If dis says whuts I was tolds, den jue listens here. Maybes if jues tells everyones first before jues changes into one of the enemies, we wouldn't jumps and be ready to fights. Maybes if jues didn't goes in da holes, den comes out and tells everyone how you are going to murderous all if you don't get your way...Maybe if jues learns dat NO ONE makes jue leaders, we all dere to helps, and jues not on some special platform...maybes if jues had morals and didn'ts sleeps wid Miths, and den runs to Malors, den to Ozymandus to get riches, powers...we wouldn't thinks dems things of jue.

As it stands, jues bossy and not listens to us. Whey we listens to jue? Jue tells us jue murders us and expect us to smiles and begs for helps? Only oafs Bakees sees is dats big inflated heads on jue shoulders. Try being nices if you want nices. Keeps wid da insults and threats of murders us, and jues gets what is comings.

and talan you know a druid rather well who would whoop any bear warrior behind using her babybear form
so its not that they are better melee

not true at all. while Shifters and druid shift into an animal/creature and assume it's stats, the bear form's stats are ADDED to the bear warrior's. my weapon is adde to the attack as well, not to mention all my item stats are retaine din the form. and all of this IMPROVES with bear warrior levels. in 6 levels i'll have a dire bear form adding a godly amount of str and con to my stats, not to mention the ac and the saves it gives too.

there's mroe i'm sure i'm forgetting but i don't want to make bear warriros sound godly and ahve them become the new flavor of the week. Just trust me, they aren't week, and are imo the best frontliners. now we can't heal or anything, so obviously we're group dependant, but with a group, i don't see much being better at melee with ab ear warrior, unless you got several levels mroe than it.Being level 11 myslef, i'm sure any epic level druid can kick my arse, but a druid my level i don't think can out frontline me, i mean Barbarians are made for being meat shield afterall...

The shifter gets a ton of neat things like this too. Keep in mind the game mechanics and what the NWN machine can do. Go read up on shifters. The epic shifter in a gargoyle form gets like 35/+6 DR. Then if you gain the dragon or construct forms it is nasty. In the Shifter forms you retain armor, weapons (unarmed feats if you are unarmed), and you gain bonuses that stack to your stats along with the base of the forms.

Gotcha, I meant that. The druidic language is kind of rped like the drow sign and tha is what I meant. Thanks Dorg.

I just applied for a new character who is a subrace, Svirfneblin. So, I was just wondering after it gets approved how do I create it. I know before you picked from the 7 main characters and you just clicked the button but how do you make a character with a subrace in it ?

Most importantly make sure you pick gnome, then click on the subrace box and type in Svirfneblin. This is an important part that is not obviously written anywhere. I found that out when making a half giant. I thought half-human & half-giant, so I made her as a human and then put Halfgiant in the subrace. Wrong. You have to make halfgiants as half-orcs and then put halfgiant in the subrace.

Anyway, just heads up.

Entry 5:
I gained a higher understanding of my abilities and the possible limits set upon me right now. I was battling ogres in the Haven mines when one cornered me. My group was no where near me, locked in a deathly battle with an ogre magi. I tried to use the shadows to hide and maneuver behind the ogre. I actually felt the ability to will the darkness to me, but I had no real control over it. The ogre sensed me and turned a torch towards the darkness, stealing it along with the shadows. I was left vulnerable and alone. I felt helpless for a brief moment, a moment that seemed like a life time as the ogre descended upon me. I quickly came to my senses as the ogre drew back his club with murderous intent. I feigned left as if to run by the ogre, then pulled up short and drove my rapier into his gut three times before the stupid creature realized I had not run by him. I stepped back as the ogre swung wildly at me with a back handed swat of pure desperation, but I was to close to the wall where he had cornered me. I rolled my ankle as I slammed up against the wall. Quickly pushing myself free of the wall I lost my balance as I tried to place weight on the ankle. I looked up just in time to see the ogres club come crashing down on my temple…

I learned from my mistake, but more importantly I learned there are more to the shadows than even I first believed. I need them, and I need to learn to control them. I am determined to tap into that same connection with the shadows I felt and had in that moment before the ogre used the torch to steal them from me. Never again.

I met the most annoying male I have ever come across. His name was Shiff. He thought himself amusing, while I admit he made me laugh, he has about the same chance as orc of bedding me. I also spent some time with a strange druid by the name of Malkor. He showed absolutely no sexual interest in me and treated me with respect. I bet it is a trick and I will keep my eye on him. I meet a magic user by the name of Tegan, who I like. She helped me gather my belongings from the bottom of Haven Mines, which I would not have lost in the first place if not for Shiff watching my backside, rather than fighting the ogres.

