named Ben Poeter and he was very nice. He is Daniel's brother, that guy Mama talks about. He seemed like a gentleman in a rough kind of way. If that makes sense. He gave me some really good pie and some healing potions. I need things so I'll go by and visit his shop, he said it was the Angel's Guild. I need better clothes and some supplies, I'm about out. He said Kyle Pandorn owned it or ran it, and I have not seen Uncle Kyle in years. Bet he won't recognize me!
I've tried praying in several locations to see which feels the best. The fountain is nice, but artificial. The docks are okay but I still get upset seeing all those fishing boats. There is one little rock pool I've found peaceful - no signs of Shipwreck's worshippers, although their tributes litter the rest of the beach. I have found no other worshippers of Shindelaria yet, but I haven't swam too far out either. Strong undertow out there. I was able to heal a seal that had shark bites that was near the rock pool, but it took a while to convince it that I was friendly. I have not used Shindy's blessings on any people here yet.
There is an inn I can afford but it's in a dumpy part of town. I get weird looks here and I don't like it. I have been practicing my katas and keeping limber in case I need to run. I have a new kata that is a prayer movement I do in while swimming. It's only about 2 minutes long, but I can't hold my breath much longer yet. Still working on that, drat the lungs. It's a full extension, Shindelaria is my core, curl and flip, the current that moves me, flip back the other way, the current that brings me home, a punch and an x block right arm, a punch and an x block left arm, Shindelaria is my armor as the ocean is my blood, saddle step right, saddle step left, back step right and a push block, back step left and a push block, forward flip and turn, Mother Ocean watch over me and never let me drift too far, and surface.
Okay, it needs work, but doing katas underwater is amazing and really hard. I will develop more, it seems like I'm praying with my body. I used to pray while swimming or sometimes do punches and blocks on a log or something in the water but this is different. I like it.
There's a quarter of the day left before sunset. I'm going to find someone to talk to, see what else Port Hempstead has to offer. Help some people hopefully. And buy some stuff!

Hello Layo  I live! I have peeped on the forums and seen so many faces I recognize...I took a long break to cement a great job at a company I love and my husband and I bought a house so our son finally has a backyard. Now that things have settled down? Perhaps we'll see a bit of me around here. I shall be writing again as well. Have missed you all!

Got two of three for the Vial, now I'm in the ruins to Rofierin and I'm just...stuck.
Fought our way down to the level with the nigh-impossible golum and could not defeat him (my adamantium sword is "weapon ineffective"...) so I found another way to remove him from the situation but now, I'm faced with two doors, neither of which respond to my sword, neither of which my (useless) dwarf can pick.
Now what?
I want to like this, I really do, but the frustration level has become almost intolerable at this point. While the AIDS system absolutely rocked, I have to find fault in the complete lack of places to rest, and the difficulty of the fights. Reloading ten or more times on "moderate" or "challenging" mobs is just not fun. I want to finish it but I just don't seem to have anywhere to go since none of the doors will open and my dwarf can't pick any of the locks. I think this module should have been set up as multi-player or the difficulty of the fighting toned down a hair.
Suggestions on what I MUST have missed? I will take full-out cheats. I don't care about surprises anymore. I just want to get it done.

Drunk's darts - found two, have scoured every friggin' area in detect mode and can't find the third. Driving me nuts!
Also, as I'm playing a pally, I didn't lie to the gent in the rowdy pub in North Point. Does that lock the "bounty" quest for the thieves? I'd like to complete it but I can't find another way to start it.

I am seeking a ring to increase wisdom more than the one I have. If anyone has a used ring, perhaps dented, or with an oddly cut diamond that they don't like, I would appreciate a note. I am not wealthy and cannot afford the prices of the larger trading houses.

*Corba Tweed, speaking to some of the various folks assisting in raising Stone during her stay there, mentions a Lady Emberblade, a dragon with reddish scales living on Mistone. Corba declines to mention where, however, and does not divulge that information if asked directly.
She speaks almost fondly of the dragon, always using her title, and notes that the dragon was fierce and monstrously large yet also fair, helpful and delighted by a well-told story. She also mentions the dragon's followers once, but does not elaborate.*
