Ask A Gamemaster / Characer Milti-Class changes

In reguards to a character of mine. I had a few questions. So I will lay out what I have and would like to know my options beyond level 20.

Character - Dot Stoven

Class(es)when she hits 20 - Rogue 7 Fighter 13 (her Rogue levels were taken early on and the remaining levels up to 20 will be Fighter)

I never applied for her to be a WM at creation, I did not expect her to gravitate towards one weapon (Bastard Sword) like she has. It's darn near her exclusive weapon (on occasion she uses war hammer for undead).


Is there a chance she can become WM at 21?
If so what will that require on my end?
She does not have a Char Dev thread.

Alternatively can she dabble back into Rogue levels at 21 and beyond? OR  must she continue taking Fighter levels?

First you see a Mace, its head glows with a flashy white light. Sitting on the glass case is a piece of parchment with the following. Fist of the Legion Mace. Opening bid 15,000 True.

The next item you see is a blue cloak. It seems to be exceptionally well crafted. The parchment by it reads. Exceptional Cape of the North. Opening bid 25,000 True *reserve priced item*

Next in the case you see a green reflective suit of padded armor. The parchment next to it reads... Mirrored Armor, Opening bid 25,000 True *reserve price item*

Finally you notice a bow in the case. It appears to be made of Mahogany. The parchment next to it reads. Mahogany Compound Bow of Constructs. Opening bid 20,000 True

Also on the displace case is the following parchement.

Auction rules:

- All bids will be made public on this thread and in at least 1000 True Increments.

- All auctions stay open for approximately 1 week (Real Time). After 1 weeks time any bid extends that auction by 24 (RL) hours. After 24 (RL) hours have passed with no further bids. That auction is now closed.

Rumour Has It / Seeking blade master(s) for training

I Myrddyn Reynolt am seeking to further advance my skills with the rapier or foil. To this end I wish to train directly with others highly skilled with this blade. Ideally I seek some one on one training in Vehls arena and some real world training as well across the lands of Mistone and beyond.

General Discussion / Cant find new posts today

When I click on the "Get New Posts" on the forums page today I only get the following message

Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.


Now I browse thru the sections of the forums and I can clearly see new posts from the last time I checked. So what's going on here?

The problem may be that I upgraded yahoo internet explorer today.... if so how do I fix this? If not is this a forum bug?

What are they worth to any of ya? The whole lot is goin in the trash if no one gives me some true coin for em!

NWN Ideas, Suggestions, Requests / Adding custom title to ammo

Id like to be able to add a title to my element enchanted ammo.
Right now if I have plain arrows and enchanted with say 1d4 electric... they are still known as arrow. It would be nice if enchanting them put the element name on them auto matically or ... if we could rename them ourselves with the quill and ink.

Fixed Bugs / Fixing "Exploit bow" Not removing Lighting effect

Bug Report

Description: After having all of my characters bows brought into compliance with what has now been deemed an exploit. I noticed each bow has a lighting effect left behind from the element enchantment it had before.
Example. Oak Longbow with a 1d6 Fire added... it also adds 10M red light. Once the element damaged was removed by a GM today the red light effect remains.

Location: West server - Thought I would think the same would apply to a bow being "fixed" on the other server(s)

Verified: GM-Redeemer (TheBlueGnome or some such name) Removed all the element damage from my bows. He saw that the light effect remained on every bow.

Reproducable: Yes. Each bow that had its element damage removed kept the light effect from whatever element it was enchanted with.


Is this a world stopping bug? No.... but the light effect is really pointless now.

General Discussion / New PC having graphics issues w/ Layo

Well my PC ive played on forever died last year. I got a new PC w/ Windows 7 but its onboard graphics were no good... so I used my nvidia graphics card from my old PC.

Today I installed all the NWN and Layo stuff. Once I got in game I noticed my characters looked all silver (like the silver surfer) ... **See attached pic* Now if it were just my characters I could maybe just deal with it... but other caracters with newer clothing choices also look like liquid silver in those areas.

I managed to catch Dorg in game and he reccomended reinstalling all the haks...which I did... then I was advised later to get latest drivers for my graphics card.... which I did.

Sadly I am still having this issue. Any ideas?

General Discussion / New PC what NWN files do I need from my old PC

Hey I finally gave up on sticking bandaids on my old PC each time it had an issue. I got a new PC last night.



What files do I need to pull off the old PC from NWN so my settings dont all go back to default etc. I saved my old erf and modules, what other files should I go get?