All of these things are trivial to what happened today. I have been plagued by my obsession of the shadows to the point I think I’m actually going crazy. It is as if my shadow is watching me. I mean I know your shadow follows you, but this is different. Sometimes my shadow stops and goes the other way! I know it sounds crazy, but today someone else saw it! His name was Taff, and he realized something was amiss. Now if only I can prove Taff really exists. Crazy isn’t?

I spent the day venturing out of Hlint in search of work. I ran into the interesting Drow by the name of Daralith Del’Mar, who was peddling some small wares outside of the city. I happened to over hear him speak about some temple he is going to destroy given the chance. We struck up conversation and small talk. Of all the Drow I have ever met, Daralith does the most justice to the vile rumors of his race. Daralith and I go back a ways and I rather like the male. I use to gather small things and spy on others for coin for him, but it has been some time.

Lately I have found little interest in day to day affairs. I find myself drawn to the shadows for the most part. I think I will meet up with Daralith tomorrow and seek his advice on the changes I am undergoing. Perhaps he can enlighten me on my recent  path of shadows.

Scythes are 2d4/x4. That's a max of 16 on a crit in the hands of someone with no STR bonus. It counts as a slashing weapon for the purposes of Keen. In the hands of a WM, that goes to 19-20/x5, and 17-20/x5 with keen edge.

Scimitars and rapiers have 18-20/x2, but the rapier is piercing rather than slashing.

The bastard sword/katana has 19-20/x2 with 1d10 damage, and it's slashing.

3.5 rapiers have 17-20 crit range, and are therefore better (correct me if I'm misremembering).

No Rapiers are still 18-20 in 3.5.

I find it hard to put my thoughts down on paper, but Daralith keeps ensuring me of the importance of keeping some sort of journal so I can look back upon it and learn from my mistakes. I try to tell him I do not make mistakes. I do exactly what I want to do. I try not to focus too much of my time thinking about why I people do things. To me it is not important why someone lied, only that they lied to me.

I still travel with Lillian and I am close to mastering the art of war with my sword. I do not think Lillian can teach me everything, so I have sought guidance and training from others. Yesterday I traveled with Annie, who was a competent master of her blade. I can see the advantages of simply spending more time with one weapon. I no longer use any other weapon and will continue to focus on my sword.

It was not so long ago that I helped slaughter a necromancer, simply because we could. It seemed the necromancer had double crossed some folks in Dalanthar and they wanted our help. I had no interest in helping the weak town folk, in fact I would much rather have preferred to burn the town down and slaughter them like sheep. However Daralith seemed over interested in the magic of the necromancer so I followed him along.

I really hated that Rhynn and would have lopped her head off if not for Daralith. In the end Daralith and the others used some dark magic and killed the necromancer. It was boring and I found little enjoyment in hacking up dead things, mainly because they do not cry and beg for mercy. I can’t remember all the important magic stuff, but I do know the necromancer is dead and Daralith was happy.

Since my summoning I have worked the streets of Hlint gathering information, using the shadows as my ally. My blades have been for hire, but work has been slow. I have always thought it silly to keep a journal, because it could be used against you if ever found. I have always been one to “erase” any evidence of my presence, rather than commit to paper my affairs. However, I am undergoing changes I can not explain. I am hoping that by writing them down I can later review them and perhaps understand what is going on.

My life has always been surrounded by theft, trickery, and most importantly the shadows. Each has been a lesson or tool I use to my advantage. Lately the shadows have become more than a tool to me. It is as if the shadows are becoming an extension of my will.. I can not place the feeling, nor begin to describe it. It is as if I am becoming one with the shadows. I find myself mesmerized by the shadows given off by the simple flicker of a flame. I find myself lying within the shadows, sleeping within them, and almost lost without them. There are times when I think the shadows are more than they seem, perhaps even alive…

Tegan no longer travels with me, but for what reason I do not know. I can not spend time dwelling on why. I must focus my energy into combat training and preparing for war. I still travel with Lillian, who still amazes me with the skill of her blade. She has been tutoring me lately on how to hold my weapon in various stances. I am close to mastering the whirlwind attack she performs. I can see why she is so powerful in combat. The only weakness I see in her is that she has become dependent upon the Scimitar. If she had to pick up a dagger, she would be lost.

Daralith has grown even colder over the last few weeks. I do not know what drives that little Drow, but he has great dedication in his faith and such hate for elves. I am however fond of him and would be lost without his wisdom at times. I will still keep an eye on him, but he earns my trust more and more.
