My last character submition was a year ago so it didn't have the stuff and what you suggested was the first thing I thought of.

I must warn you all that I am not the fastest typist in the world, nor am I a champion speller, but I hope that you will forgive me and that we will have some memorable times together.

Don't worry I'm a slow typer and bad speller and I do ok.

Well maybe you could have the feat and the number of uses increases every 5th level or something along those lines.

General Discussion / Re: LFG for Ryjaz Paladin of Toran 5th level
« on: February 26, 2012, 11:26:01 pm »
Well I'm in eastern time US and generally 4pm to 9pm except on Tuesdays, because of my pathfinder game and Wednesdays I have CYM at 7pm. For NPC quests I really have only done the ones in center and all the letter and package quests. And the scarecrow quest. And the quest with the griffon that ate the cow.

You should see me when I get rolling on something. I can go on forever if I know the topic well.

General Discussion / Re: Lower levels traveling with higher... do it!
« on: February 26, 2012, 10:54:20 pm »
My in experiences on traveling with higher levels I have always gotten little to no exp but tons of gold.

10
I never quite expected to fly through the levels I just want to not feel like I have to.

Ok from now on I'm going to hit the edit button and add the reason because I can to all my posts because I can.

Where would I put that on the forms?

This isn't about that quest. I'm talking about going out and adventuring with other people none Dm stuff. The DM quest adventuring I don't have a problem with. That level 21+ adventure I went on was fun I don't care about the fact that I got killed I had fun rping dealing with the crowd and such, though the meeting at the beginning was quite boring because I really didn't have much to add. But then all the stuff we did really didn't do much die rolling. Someone told me they got 30000 exp from that and I was wondering why I only got 4500 I know I couldn't be given 30000 exp becuase of level difference but then why would the exp gain be 100% proportional to how much you need to gain a level? I'm a lower level so wouldn't I learn more from doing harder stuff then the higher level people would?

The problem I have found with finding a group is level difference changes the exp so I'll get like 20 and everyone else will get like 10 times that amount even if they weren't getting kills.

The best Rping I've had was in an adventure with a couple other characters but I felt like I was a third leg to the group because I really couldn't do anything useful and got killed easy.

I really have generally only found who were higher levels then me by more then a few. That is really the big thing. It wouldn't be bad to go adventure with a bunch of people the same level because then you can contribute to the party when they are in a fight or the like instead of having them have to worry about you getting killed.

I don't like focusing on the levels but when everyone is a higher level then you it makes a noticeable difference in how people treat your character. My Ranger character I was found a group to hang with but when it came to doing anything they kind of babied me whether it was done purposely or not it was still done.

I would just like to say again the DM stuff is cool, no problem there, it is the none DM stuff.

I change my posts a lot before I fianally get down what I actually want to say. Just throwing that out there. Ok now I think I'm happy with it. Think is the important word there. I swear I'm going to add like another dozen things before I'm done. Over extensive use of the edit button.

Ok Back to lay on hands. I think another good way to improve it without making it overpowered is make the number of times you can use it your cha mod but, this is the important part, you cannot increase the number of uses with spells or magical equipment that increase you cha mod. Also you could add a feat that grants another lay on hands usage.

See the paladin warhorse seems to be an addition to the Layonara paladin, compared to the regular game which doesn't get a war horse.

Summon Mount is the warhorse. You get it at 5th level according to the link you have on the regular game.

You get the paladin mount at level 14!?! Why such a high level? If you get it at level 14 that warhorse better be a really powerful companion because that is a bit ridiculously high accounting for the extremely slow leveling in Layo which is another thing that I don't quite understand because the game world is very low level unfriendly.

If you increased lay of hands to one use/2 lvls...it would become quite powerful.  This I say not only for healing, but also against killing undead.  I think it deals out damage equal to your cha mod x level.  Might be out of balance to increase its usage.

That could be balance by making the healing 1d6 every two levels and instead of using the cha mod for the healing it would be added to the number of times you can use it.

Ask A Gamemaster / Re: Questions About Paladin: Sense Evil
« on: February 25, 2012, 10:16:59 am »
The paladin has the smite evil ability but I've found without the detect evil I don't know if I can use it on an enemy. Could it be added as a spell-like ability and on your screen only enemies with an evil alignment would glow red for a moment or something along those lines.

Ask A Gamemaster / Re: Why is CN one of the easiest alignments to rp
« on: December 08, 2011, 05:26:50 pm »
The way I rp Akhadie works with CG. I just CN fits him better. I also haven't done any DM quests with him so.

I have been playing Akhadie and I have been rping him in the way that just comes naturally to the character and Chaotic neutral seems to fit him. Akhadie is always doing his own thing even in a party he does things his way. The problem I'm having is when ever I go and try to do anything by myself I get killed which is another maelstrom I'm not getting into here. Akhadie is independent but realistic as he recognizes the need for other people. That is a responsible CN character. Another problem I'm having is I try to do things and all I'm ever getting is everyone screaming you can't do this you have to wait and I just want to play can't there be a system for CN rule where a player rps with a DM or something like that.

Also here is where it says it is hard:

Chaotic neutral is a difficult alignment to play and I want to make sure it is role played correctly.

it is right there next to the rule in the lore.

That's what I used to do with feh too.. but then every one around him were shining beacons of searing the eyes to a crisp lights. So after a while I just gave up lol

Darkvision and low-light vision work by increasing the distance someone can see in a dark environment. Low-light vision doubles the distance a character can see in low-light conditions (example a human carrying a torch can see 20ft in every direction clearly and would need to make a spot check for anything beyond that, an elf carrying a torch can see 40ft in every direction clearly.) Darkvision allows a character to see up to 60ft in low-light and total darkness and is unaffected by light sources. So if the game can be moded to do this having a light source wouldn't negate these abilities.

NWN Ideas, Suggestions, Requests / Re: Combinding some skills

Besides the fact that these skills are pretty deeply entrenched in creature build and balance considerations and things like that, their individual function is also hard coded into the game engine for a variety of things, and that's beyond our ability to adjust.

I was thinking more of a mod that make it when you put points into spot, listen, and search it counts for all three. So not making new skills just modifying it so the skill point in one skill count for all three. And for characters that have points these skills could get the point in the other skills back.

I really should have put this in the other post.
