On the issue of tanks just walking through traps, would it be possible to put in traps with more secondary effects so that it is a little more inconvenient to just walk through it?  For instance, negative energy traps that drain a level or two.  Sure, you can walk through it, but it will also mean a potion of restoration.  Or maybe poison/disease traps would work too.

On the issue of mages having spells with similar effects, I'll say this.  I played a wizard through many trapped & locked areas meant for rogues on another server by using find traps, knock, and my familiar to "tank" traps for me.  It was totally cheap.  I was actually a happy when I can to a dungeon that had been specifically designed for rogues.  By this, I mean:
   1)  Knock spells only worked on about 40% of the locks there
   2)  The strongest traps reset themselves, so that only a successful disarm trap roll allowed you to remove it and pass through unscathed.  ("Fluffkins, thank you for your sacrifice..." *strolls through*zap*dead*)


Just some things to think about.

Alignment:
Neutral Good characters believe in the power of good above all else. They will work to make the world a better place, and will do whatever is necessary to bring that about, whether it goes for or against whatever is considered 'normal'.

Race:
Gnomes are also short, like dwarves, but much skinnier. They have no beards, and are very inclined towards technology, although they have been known to dabble in magic, too. They tend to be fun-loving and fond of jokes and humor. Some gnomes live underground, and some live in cities and villages. They are very tolerant of other races, and are generally well-liked, though occasionally considered frivolous.

Primary Class:
Bards are the entertainers. They sing, dance, and play instruments to make other people happy, and, frequently, make money. They also tend to dabble in magic a bit.

Secondary Class:
Rangers are the defenders of nature and the elements. They are in tune with the Earth, and work to keep it safe and healthy.

Deity:
Oghma is the Neutral Good god of knowledge and invention. He is also known as the Binder of What is Known, and is the Patron of Bards. His followers believe that knowledge reigns supreme, and is the basis for everything else that is done. They wear white shirts and pants, with a black and gold braided vest, and a small, box-like hat. All priests of Oghma are known as Loremasters. Oghma's symbol is a scroll.

General Discussion / some portraits I made on the vault...

Hi everyone. Just recently, I was searching the vault for some ethnically diverse portraits to use for an idea I had for character, and I was really disappointed with the lack of selection. Being artistically inclined and a proponent of equal representation, I decided to take matters into my own hands and made my first NWN portrait... then another, and another, and so on.

  I'd appreciate it if you could take a minute or two to writeme a little blurb about anything you like about the portraitsor anything you think could be improved and vote. Since I usually play females, most of these portraits are for women. I made these by taking an existing photo of a model and reworking/repainting the entire surface in photoshop.

   And just as a note, I haven't played much on layo yet... I signed up about a month ago and then... uh... I got addicted to making new portraits, so that took up a bunch of my free time! ^^;
