I would like to throw my hat into the ring to become a member of the team.
I have been playing and DMing role playing games and computer games for over 25 years. I have played most of the major games out there: D&D, AD&D, Warhammer, Mech Warrior, Champions, Wizardy series, Might and Magic series, NWN, just to name a few.
My experinces with these games give me a feel for what makes a good game or some thing you just wasted your time and money on.

As read through this thread I a problem with your Rping logic. That is... Your game person has "NO" repeat "NO" idea of whom is on the tradeskills list for making poison or anything else for that matter. There is not a sign-up sheet by the poison table where you sign in to use the table. So, unless your charactor has stood around the poison table waiting for someone to use it...He/She/It has no idea of whom is making poison... My charactor knows but he will not tell. And another thing.. shaddy people in this world, yea, right, like who isn't shaddy looking, with elves, drow, goblins, half gaints, hald orcs, half orgers, dwarfs, humans, halfling, and a few more. You tell me who is who? Most people where helmets or hoods all the time, I do. Using poison is sneaky... I have used poison. It's a little hard for me to sneak into anything, you know (-15 move silently) full plate, heater shield, and long sword, yelling at the top of my voice as I charge a group of monsters... Yea real sneaky.  And lastly.. if your idea was to come into effect then the poison making skill list will have to be removed from the tradeskill forum and the poison table would have to be moved to an undisclosed location know only to the people who can make poison... So that way you would really have to RP to figure out who is making poison and not cheat by just looking at the list. Just my two coppers worth... Have a nice day Asher

Ok people, lets calm down and take a deep breath.... Right now there are really only 2 hard cord alchemists in the world Triba and Perago. I do some but mostly the low end stuff, Ess of cure for heal kits. Potions are for those time when you are out of spells and you can not rest or that quick invisiblity potion to get your butt out of that place you done want it to be. As a fighter type I use potions all the time, mostly cure types and bark skin. Yes, Alchemy is a real time consuming skill. You have to run all over the place to get the stuff you need to make poitions and stuff and yes, one of the three items is hard to get. You will find Alchemy is easier for magic users and bards (invisibilty) and thievies (hide and sneek). I as a fighter have to either fight my way in (not always a good idea) are use potions of invisibilty. As for not being able to sell potions for a profit, I DO NOT want to here you cry about that. I am a 22 lvl tailor, You do not want to know how many items I have made at a lose... Have you very checked the price the pawn people pay for leather armour. I costs you what 3-7 gp to make a potion, and thats only if you buy the bottle and flask, if you make the bottle and flask you cost is ZIP... All and all I find Alchemy very use full, it keeps me alive. Have a nice Day Asher

Well.. you were close to fixing it.
I can now make the leather armour, and I did, BUT..... it did not give me the armour.
The left screen said that I made the armour and it gave me exp for making it. the right side never said that I accured it and it did not show up in my inventory.
A request: Since I made the ancient dire bear leather armour, could a DM give me a set to replace the set I made and did not get.

Last night I tried to make Anc dire bear leather armour. I was at Port Hampshire Public craft hall. I cured and tanned the skins alright. But... when I put the thread, pattern and the three anc dire bear leather on the dummy... It said that "I did not have any of the anc dire bear leather (0 for 3)", it saw the thread and pattern. I checked the spell and it matched. I have not tried the other craft halls yet to see if I can make it there.

There is an issue with advancement in the Alchemy field.
As you can see by looking at the tradeskill table for alchemy that the highest level is 18th. Many of you say "So, what's the problem, no one has made enough stuff to make it to 19th"
Well there is a reason for that.... That reason is... when you reach 17th or 18th you are limited in the number of item you can make for exp.
If I am not making myself clear let me give you the situation:
I am a fighter with an 12 Int and 10 Wis. I have made 18th lvl in alchemy. I have at present five item I can make at 90%, Three at 70%, two at 50%, and one at 10%.
If I was a wizard or cleric with and 18 Int or Wis that would drop down the item I could make to three or four. (plus 20-25%).
I see only two way to fix the advancement ladder:
1. Rearange the the items to spread them out a bit more.
2. Add more items at the 14 - 18 th lvl of ability.

Or.. any other crafting resource that you have and want to get rid of come see me before you get rid of it. You never know what I can use.

I made a comment a while ago about fishing being a not to useful skill, because food was easy to get... So... now we need to come up with some ideas of what to do with fish parts (besides food). Idea: Oil of Silence - Plus to move silent when put on cloth and leather armour (not metal armour) 1. Turn fish in to Fish oil 2. Mix fish oil with dust of topaz Plus and Lenght will depend on type of fish used. And... the down side...it will attract every bear in view (hey, you smell like a fish).
